We are a small, family owned campground in Steelville, Missouri. Our goal is to offer a fun, family-friendly camping experience to create great memories!

While we are not on the river, there are many river access points around us and we are 3 minutes up the road from downtown Steelville!
We are also just up the road from the Meramec Music Theatre! We have hosted many guests that have enjoyed listening to their favorite music groups!
We are about 10 minutes from the Meramec Spring Park! Enjoy a hike at the beautiful natural spring, the rainbow trout at the hatchery, or fishing along the river!
We want to be as convenient for you as possible! So we offer free Wi-Fi, no charge to use the shower house or dump station, firepits, picnic tables, and access to use the pavilion.
Even when the weather is not picture perfect you can camp here worry free! Unlike many other nearby campgrounds, we are above water level, so if the river floods, we will not send you away and you will not have to worry about your RV flooding!

The campsite clearing was great, and the large fire pit was a really nice bonus. Having the whole place to myself was the best part, Total privacy. The hiking trail is short but has good elevation gains. Highly recommend if you're looking for a peaceful, private getaway.

I went looking for remote, and remote is what I got. This places was absolutely fantastic! I stayed down by the river and had an amazing time. The road down can be a bit rocky but easily doable in just about any vehicle. Lance was a great host and shared a lot of knowledge about the property and surrounding area. I'll definitely be back!!!

we love this place!! what crooked creek lacks in amenities it makes up for in peace, solitude and outdoor fun!! my pack of dogs love the freedom to be wild while their parents sit by the fire. the trail around the property is lovely too. thank you to ross for sharing this slice of heaven!!

We loved tent camping out here on Lance's land, it was beautiful, the woods are lovely and secluded which is exactly what we were looking for. Lance is a wonderful host and very accommodating. We will definitely be back in the future for a longer stay, 5/5 stars!

We have been here a couple times before. We love the land and the lakes. The updated bathroom is nice and clean. The only area they could improve on is to have someone that actually works in the office. This happens every time we stay there. You have to call to get someone to the office. This time it was 10 minutes for one wait and over an hour for another. This is unacceptable in my eyes. Their service is lacking.

Beautiful lake, accessible bathhouse, and wooded RV sites. It was a great get-a-way and fun to be on a farm with gorgeous horses. The nearest town is about a 17 minutes drive away, so bring plenty of food or block out time to drive into town.

I live in a rural area and this is VERY RURAL, and that’s just fine. The hosts are very nice and accommodating. We could have stayed up top but wanted a view of the river so we braved the rustic trail to the secluded river spot. We both had AWD and were glad we did because it was a bumpy ride. However, totally worth it. The site faced west over the river and we got to see deer run across the low river and heard owls and coyotes. It was 100% primitive camping down there but we had brought water and a portable toilet so we were prepared. If you have a vehicle that can make the trek down and you don’t mind primitive and secluded, then this is a spot for you.

Second time at spring ranch with our travel trailer, so it’s kind of obvious that we like the location and the amenities. Staff at the main building are excellent and very helpful, bath house is clean and nice. Kayak rental is perfect and a nice way to spend a fall day, and a good 2 mile loop trail for hiking is enjoyable.
