Come stay in our fully equipped glamping tents (2 tents, sleeping 6–8 comfortably) on our little homestead, just a 5-minute drive from Lake Michigan and the charming beach towns of Montague and Whitehall.
We’re also close to incredible biking and hiking trails. Pack your camp gear and your clubs—Old Channel Golf Course, a 27-hole gem, is just down the road.
We provide the tents, Japanese floor beds, fitted sheets, pillows, and twinkle lights. Guests also have access to our guest wing to restroom, shower, and access our coffee bar! Fully stocked with towels and toiletries by Fox Naturals. Laundry facilities are available if needed too!
Your site includes a fire pit, perfect for evenings under the stars. Stargazing here is truly 10/10, with little light pollution—we often see the Milky Way! You’re also welcome to explore our 5 acres of woods right outside your tent. Electric hookups are available, and guests are encouraged to enjoy our 50x80’ fully fenced English garden with lounge seating and produce stand.

Hosting May 22 - mid/Oct My husband Dan and I purchased this property 5 years ago and have totally restored the land, home and barn from its prior condition. Consequently, if you view the various on line satellite images be advised they are out of date and do not reflect the love we have put into our sanctuary. We are retired and live here with our two standard poodles Mila and Indiana.
The property is 5 acres, mostly meadow with a maple grove as well as a wooded ravine. We have planted various fruit trees, cherries, apples, peach as well as pears. We also have a small grape and berry patch which is next to our vintage trailer. There is also an old abandoned trail through the forest that makes for a nice walk.
Our location is convenient to Traverse City, Alden, Belaire, Kalkaska as well as the equestrian center and the casino in Williamsburg. There are various places to eat/drink within close proximity as well as places to purchase fuel, groceries and liquor.
Old Mission and Leelanau peninsulas are a convenient drive where you can visit the many vineyards, orchards and enjoy the beautiful vistas of the lake and bays, or shop some of the unique stores and galleries.
There are many off road vehicle and bike trails that are not far away as well. As well as boating on beautiful Torch Lake and the chain of lakes.
A day trip to Sleeping Bear dunes is well worth the drive.
We would be happy to make suggestions on activities, dining, entertainment during your stay.
We currently have three sites which are on seperate areas of the property. Lake View site is a Vintage 1985 Avion travel trailer which as been completely renovated with all new systems. It is located with a western view of Lake Skegemog and next to our grape and berry patch in our back yard. Maple Grove site is a new Coachmen Catalina Destination series RV. It is located on the front side of the property next to the maple tree grove. Lavender Lane is located in front of our barn with a view of our small orchard and the forest, close to the walking trail. All our sites are fully outfitted with quality linens, towels, dishes and cooking equipment. All of the units have Air Conditioned and heat.

Located in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the small town of Engadine. We are a few miles from Lake Michigan with the camp nesting beside the tranquil waters of Doe Creek. There is wildlife traveling through the property and at times make this their home.
This is a birding paradise for those birds migrating through and others building their nests and raising their babies here. Every spring is different those birds migrating, we see Indigo Bunting, Baltimore Oriole, Grosbeak and Bobolink. Occasionally we see just a flicker of color and wing and they are gone to another home. Actually nesting here are Hummingbirds, Cedar Waxwing and Sandhill Cranes, Every kind of Woodpecker is a daily sighting with the Pileated announcing his arrival that vibrates across the field and through the trees.
We are a hobby farm, we hay in July, garden during the summer and at times have a variety of farm animals. There is recreation galore including swimming, fishing, boating, skiing, hiking, and biking to name a few very familiar activities to this area.

We’ve a cute little trailer all set up for two with a large covered deck to enjoy a beverage and listen to the crickets. In the morning take your coffee out on the deck and hear the farm animals begin to wake up. Take a ride into downtown Ludington or a kayak/boat trip down the Pete Marquette or the Manistee rivers.
Spend the day at the beach relaxing, eat ice cream from the House of Flavors or visit the White Pine Village for a historic lesson.
Come back, grill up some dinner and enjoy a beverage with a campfire or watch the tele.

Those who want a homebase with a little extra comfort. Located within a few miles of the Baraga Plains ORV trail and North Country Trails. Trailer has one bedroom with a queen size bed. There is a twin rollaway bed and couch for additional sleeping space. Water is available for bathing and dishes. Please bring your own drinking water. Bathroom has a flushable toilet and shower. Kitchen has stove, toaster oven, refrigerator, and freezer. Coffee maker is also available. There is a picnic table, fire pit, and outdoor seating. Firewood may be used if on site. We offer a camping experience with a few extra amenities. Hipcamp is the perfect fit for our property. We would consider requests for camper or tents on site as well. Weekend Trip to HillCrest
Hillcrest (Lake View) has a beautiful view. Chose this for a fall getaway. Great location central to Traverse City (asylum tour) and Boyne Mountain (Skybridge). Hosts are friendly and Avion RV was a cool experience, clean and well-stocked with everything you need. Hope to visit again in the summer to experience Torch Lake, which is very close to this.

Bill & Dan’s place is lovely. While you are obviously staying in a RV, as soon as you walk out the door or look out the window there are beautiful expansive grounds that they have created. Flowers abound, lots of green grass and trees and places to sit in the yard and on the deck. A beautiful hot tub is made available to guests and it was a lovely way to unwind from the day of touring all that the area has to often.. Bill & Dan are great hosts and very accommodating to anything you might need. They pay so much attention to detail that it is quite impressive!
If you are on the tall side, it may be challenging to be in a bed that is shorter than normal size, as the RV designed beds are.
We both enjoyed our stay there and really appreciated how much there is to do in the area. It is centrally located between Traverse City and some of the things to do a little bit east and north, so it’s a great location.
It’s very quiet and peaceful on their property, and it is nice to be away from some of the hustle and bustle of Traverse City.
If you happen to have an EV, there’s an EV charging station 10 minutes away that works really well.
Definitely recommend Bill & Dan‘s place!

Loved this little camper, which was indeed cozy. We only got to stay for one night but did get to enjoy to outside fire pit area that was very relaxing, plus the views of the water. Upper Peninsula

Southwest Michigan
Grand Rapids is the gateway to Michigan’s southwest, where the shore of Lake Michigan provides plenty of options for a summer camping trip. Lakefront cities such as South Haven, Benton Harbor, and Holland have sandy beaches, historic lighthouses, and seafront campgrounds. Southeast Michigan
Michigan's "Thumb" juts out along the west shore of Lake Huron, where Sleeper State Park and Port Crescent State Park are the big draws for campers.
