Bridgeview Harbour Marina is a family owned and operated full service marina, event space, and camping area on the Adirondack shore of Lake Champlain. Established in 2020 the Marina provides seasonal and overnight slips and moorings to boaters, fisherman, and lake-goers, three camp sites, and an on-site cafe. Marina services are available May thru October each year, with other events and services available throughout the year. The marina is set on 33 acres along Lake Champlain and hosts ~4150 feet of lake-frontage, it is accessible via car, boat, or via the adjacent Amtrak rail line. Prior to becoming a marina in 1989, the property was home to a very large Iron Foundry, rail yard, and barge-loading operation known as Cedar Point. Cedar point, part of the larger Witherbee-Sherman Mining Company, operated in the late 19th and early 20th centuries smelting iron ore to be shipped throughout the world via the Lake Champlain Canal and Hudson River, and is credited with providing iron to some of America's leading projects at the time. Some remains of the sites industrious past can be observed throughout the property. From Father's Day to Labor Day, the Marina hosts the Port Henry Waterfront Farmers' Market every Friday between 5PM and 8PM. Dredge spoils were transported and placed creating a tract of land that rises 50 feet above the river and surrounding lands. The New York Power Authority acquired the property from the Leishman's who owned and operated a farm on the surrounding lands. In 2000, the New York Power Authority deemed the property surplus and conveyed it to the Town of Waddington. Fishing for huge pike, bass and perch in Penfield pond for a small fishing fee paid to Penfield foundation to support the historic site. Our family, tent sites and Camper rental share the property. 3 nights at Fall Water Farm

This little cabin was a nice retreat away from home for a few days. Having bedding provided was a nice touch and the bed is very comfortable. The parking is not far from the cabin (maybe 50-100ft) and the driveway was even plowed very shortly after a few inches of snow fell during my stay. There’s a fair amount of yard space available, great for playing in the snow this time of year, and the steam right outside the cabin door is a pretty sight and sound every time you exit. This cabin is also perfect for anyone who doesn’t like dealing with a wood stove to keep warm, instead a gas radiator controlled by a digital thermostat keeps the cabin warm exactly how you like it, a very surprising but much appreciated bonus I found out after arriving. Overall, this cabin was fantastic, warm, and cozy, and I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for somewhat easy cabin camping in the winter.

I loved being there. Easy to find. Lovely to walk around the farm. Enjoyed the alpacas, chickens and turkeys. The staff was easy to communicate with via text. Electric, water and fire pit all easy to find and use.

Ken is a great host. We loved camping at Tilden Farms so much that we returned when we realized we would be in the area. The sites are clean, easily accessible, and Ken is available to answer questions. Highly recommend camping at Tilden Farms!!

I can't say enough good things about our stay with Joan and the area in general. It was beautiful, relaxing, and just what my wife and I needed for a weekend away. This working farm was absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. Joan was such a generous host, she even invited us out to see the cows which was the highlight of our stay. The farm was easy to locate and there was plenty of room to maneuver virtually any size RV. We will absolutely be back for a visit in the warmer months!

This was such a great find! I have put it on my list of places to return to. I did not appreciate until arriving that Tilden Farm has won many awards (including best Hip Camp in NY) and is a destination for mountain bikers. The awards are well earned. The sites are thoughtfully located and supported with everything needed. The communication was perfect.

The open secluded space provided was amazing and having firewood on site was top notch. Very beautiful view to wake up too and the trails were great and the trees was so beautiful. Would definitely come back again!! The host was great and showed us where our campsite was when we got there late, 😅 she was nice to wait up. They have hot showers which was great and a cute little farmers market where she had the veggies and eggs there to purchase. Plus there were cows there to see, so cute! Thanks again and would definitely come back again!!

Joan is an amazing host and the farm is breathtakingly beautiful! She made sure my stay at the base camp was comfortable and that I had everything I needed while giving me plenty of space (and recommendations) for doing my own thing. Getting to explore the island as the fall colors were popping was the break I needed. The steak I purchased from their stock was also ridiculously good with this garlic Parmesan "Better Butter" that I got from the local store. So good. If I lived on the East Coast, I'd definitely visit again!

Weekend Trip to Slateville Farm Secluded Camps

My family (7 year old daughter, husband and dog) had the most wonderful time tent camping at the Hops site on Heather and Paul's beautiful farm. It's such a special, expansive place with so many cool spots to hike to within the farm that we didn't feel like we needed to leave the property. We loved the peace and privacy of the Hops site but next time we'd like to try to Oak tree site which has stunning views. My daughter loved drinking directly from the spring behind Heather's house, and visiting the pergola near dusk. The highland cows against the backdrop of rolling hills and the beautiful slate structures look like paintings. I'd definitely recommend taking the tour of the property to orient yourself. Heather is a lovely person and a knowledgeable and engaging host.
