Once owned by Tom Ryan and part of the 100+ acres of Ryan's Berry Farm, Kingsley Orchards now owns the middle 36 acres and market building of the historic farm.
Efforts paid off and the farm and market opened in June 2017 with a beautiful crop of blueberries and many multi-generational customers coming back with their children. The best outcome has been the opportunity to share growing food with children and helping them learn a love for outdoors and farming. We love the place and spacious site. There’s a convenient store where you can easily walk and buy some stuff you need for fishing/crabbing and for any other stuffs. The site has a very good view and they have a great option to book a site with water and electricity which is great! Especially in this heat weather. We just decided to go back home for the 2nd night as the weather was too hot and we couldn’t handle it anymore. And one thing about the site, since it’s surrounded by the bay, there’s a lot of geese poop, but Katie was very accommodating. She had let us borrow the broom, so we were able to clean up those in our site. We’ll still definitely go back to that site when the weather is cooler since it has a great view and convenience to a fishing/crabbing spot!

We just spent a wonderful weekend at this private campground about 30 minutes from Ocean City, MD, and it was exactly what we needed — a peaceful nature retreat with all the right comforts! The property perfectly balances rustic charm with modern conveniences. We loved having access to clean, well-maintained bathrooms and incredibly hot showers that felt like a luxury after a day outdoors.
The owner was fantastic — super friendly, flexible, and genuinely helpful with anything we needed. It made our stay so much more enjoyable knowing we could reach out easily.
What truly made this place special was the adorable animal crew that runs the property! The goats are absolute stars — so friendly and curious that they came right up to us for pets. The chickens and the very cute duck were just as charming, wandering around and adding so much personality to the grounds. We couldn’t stop smiling every time we saw them!
The location is ideal too — close enough to enjoy a day at the beach in Ocean City or Assateague Island, then come back to relax by a fire while nature sings you to sleep. Whether you’re tent camping, in an RV, or staying in one of the mini cabins, this spot has something for everyone. Highly recommend for families, couples, or anyone looking to unplug and recharge. We’ll definitely be back!

We returned to Why Not Acres for our third stay. The camp is just perfect. It is peaceful. The owners are welcoming and helpful. Everything is clean and well maintained.
There is lots for kids to do including fishing in the pond, interacting with the rescued horses, miniature horses, donkeys and mules.
It is a 25 - 30 minute drive to downtown Ocean City which is another draw to the camp.
We loved seeing Miriam and Mike again. There are just lovely people. Very kind to our grandsons by sharing their amazing farm with them.
We can’t wait to return again in the near future!

Suzette and her husband were friendly and very helpful. Their site was shady and quiet and on a separate drive away from the hosts' house. The 30 Amp hookup was well placed and worked without a hitch. While they were up-front about water you have to be prepared and fill up your fresh water tank before arrival. They can (and did) assist with getting water from their outside spigot if and when you need it, but they did not have a hose long enough to get down to the camper site so you have to bring your camper to the spigot.
