The cabin is located in a remote area of Bear Swamp State Forest. It is about 5 miles from the nearest paved road but has seasonal roads that take you to the cabin. There are many close attractions like Skaneateles Lake and Carpenters Falls. The Cabin doesn’t have electricity or water but we do have a generator available. We do not have a shower or bathroom but we have an outhouse. We do ask people to bring their own gas if you want to run the generator and woods to make a fire. I highly recommend 4x4 vehicles but I been there in a civic and a mini van.

I live off grid in one of the toughest climates in the US. I have about 15 acres of land bordered by 10,000 acres of wild forest preserve. Locals refer to this area as The Hill because of its unique weather anomalies. I share my experiences with campers in good weather but exist here all year. I am a Qualified NYS Woodland Guide. My actual license is pending the processing of fees and registration. This should be complete by August 1st of this year. I have over a half century of knowledge gained through a lifetime of hiking, exploring and living in this environment. My main focus is the land, lakes, ponds and streams in the lower Adirondack Park. I leave the high peaks, ice climbing and white water rafting to others that choose that speciality. My goal in guiding is not that of a just a follow me and listen guide. I strive to help those interested in learning about and enjoying the outdoors safely so that you take away real life skills you can use once we are done. I did search and resuce work as a volunteer for many years under DEC Forest Rangers. To help contain costs l will allow up to groups of people to participate at one time. Also. If you would like Amish made products, l can arrange that as well. There is a very conservative Amish community in the surrounding area. I consider these people my good friends and l am very familiar with their customs, traditions and lifestyles. Many people are now thinking of doing what we have done. About the Property: Our unique property boasts peaceful camping on a beautifully manicured MotoTrials Riding and Obstacle Play Course. All 4 camping sites are nestled into the Obstacle course. Pets always welcome off-leash with your guidance. About the Trials Riding: Sundays may be an Event day. We host 5 Mototrial Events each season (see below) and if spectating appeals, you can plan your trip to coincide. You're in for a treat if you've never seen these nimble motorcycles do their 'thing'... up, over, and around the obstacles. Events are busy and exciting, but no worries (!) trials bikes are not loud. Riders are friendly and considerate. If spectating not your thing- no worries. Non-event days are quite laidback. If Trials riders come here for additional practice (or instruction) it's not loud or invasive, nor interferes with any camper training or play on the course. When riders are here (barring Events ), it's typically only 2-4 at once. Multiple activities co-exist nicely, as there is plenty of room for all. Lovely and quiet with a beautiful view. Eshay was very communicative and helpful - I accidentally booked for the wrong dates (Fri-Mon instead of Thurs-Mon), but when we showed up on Thursday she was able to accommodate us and we could pay for the extra night on arrival, which I really appreciated. It was great to have showers and composting toilets on site. Enjoyed our stay!

This was such a relaxing and enjoyable stay for us! The tent and amenities were absolutely on point. Marie and Renee were wonderful hosts. They were incredibly welcoming and answered every question we had. They also provided so many thoughtful amenities that made our camping experience comfortable and hassle-free.
The tent itself was spacious, cozy, and beautifully relaxing. We slept so well both nights and truly felt like we were able to unwind and enjoy the experience.
Overall, we highly recommend this stay to anyone looking to try glamping on this side of the state. We would absolutely stay here again!

Great view and plenty of room for the dogs to run around off-leash! Also left us a cube of water and led us to the site on her 4x4. The mattress was not very comfy (air mattress). She left us a pump though, but needed to get up twice to blow it up during the night. Tent was warm and felt safe and sturdy and waterproof. Bring a blanket if weather is cold! Firepit is nice and outdoor chairs were comfy.

We had a wonderful stay at Coyote Hollow Site 2! Even though it rained most of the weekend, the glamping tent kept us warm and dry. The hosts were incredibly friendly and had thought of every detail to make our stay comfortable.

The tent and site were perfect! Even better than advertised. The location is amazing-- so close to town but very private and quiet. The tent was spacious and the mattress was comfortable. A small cupboard outside contained a few necessary items we forgot-- namely bug spray and a lighter for the campfire. I intend to stay here again in the future.
Beware that the road leading up to the site is a little rough.
