Rather you're after solitude or sport, this area has you covered. Kayak, canoe, and shuttle rental, service is available at hufstedlers.com and is a short 11.5 mile drive. Beautiful eleven point river offers blue, red, and white ribbon, spring fed trout/walleye water. If you're looking to float the river, be sure to research the many springs on the way down your trip and the historic mill communities that once flourished there. These are perfect opportunities to take a break, eat a meal, and explore the area. Most also will have public bathrooms. Unless there are multiple reservations, you will be allowed to hookup/stay at whichever site is the easiest for you to get parked at. We are also with in 8 miles of ROMP dirt bike trail and 1 mile from Moonlight trails and racing that is 400 plus acers of ATV and jeep trails. We have a few waterfalls on the property and lots of areas to hike as well. Several areas of camping to choose from, you can be in the woods or out in the open. Spring and Summer months we offer farm fresh eggs and there is always plenty of firewood. We recently added a pond area as well. We now have Electric and water as well.

We still find wild strawberries growing. The hills we ride and hike in, were once used by Jessie James and his gang. They robbed the local bank in Pineville, MO. And the first Jessie James movie, filmed in 1939, with Tyrone Power as Jessie James and Henry Fonda played Frank James.

Host is so helpful. He provides wood at a reasonable rate. Access to the creek is more than perfect and the water level there never seems to change, you can sit in a raft in the shallow area or visit the swimming hole (there are two, one closet to the primitive camp sites is the right, additionally if you walk down the creek to the left past the first bend you will find an even bigger swimming hole with a sandy beach, but shh! don't tell anyone I said that). This place is so close the shut ins, and for me that is a plus. This place is just so peaceful and full of people who share similar views about nature and our place within it. It has become one of my favorite spots. I’m so thankful that Harley is the kind of person who is willing to share his little piece of heaven with others, which is just another piece of collective experience of this place. I would love to leave a bad review to keep people from coming here and booking my favorite spot, but if Harley can open his place for me to further strengthen my connection with nature, it just doesn't feel right that I not let my kind of people know. Birds of a feather flock together.

Wonderful spot to camp! Had a grill and a place for a campfire plus a picnic table! The owner was so kind and stopped by when I got there and one more time a few hours later for a couple minutes just to check if I had everything I needed. He made me feel comfortable and he keeps wonderful care of his property. Could not recommend this campsite more!

Super nice and clean spot, we set up our tent about 20 yards from the river. Great for spending a day or 2 so you can go explore the River and cave not far from the campsite. Harless is super friendly and a great host, hooked me up with some fire wood upon arrival.

We loved our weekend of camping and bike riding at 7C’s winery. Their location was amazing for riding our bikes down the country gravel roads and connecting to the Frisco Highline Trail in Southwest Missouri. The hosts Dwight and his wife were amazing. They gave us access to the indoor restroom at the winery throughout the day and there was a very clean port a potty on the property to use also. They also allowed for us to charge our e-bike batteries with no issue. To cap off our weekend we had a wonderful wine and mead tasting. Will come back if in the area again.

I was hoping to find something close to some type of water, that was easy to find and pull in and out of, so I didn’t bother the weekenders for the holiday. We had such a wonderful experience at this campsite! The location is peaceful and tucked away, making it feel private and cozy. At night we were able to enjoy a campfire, and the hosts went above and beyond by providing us with fresh eggs (including duck eggs) and firewood. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and full of helpful suggestions about the area.
We also enjoyed fishing in the small pond on the property and taking walks around the grounds. Our dog had the best time running free and exploring the nature around us. Everything about this place made us feel relaxed and connected to the outdoors.
We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be coming back!
