Right next door is Baker's Green Acres, a regenerative working farm with cows, chickens, pigs, and dogs. This is farm country, with open land and lots of quiet.
For example, only 16 miles away is Mitchell State Park. White sand, blue water and warm sunlight mesh to make a rockin’ vacation atmosphere at William Mitchell State Park. Whether you’re a fan of skiing, hiking, snowmobiling, fishing or swimming, you can give your next outdoor excursion a dash of something special here. Enjoy the celebratory vibe that comes along with seasonal festivals and top-notch picnicking on 300+ acres between Lakes Mitchell and Cadillac, or head out on the Mitchell-Heritage nature trail for superb wildlife viewing.
There is a creek within walking and biking distance of the campground, plus good fishing just up the road a few minutes. Come on over and visit the farm while you're here! You can pick up eggs from the hens, pet the cows, and laugh at the antics of the pigs.

Peaceful setting on 40 wooded acres that is located at the end of two county roads with virtually no traffic. Upon arriving at the property, you will enter through a gate and arrive to the secluded camp area with a beautiful, cozy full log cabin. *Please note the directions begin at the Shell Station (102 South Michigan Avenue, Manton, MI 49663) because the cabin doesn't have a physical address.* We're happy to meet you and guide you right to it!

The cabin has propane lighting, propane refrigerator, an antique stove with burner tops, and a free-standing propane gas stove for crisp evenings. There is a small kitchen area with a sleeping loft above and a sitting/family area at the far end of the cabin. The kitchen is equipped with pots and pans, coffee pot, dishes, and misc. utensils. *Please bring your own linens, pillows, and water.
On the backside of the cabin, you'll find a peaceful sitting area with a firepit. When nature calls, there is a well-built outhouse that is available. There is also a large outdoor shower with heated water and a dressing area. There are trails that meander through the property for those who enjoy walking, biking, snowmobiling, or four wheeling. You won't find a more peaceful, tranquil property to relax in and enjoy the wildlife. Only 1.3 miles into Manton with several bars and restaurants. Within 3 miles you are able to gain access to State property, the Manistee River, and Chase Creek.
From the trails in this area you can go as far as Houghton Lake and Fife Lake. Great area for hunting, fishing, four wheeling, dirt bikes, and hiking. This is a great getaway you don't want to miss out on!

We are across the street from Little Long lake and right up the road from Budd Lake public boat launches. We have deeded lake access to Little Long Lake with use of our paddle boat and kayaks. We can provide parking with a boat, trailer, etc., but will need to be arranged prior to check-in.
There are several restaurants, delivery options, and a grocery store right down the road. There is also a putt putt golf, skiing and snow tubing at Snow Snake, arcade, batting cages, bowling, indoor golf, ax throwing, beaches and Wilson State Park.

Gearing up for our 6th season as the new owners of The Sportsman's Port.
We have made many updates and will continue to do so. We take pride in a
clean bath house, and want everyone to have a great time at our campground. Sometimes it's crazy booked up and other times it may just be you.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have and we will answer them as soon as we can. We look forward to meeting lots of new faces and hopefully starting family traditions for you and yours. We have spacious sites that are all different shapes and sizes. Depending on the site it may have 20/30/50 amp service depending on the site. There are currently only three that have 50 amp service. Also some sites have a septic hookup. Water fill station is located near the bathhouse. There is a private dump station also available for use just ask.

We had a fantastic time at Sarah’s! We stayed at site 1 on the creek and in the shade. The land was beautiful and the outhouse was convenient and the fire pit was perfect. I think the other sites on the river were really great too, more in the sun but I think direct access to the river from your site would be great. No complaints! Just slightly different, site 1 def better if in sweltering sun/heat, and closest to outhouse. The other sites on the river prob better for river access and a little more spacious, just not much shade. If we had more than a couple people I’d opt for the sites on the river. But just me and my dad, site 1 was perfect. We had access to the bike trail RIGHT off Sarah’s property. The wood pile was convenient too. Hiking the road up to the property was also very peaceful. No issues whatsoever. Very clean. Almost no bugs at all which was surprising. It was a wonderful time and we’d stay here again if given the opportunity to. Thanks so much Sarah!

The ambience with the lights at night.. the soothing sounds of the river.. LOVE!! The dogs couldn’t have enjoyed it more either. Our golden had a morning swim as soon as we opened the tent! Definitely coming back again.

Was a very beautiful location. Only 4 sites, and we were the only ones there. We were at site 3, and it was a great location on the riverfront. It was a short walk to firewood if you didn't quite bring enough like us. And water was just up the hill. My dog loved it too.

We had such a great stay here! Site 34 was super spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms were really nice and clean. Having the rafting right at the campground was also incredibly convenient and made everything so easy. The owners were extremely nice, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. And of course, we loved meeting Biscuit, the cutest campground dog! 🐶❤️ We would definitely stay here again!
