It’s nice when you find a beautiful place to camp and relax but when you find a great campsite with exceptional hosts, now that’s treasure!
Bill and Karen were overly accommodating to our each and every need while providing a beautifully private campsite for us to overnight in Traverse City!

This was a great find. Lovely spot right on their active farm, set on some beautiful grass in their nicely landscaped yard and looking out over the fields and surrounding woods. 30a power at both sites and water with hoses already there for ease of hookup. In addition they provided a fire pit, wood and a charcoal bbq.
Owners are great people and we were sent communication right when we made the reservation and upon arrival met by Bill one of the owners who not only made sure we had everything we needed but provided great conversation.
Area is well located, only 15 miles from Traverse City and a quick drive over to the coast and Lake Michigan.
We would definitely go back to this spot.
We really enjoyed staying at patchwork. The hosts were very kind, great hospitality. Especially our dogs did not have to be on leash or in fence during our stay. It was very peaceful. Close to a lot of great towns and beaches. Will be going back for a return booking
If you’re looking for a peaceful slice of paradise near Traverse City, this small farm is it. The property is absolutely charming, with wide-open skies, rolling fields, and the kind of quiet that makes you want to stay forever. What really sets this place apart, though, are the hosts — two of the kindest, most welcoming people you could hope to meet. They’ve created a space that feels both relaxing and personal. Electric hookups were available and easy to access, which made our stay even more comfortable. If you’re lucky enough to snag a spot here, don’t hesitate — it’s a special place you won’t forget.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Patchwork Camp! Karen and Bill are some of the most generous, kind-hearted hosts we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home, going out of their way to get to know us and even our quirky, vocal pups! They welcomed us with open arms and went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience.
Karen and Bill even treated us to a delicious homemade dinner—such a thoughtful touch that truly made our stay memorable. We only wish we could have stayed longer, but we’re off to chase warmer weather. We’ll absolutely be back to Patchwork Camp and can’t wait to see our new friends again. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming stay!

Patchwork Campsite’s hosts made us & our dogs feel right at home! Karen & Bill know the history of the area sharing interesting stories. Sam, their Aussie, played with our youngest dog Blue till they were exhausted! Fun to watch!
The property has elec, water & a grill with views of the fields. It’s so peaceful!
Excellent host, great hookup facilities and a terrific view too. Karen and Bill were so friendly and accommodating. Easy in and out and even a “good” T-Mobile I-net connection.
