Ben, Amanda and their little one live here, in the home that Ben grew up in. They make it a large part of their lives to tend the land, with plenty of time spent planting and nourishing perennial fruit and nut 'orchards.' In 2020, we built our first (of two) tent platforms with accompanying sites and outhouses. Our goal is to share our beautiful land, view, and peaceful solitude with those who are interested. This land was originally inhabited by the Wabanaki, and anyone with indigenous roots is welcome to camp here, free of charge. Rustic Farm Camping in the White Mountains Welcome to our peaceful field on a historic 7th-generation farm in Whitefield, NH—nestled in the heart of the White Mountains. Just minutes from downtown and surrounded by lakes, rivers, trails, breweries, and local eats, our location is perfect for outdoor explorers and weekend wanderers. We’re near the Heritage Trail and right on the Cross New Hampshire Adventure Trail route—great for bikers and hikers. Our field offers star-filled skies, monarch butterflies, and frequent visits from deer and other wildlife. We intentionally keep the area wild and unmowed to support native species and maintain the natural beauty of the land. This is a very rustic, off-grid campsite—best for those who appreciate nature and are prepared to rough it. There are no hookups, electricity, or potable water. An outhouse compost toilet is available (bring your own TP). No showers or dump stations. Please do not dump grey/black water anywhere on the property. We allow small RVs, vans, and trailers under 24 ft. No 5th wheels. 4WD is recommended but not required. Garden carts are available, upon request, to haul gear if needed. Important to Know: No pets (we’re a working farm with chickens and farm dogs). Fires allowed only in designated pit. Bring firewood (or purchase from us) and always follow fire bans. Pack out your trash (small bin next to outhouse provided for cans/bottles). No cutting trees or using the large bonfire pile in the center of the field. Arrive before dark—there are no lights on site or along the field road. If muddy, you may need to park at the bottom of the access road. We rent to up to 3 groups per night, sites are first come, first serve. Our family farmhouse dates back to the 1850s, with five remaining acres including the barn, fields, and woods. We offer farm-fresh eggs and seasonal produce when available. Bears & Wildlife: This is bear country. Store all food, coolers, and scented items in your vehicle. Never keep food in your tent, and keep your campsite clean at all times. This site is best suited for those who enjoy a rustic, back-to-basics camping experience. If you love nature, starlit skies, and a peaceful setting with a touch of farm life, we’d love to share this special piece of land with you.

Wandering Pines is a little slice of magic in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire. Our sites range in size and privacy and offer field or wooded land. The sites are near our Small House on 5 acres but far enough away to feel private. We currently have 2 large campsites, 5 primitive walk in sites, 3 Pick your own sites, 3 park and sleep sites and 2 RV camper sites. If our sites are booked, please message me. We have a ton of space and can accommodate you somewhere! During the warmer months(April-Early December) all the sites have access to water and a primitive outhouse and handwashing/dishwashing station. Firewood can be purchased. Please check our extras for other items for purchase. We have wetlands and overgrown fields so there may be bugs and other animals at any given time. Bug spray is recommended. Although black bears are generally shy and usually avoid humans, they are opportunistic and will search for human food supplies when natural foods are not available. Maintaining a sustainable bear population in New Hampshire depends on minimizing human-bear conflicts. It is illegal to intentionally feed bears in New Hampshire. Intentional feeding can create problems within residential areas and can result in fines. It also may threaten the life of the bear, if it becomes a nuisance animal as a result of this feeding. Please keep your food in your car when you are not at the site and when you are sleeping. The property has views of Mount Martha and the Presidential Mountain Range. There are easy walking trails throughout the property. There is a field to play games; Soccer, wiffle ball, corn hole and yard croquet can be used. Just ask We are within 25 mins of Lancaster, Jefferson, Littleton, and Bethlehem. Small town bars, restaurants, breweries and one of a kind views of mountains, lakes, rivers and wildlife. There is hiking galore and more than enough to do for all ages.

Camp Ebb and Flow is located on the western edge of the White Mountains, near the crossing of the Appalachian Trail and a short drive to VT. Three lakes nearby for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. Hiking trails nearby. The camp offers RV sites with water, electricity, and sewer, an RV site with no hookups, and several tent sites. One of the tent sites has water and electricity and another has electricity with nearby water. There is bathhouse with two toilets and two vanities as well as a shower with changing room. Potable water is also available from a spigot at the bathhouse. There are over six acres of mowed fields for activities and walking. There is also a lovely brook running through the property with many areas you can cool off in from the summer heat. This property has a lengthy history going back to colonial times. It’s been a farm, an apple orchard, and once had a sawmill. Please check the calendar for available dates. Check-in is no later than 9pm unless late arrival arrangements have been made prior to booking. Whenever possible, try to arrive before dark because there are no lights at most sites, which can make setup difficult. A note regarding electric vehicles (EV): If you have an electric vehicle and would like to tent camp, please select one of our full hookup RV sites. If you have the proper electric adapter for your vehicle, you can charge your vehicle at the 30A RV plug while tenting in the field near the RV site. We do not supply these adapters, and we cannot allow you to charge your vehicle unless you have reserved an RV site with full hookups. If you do not see an open site for the days you'd like to get away, please contact us. Sometimes we can make other arrangements, allowing you to stay.

Socks Family Farm comprises 30 acres, high in the hills of Cabot VT. We book only one reservation at a time, to give our guests a unique, private experience. Campers can choose from a wide open site with a view of the mountains, or a secluded site in the woods, with the babbling year-round brook in the background. The fields are meadowland, where we pasture our animals, cut hay, and enjoy the company of a diverse cohort of grasses, flowers, insects, and birds. On clear nights, the stars are lovely, and you'll be treated to the breathtaking sweep of the Milky Way. During the day, you can linger in the gardens, visit the sheep and chickens, wade in the pond, hike in the woods, walk the lovely dirt roads, or head out on your bike. If you're ready to range further, we're a short drive to hiking, paddling, fishing, swimming, epic mountain biking, quaint eateries, microbreweries, and more. St Johnsbury and Montpelier are the closest cities (25 and 35 minutes). Burlington is 1.25 hours, and Montreal is 2.5 hours. We moved to this land in 2007 with our two small children, and began developing a homestead. Over time, we built 2 greenhouses, a large equipment shed, planted and fenced an orchard and berry garden, a large vegetable patch, made several flower gardens, set up systems for pasturing sheep and chickens, planted native shrubs and trees, and completely renovated the farmhouse. We practice organic regenerative agriculture and landscaping, with a deep commitment to strengthening and diversifying ecological systems. We offer free farm tours, and those who want to help and learn are welcome. We love the beauty of this land, and look forward to sharing it with you.
