2 nights at Gossman Goat Ranch

My family and I (2 adults, 3 and 8 year old) loved staying at the cabin on Cathy’s goat farm. We arrived on an unexpectedly cold and snowy spring weekend, and I was afraid we were in for a cold and wet weekend. Not the case! The cabin was toasty warm (Cathy was thoughtful to warm it up for us in advance) from both an indoor propane heater and an enclosed fireplace. With that and the duvets we brought, it was a cozy retreat. Bonus points for the games provided and helpful supply boxes in case we forgot any essentials! Cathy is a friendly and thoughtful host. Definitely get the eggs from the farm chickens and special handmade goat milk soap (the scents are SO good). She let us have our space, but was right there anytime we had a question or needed help. Our bonus hosts - Cathy’s three kids - were also so kind and friendly to my daughters, and they had a bunch of fun playing on the trampoline, playground and around the property. The definite highlight of the trip for all of us were the goats and other farm animals! My daughter got to hold a goat kid that had just been born hours before, which was truely magical. Being able to hang out in the field with a huge herd of goats, a few calves, chickens, friendly barn cats and dogs really made the trip special. All the animals were so friendly! We’ll definitely be returning!

Weekend Trip to Frickson Family Farms, LLC.

We loved our stay at Frickson Farm, the cabin was perfect! We loved stocking up on meat and goods from the farm store. It’s near the highway but very quite and peaceful and the stars were beautiful.

We absolutely loved the setup of the tiny home! Wood stove kept us warm and cozy while the snow fell outside. Awesome patio area so we cooked all of our food over the fire pit which included a handy movable grate. Having firewood included was so nice. The 3 miles of hiking were enjoyed greatly by us and our dog!

1 night at S-Camp at Turtle Head Rock

The camp was very nice. It’s close to the streams we wanted to fish and there isn’t a lot of traffic on the road it’s off of. I’d stay again for sure!

5 nights at S-Camp at Turtle Head Rock

The site itself is awesome! I definitely would recommend for SMALL trailers and vehicles with 4x4 for the dirt road if it's not nice out. The outhouse is awesome, I don't have to worry about falling over!

1 night at Frickson Family Farms, LLC.

Nice camp set up with water and electricity. Smooth entrance and exit for our 28' travel trailer. Andy responded quickly and ensured we were all set up even though we arrived after dark. Only downside is I-90 is just across the field and highway noise was a part of the stay. Thanks much Frickson's.

Our family purchased this land for adventure. We would love to share our adventure with you. Groomed UTV/hiking trails on our property. Hiking access into Duck Egg county park with over 10 miles of trails to explore on 900 acres. Drive and park directly at our cabin nestled in the driftless. It is totally private on 140 acres. Watch the wildlife from the porch while enjoying a campfire. The cabin offers 2 queen beds on the loft, a futon and fully stocked kitchen. Outdoor bathroom with plumbing. We offer 2 campsites directly on the Bad Axe River with hike in or utv assist access only. Park at designated parking area. The campsite has fire ring and table and chairs at the site, firewood available for 10/night. 5 gallons potable water provided. Hike in or purchase utv assist to get gear to the site $20 both ways We also have a 'glampsite' which already has a 10x12 wall tent on a 12x20 platform, with a queen bed and all bedding included. 10 gallons potable water provided. An outdoor kitchen contains everything you need to lessen your packing for a total relaxed and spoiled camping experience, all paper products and cookware in stocked kitchen. Charcoal and grill, 24" gas griddle, 2 burner coleman stove with propane included. Glamp directly on the river. There is a separate picnic area with fire ring, picnic table and swing set for the kids! Pets are welcome!
