Joel and I have co-authored several books (under the pen name J.E. Ribbey) which are also available in the Farm Store. We have an American post-apocalyptic thriller series and a historical fiction series for middle grade readers about the American Revolutionary War.
We have a nice, fully private outdoor shower with hot water available for $2.50/shower. Guests can pay on-site via our posted QR codes or cash box.
We're also available for other events like birthday parties, intimate weddings, and group gatherings at our gazebo and/or 20ft x 40ft party tent.

Cozy lakeside cottage that sleeps two, with level lawn space nearby that will fit two additional tents in your group. Dedicated private space is in lower level backyard with access to dock* (*May -September), lake and wildlife wetlands with boardwalk. You'll see the setting sun from the end of the dock and have access to a paver patio firepit. Private 3/4 bath and comfortable TV room is 60 steps away in the house. Mostly private spaces with some shared spaces such as driveway, hallways, sometimes we cross paths in the yard. Mystic Lake Casino, Canterbury Downs, renaissance fest, Valleyfair, & many other area lakes besides the 600 acre all sports lake that the property is located on are in the immediate area. For location purposes, we are located 3.7 miles of the Prior Lake, MN McDonald's.
The basic price of $80 per night includes up to two campers inside or outside of the cottage, but up to two additional campers and tents can be added to the reservation for $20 per person/ per night. A limit of two persons inside of the cottage and four persons total are allowed per reservation. All persons must be declared ahead of reserving the space and ID’d for insurance purposes. Please note that all persons on the reservation must submit a copy of their valid picture government ID to the host (via platform) prior to arrival (but after booking), and sign a property liability waiver upon check in. The host will discuss the procedure with you as HC supports pictures only after booking. Please ask prior to booking if you have any questions about this- this is a requirement of our short term rental insurance, and part of our self check in procedure.

Set on 36 acres we have a campsite back away from the house so you can have your own private area to camp! We have several maintained trails for walking or biking. Two small ponds on the property, one of which usually has turtles and the other brings in ducks, geese, deer and other wildlife. Eagles and cranes are often seen flying overhead. We do have a few hobby farm animals on the property that would love a visit from you if you request it for your stay. We are now offering our out house to our guests if needed, shown in the picture gallery. The outhouse is located closer to the resident's property, and you will have to go into our gated duck area to get to it. Milaca is about 10 miles away with great parks, biking trails, splash pad, Rum River and Frisbee golf. Foley is about 7 miles away and has a great family pool for summertime and nice parks. 5 nights at Cozy Lakeside Cottage Guestroom
This was exactly what I was looking for. The property (and expected experience) is accurately described.
The property, including the cottage/camping area is bordered by trees and brush on two sides and the lake (with a dense growth of cattails) on the third.
Even though cottage/camping area is technically a spacious "backyard" I did feel like I was camping. The "cottage" is pretty much the size of an Expedition tent.
I stayed for five nights. I precooked my meals and home intending to heat them over the fire but ended using the microwave instead.
For this time year (late October) this is good option. If the weather gets nasty (too cold or even snow) the "cottage" is a wonderful backup.

I have stayed at Jubilee Homestead a handful of times over 3 years. It’s a beautiful slice of land to bring my friends and my granddaughters to. The animals, the beautiful barn and owners are all great. Esther answers messages within minutes and is so helpful always. She and her husband have written many books and we bought one on this visit. I’ll be coming back here a few times every year. It’s wonderful to bring my city granddaughters out so they can experience this beautiful country life! Picking apples from trees, touching goats and chickens and just playing at the playground, it’s a sweet slice of country life.

Esther’s property was so beautiful and relaxing! I loved all the chickens, goats and seeing the neighbors’ cows and horses. Also, one of the barn cats literally climbed up in my lap and cuddled into my neck!! So sweet! The little path around their property is cute and the outhouse was so clean and roomy. The cookies at arrival were delicious and I purchased a book (excited to read) and crochet pig from their little store. It was a quick stay but peaceful and relaxing. I would recommend!

My grandkids; ages 8 and 10 and I visited wonderful farm this past weekend for a one nite getaway. We all loved the experience! The kids rollerbladed in the barn, played with the cats and loved seeing the goats and chickens! Our glampung tent was perfect; comfortable bed and fun vibe. We definitely will be back next year! We had a wonderful visit at the Jubilee camp. The place is peaceful, fun and beautiful. Many things to do rain or shine. The animals, love how the owners provide information and names of many. The “poop coop” is the best outhouse alive seen yet. And the owners - greeted us upon arrival. Always answered any questions within an extremely short time and I feel went out of their way to make the visit enjoyable.
We do hope to visit again next summer!

Great secluded space! lots of trees on the campsite, ground can be a little uneven just take note. The lake is beautiful, lots of wildlife. Watch your step around the dock, its a little shaky. Could use a bit of landscaping around the picnic tables but Gary came to meet us and talk about the area. Bonus for Goats on the property. Its close to the dirt road when you come off so easy in easy out.

Gary and Katherine are so amazing. They are so accommodating and Katherine even got us some wild grapes and apples from their land! They were so awesome. I didn’t get time to go see the chickens or goats but I will be back. The area we chose was nestled in the trees and had direct access to the fire pit and the lake. The lake is amazing and the wildlife is breathtaking. I had a great time and like I said, I WILL be back!

Our family camped here for 2 nights and it was such a blast. Absolutely beautiful sunsets each night! We jumped off the dock and swam in the crisp, clean lake in the cool misty morning and in the afternoon summer heat. Cooking and eating meals on the floating pontoon picnic table was a fun and unique experience. The trumpeter swans were a fun surprise. Gary was a great host and a great communicator. Made core family memories here!
