We installed a water hydrant close to the flower bed near the wood pile so you can get potable water to bring back to your site, or hose off with on the spot. Wonderful place to stay, whether you are here for mountain biking, water adventures or just looking for a place to rest and relax. Mark and his wife, Amy, were wonderful hosts. We stayed in one of the 4 non-electric camping spots which easily accommodated our 22’ Sprinter Campervan. Our site had a fire ring and picnic table and was a short walk to the beautiful communal fire pit area and fantastic outdoor shower. Everything was clean and well maintained. I highly recommend a stay at Dragon Adventures Base Camp.

Dragon Adventures Base Camp is truly a gem for any outdoor enthusiast looking for a memorable experience in Michigan. The location is absolutely perfect—situated right next to the legendary Dragon Trail, it's a dream come true for mountain bikers and hikers. You can literally roll out of your tent or cabin and be on the trail in minutes. The facilities are fantastic and show a real thoughtful approach to camping. The outdoor showers with hot water are a massive plus after a day of adventuring, and the "beer garden" area is a great communal space to relax, play yard games, and connect with other campers around a fire pit.

Just spent three nights in the rustic area, in my camper van. The outdoor shower is fabulous, and the numerous well-positioned porta johns are sparkling clean. We were a group of three, and the rustic sites were perfect for us: enough space for all, picnic tables, fire rings, a head...we had a blast. There's access to the Dragon trail a very short distance from the camp; if you haven't ridden it (or hiked it), get to it, it's awesome! This place is already amazing, and the Deerings are just getting started!

We had an amazing stay at Nellie's Hip Camp with our two kids and two dogs! The property is beautiful with plenty of room to spread out and take in the stunning views. The showers were fantastic—so nice that we skipped using the one in our van and happily walked to the Bin instead. The owners were incredibly friendly and responsive, making our stay even more enjoyable. Our kids loved the playground, which was such a cool feature built with natural materials. The location is ideal—very close to a camp store and a perfect jumping-off point for exploring Iron Fish, the dunes, and more of Northwest Lower Michigan. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Flipside Acres

The Cedar campsite at Flip side is such a fun spot. The hosts have set up a lot of nice things -- picnic table, community campfire spot, covered area, hiking trail, even a zip line!! We relaxed with our dogs, and watched the peaceful turkeys and deer who live nearby. Our truck camper is 10 and a half feet tall, perfect height to fit beneath the entry sign! Spring Lake is a beautiful community and a quick drive to Muskegon, Grand Haven and points beyond.

4 nights at Bear Woods Resort and Campground

We enjoyed our stay over the 4th of July weekend. Very clean and accommodating, nice roomy rv lots with hook ups. The only thing that stood out was some kind of shelving in the showers to put your nesseciates and not have to put them on the floor while you were showering. Would highly recommend and we will be returning.

Weekend Trip to Harvest Village - Farmstay

Dan and Arlene were friendly, hospitable, and professional. Wonderful little farm with a lodge with shower and toilet. I also really enjoyed the farm tour in the evening. I would absolutely go back!

Weekend Trip to Dragon Adventures Base Camp

I car camped for the weekend and rented a kayak for the day. The property and the host exceeded my expectations. Host was good with communications and had helpful suggestions for exploring the area. Clean, quiet, and thoughtfully appointed. The shower was a huge plus. For sure it has an outdoor adventure vibe, but would be equally great for a friends group glamping get away or a small family reunion. Many different options for camping/lodging. Will be back for adventures or maybe a quiet remote work week in the woods. These guys are building something special.
