WELCOME to Happy Hippie Lane Maine! Get your "groove" on or hang loose here on a precious little island with a big bridge just off route one in the heart of Midcoast. Hundreds of guests report the perfect balance of upbeat fun and chill time and call our place and hospitality "magic", "amazing" and "holy guacamole!" It is a lovely spot just off the beaten path but close enough to access the frey. :) I welcome my guests personally and have likely had a chat before you booked. I like to know what your hopes and priorities are around your stay before I accept so I can meet both of our needs. When you arrive, I will greet you and share a little history/tour of the place. I accept travelers between 4 and 9 pm but like all of us schedules fluctuate and we can roll some. There's a strong chance on an average Maine clear summer evening, I have the campfire going and the solar lights around the yard are charged for their evening gentle show. All of the spaces I rent are bedrooms only. You walk a few steps/yards to my 5 bedroom home and access two showers and some kitchen use. I also have an outdoor shower and outdoor kitchen that is cute and for your use. It's fun to cook on the fire too! I prefer folks to limit cooking esp in hot weather but support healthier eating and may share some of my foraging tips. The rooms are equipped with plenty of linens and fan power. You will be cozy either way the temps go. There is a lovely porch on the log home where you can sit and enjoy the sunset and lots of wildlife activity. The back yard has tether ball and lots of seating as well as the good sized fire pit with ghosts of hundreds of fireside chats gone by. I look forward to ours! Next door there is a gravel road on a lightly traveled road for your walking or biking pleasure. I am happy to join you in a hilly roller coaster cycling experience and have a few bikes to offer up. I am a WWOOF host and have occasional "helpers" and you are welcome to explore my veggie and flower gardens. This host loves board games and crafts so is often ready to share either or both with guests. There are 150 acres around me that are wooded and pathed so your pup will love it too. Arbor Camp began in 2022, when three friends came together to build a quiet place in the woods. Thirty acres along the Union River in Ellsworth offered the space—and the inspiration—for something lasting. We followed the path of an old roadbed to guide our layout, preserving as many trees as possible. Songbirds call from the canopy. Heron and eagles pass overhead. Deer move through the understory, and turkeys wander the clearings. Mushrooms—chanterelles, black trumpets, and others—rise through the forest floor in season. From the start, the idea was simple: to create a place that feels good to step into. *Please read full description before booking. Please be aware, this is rustic camping in the yard. This is not a campground or upscale facility. Welcome to Lilac Firefly! This is a residential 7 acre property in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We are right off the main road for easy access about 15-20 minutes south of Bangor. It is very peaceful and calm here. We live in the 5 bedroom older farmhouse where you can use the bathroom if needed. You will receive a code for the electronic door lock. There is a small stream and community fireplace by the 4 campsites and another fireplace closer to the garden. The designated campsites are at the rear of the property and are first come, first serve. A tent can be set up anywhere on the 7 acres and does not need to be in the designated campsite area. We have easily acomodated 20+ canpers at once (6-8 groups), though typically you might be the only group here. Car camping, van life, and RVs are welcome! There are some lightly wooded areas, apple trees, a pear tree, and an open field. We are pet friendly and there animals that live here that won't bother you. I also travel a lot as a DJ and audio tech and might not be here, but have a self check in process and video I will send. Roommates are generally here. Maine Savings Amphitheatre is 15 min away (concerts in Bangor). Acadia National Park is just over 1 hour away. Bangor and Bucksport are both about 15 min away. Fort Knox is about 20 min away. From the campsites, the road and house are not visible. We have flowers when in season, deer, turkey, birds, and friendly creatures that visit. Please be ready to be self sufficient and sustainable in any weather. Well water is available at the RV posts and passes all tests - pure and safe for drinking. RV parking may need to be arranged with myself. For RVs, Electric hook up is 30amp and an extra $10/day. Water hook up is $5/fill. Chopped, split, and dried wood (pine) is available included in your Hipcamp fee! You can burn what you need for the day/night. Thank you. Our camp is on the site of our former organic farm called Cabin Creek Farm overlooking the ocean (a tidal estuary called the pool), where we grew flowers, herbs and veggies. When you arrive at the big posts and posted signs keep driving through because you are almost there. Originally settled in the early 1800's with a few house's, barn's and an old one room schoolhouse. A few foundations are still visible along with a couple old dug wells and dumps with old bottles. We now own 365 acres that was named Texas Four Corners (no one knows why) in the middle of 1,600 undeveloped acres with the closest inhabited house from our property is over a half mile away. 15 Mile Stream runs thru the property. 16 miles to Common Ground Fair in Unity. 15 miles to Waterville and 28 miles to Belfast.

Its 108-acres feature historic cabins and 4000 feet of frontage on Cobbossee Stream in West Gardiner. The property’s coniferous and deciduous woods, vernal pools, and marshlands are important habitat for many species of birds, mammals, and plants. Part of an early 19th century farming community which faded into history well over a hundred years ago. Since then, it has been used exclusively for hunting, trapping and timber harvest. Other then a few scattered seasonal hunting camps, this is a privately owned uninhabited / undeveloped tract of land on the Eastern banks of the Seabasticook River watershed. Learn more about this land: Primitive Tent Camping within a mixed wood forest. Located ten miles East of Waterville, Maine or Six miles West of Unity, Maine. The Sebasticook Millennium Green is a terraced 207 acre forest with over 18 miles of trails. Vehicle access is via a seasonal town road with parking a short walk from campsites. There are four unimproved sites with picnic tables and fire rings that will only accommodate one tent. These sites are accessible with a regular vehicle and located a short distance from the marginally maintained (dirt) town road. We try to provide firewood for the sites when possible and campers are welcome to gather downed wood to use. There is a fifth site (ridge) that is a mile hike through the woods or accessible via 4wd vehicle, this site has room for four tents, has a large firepit, three picnic tables and an outhouse.

Great synchronicity led us to the wild 30 acres of marsh and woodland that is Turtle Marsh. In addition to making a home here, we dedicating the area as a sanctuary for the quiet enjoyment of nature, eco-spiritual practices and healing. We are now recognized by the World Wildlife Fund as a Certified Wildlife Habitat. We have trails on the property that are designed for contemplative walks, along with several benches where you can sit in quiet enjoyment, undisturbed by human intrusions. There are several trailheads for the Hills to Sea Trail within a mile of our property. The quintessential New England waterfront town of Belfast on Penobscot Bay, is less than 30 minutes away. One of our favorite spots for quiet hikes along the shore of the bay, is Sears Island. It is one of the largest undeveloped islands on the east coast, that is connected to the mainland by a causeway. The island is 50 minutes away and even on the busiest summer days, its's usually possible to find a quiet spot on the shore to sit and reflect. As we continue to deepen our relationship with this land, we are trying to follow the principles of Deep Ecology in all of our interactions. Our tentsites, while only a 5 minute walk from the road, have been sited to offer as much solitude as possible, with minimal disruption to the surroundings. For 2025 we are opening a new site. It is a little more secluded, 2-3 minutes further from the road in a very quiet wooded niche, at the edge of the marsh. It is also a little smaller tent (10' diameter) situated on a platform, and a little more "camping" than "glamping". We are pricing the stay there according. In spite of being nestled in the woods, no trees were cut to prepare these relatively accessible sites. We believe that they still offer a very tangible sense of wildness and solitude. Turn your time away into a transformative and healing experience, as you connect more deeply to the natural world. We hope that you will enjoy the experience of Turtle Marsh as much as we do.

Plan to visit our farm store where you can buy goat-milk soap, beeswax candles, organic wool pillows, sheep and goat skins and other creations made by Patti. Loads of hiking trails are right out our door or wander down the gravel road. Visiting the animals (sheep, chickens and, of course, Denali - the farm hound) is always a highlight for guests. Please leave your own dog at home, thank you. Chris is a proud Mainer and natural tour guide. He will be happy to provide you with his favorite recommendations and hidden gems. WELCOME to Happy Hippie Lane Maine! Get your "groove" on or hang loose here on a precious little island with a big bridge just off route one in the heart of Midcoast. There's a strong chance on an average Maine clear summer evening, I have the campfire going and the solar lights around the yard are charged for their evening gentle show. All of the spaces I rent are bedrooms only. You walk a few steps/yards to my 5 bedroom home and access two showers and some kitchen use. I also have an outdoor shower and outdoor kitchen that is cute and for your use. It's fun to cook on the fire too! I prefer folks to limit cooking esp in hot weather but support healthier eating and may share some of my foraging tips. The rooms are equipped with plenty of linens and fan power. You will be cozy either way the temps go. There is a lovely porch on the log home where you can sit and enjoy the sunset and lots of wildlife activity. The back yard has tether ball and lots of seating as well as the good sized fire pit with ghosts of hundreds of fireside chats gone by. I look forward to ours! Next door there is a gravel road on a lightly traveled road for your walking or biking pleasure. I am happy to join you in a hilly roller coaster cycling experience and have a few bikes to offer up. I am a WWOOF host and have occasional "helpers" and you are welcome to explore my veggie and flower gardens. This host loves board games and crafts so is often ready to share either or both with guests. There are 150 acres around me that are wooded and pathed so your pup will love it too. This is a residential 7 acre property in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We are right off the main road for easy access about 15-20 minutes south of Bangor. It is very peaceful and calm here. We live in the 5 bedroom older farmhouse where you can use the bathroom if needed. You will receive a code for the electronic door lock. There is a small stream and community fireplace by the 4 campsites and another fireplace closer to the garden. The designated campsites are at the rear of the property and are first come, first serve. A tent can be set up anywhere on the 7 acres and does not need to be in the designated campsite area. We have easily acomodated 20+ canpers at once (6-8 groups), though typically you might be the only group here. Car camping, van life, and RVs are welcome! There are some lightly wooded areas, apple trees, a pear tree, and an open field. We are pet friendly and there animals that live here that won't bother you. I also travel a lot as a DJ and audio tech and might not be here, but have a self check in process and video I will send. Roommates are generally here. Maine Savings Amphitheatre is 15 min away (concerts in Bangor). Acadia National Park is just over 1 hour away. Bangor and Bucksport are both about 15 min away. Fort Knox is about 20 min away. From the campsites, the road and house are not visible. We have flowers when in season, deer, turkey, birds, and friendly creatures that visit. Please be ready to be self sufficient and sustainable in any weather. Well water is available at the RV posts and passes all tests - pure and safe for drinking. RV parking may need to be arranged with myself. For RVs, Electric hook up is 30amp and an extra $10/day. Water hook up is $5/fill. Chopped, split, and dried wood (pine) is available included in your Hipcamp fee! You can burn what you need for the day/night. Thank you. Part of an early 19th century farming community which faded into history well over a hundred years ago. Since then, it has been used exclusively for hunting, trapping and timber harvest. Other then a few scattered seasonal hunting camps, this is a privately owned uninhabited / undeveloped tract of land on the Eastern banks of the Seabasticook River watershed. Learn more about this land: Primitive Tent Camping within a mixed wood forest. Located ten miles East of Waterville, Maine or Six miles West of Unity, Maine. The Sebasticook Millennium Green is a terraced 207 acre forest with over 18 miles of trails. Vehicle access is via a seasonal town road with parking a short walk from campsites. There are four unimproved sites with picnic tables and fire rings that will only accommodate one tent. These sites are accessible with a regular vehicle and located a short distance from the marginally maintained (dirt) town road. We try to provide firewood for the sites when possible and campers are welcome to gather downed wood to use. There is a fifth site (ridge) that is a mile hike through the woods or accessible via 4wd vehicle, this site has room for four tents, has a large firepit, three picnic tables and an outhouse.

Great synchronicity led us to the wild 30 acres of marsh and woodland that is Turtle Marsh. In addition to making a home here, we dedicating the area as a sanctuary for the quiet enjoyment of nature, eco-spiritual practices and healing. We are now recognized by the World Wildlife Fund as a Certified Wildlife Habitat. We have trails on the property that are designed for contemplative walks, along with several benches where you can sit in quiet enjoyment, undisturbed by human intrusions. There are several trailheads for the Hills to Sea Trail within a mile of our property. The quintessential New England waterfront town of Belfast on Penobscot Bay, is less than 30 minutes away. One of our favorite spots for quiet hikes along the shore of the bay, is Sears Island. It is one of the largest undeveloped islands on the east coast, that is connected to the mainland by a causeway. The island is 50 minutes away and even on the busiest summer days, its's usually possible to find a quiet spot on the shore to sit and reflect. As we continue to deepen our relationship with this land, we are trying to follow the principles of Deep Ecology in all of our interactions. Our tentsites, while only a 5 minute walk from the road, have been sited to offer as much solitude as possible, with minimal disruption to the surroundings. For 2025 we are opening a new site. It is a little more secluded, 2-3 minutes further from the road in a very quiet wooded niche, at the edge of the marsh. It is also a little smaller tent (10' diameter) situated on a platform, and a little more "camping" than "glamping". We are pricing the stay there according. In spite of being nestled in the woods, no trees were cut to prepare these relatively accessible sites. We believe that they still offer a very tangible sense of wildness and solitude. Turn your time away into a transformative and healing experience, as you connect more deeply to the natural world. We hope that you will enjoy the experience of Turtle Marsh as much as we do.

Part of an early 19th century farming community which faded into history well over a hundred years ago. Since then, it has been used exclusively for hunting, trapping and timber harvest. Other then a few scattered seasonal hunting camps, this is a privately owned uninhabited / undeveloped tract of land on the Eastern banks of the Seabasticook River watershed. Learn more about this land: Primitive Tent Camping within a mixed wood forest. Located ten miles East of Waterville, Maine or Six miles West of Unity, Maine. The Sebasticook Millennium Green is a terraced 207 acre forest with over 18 miles of trails. Vehicle access is via a seasonal town road with parking a short walk from campsites. There are four unimproved sites with picnic tables and fire rings that will only accommodate one tent. These sites are accessible with a regular vehicle and located a short distance from the marginally maintained (dirt) town road. We try to provide firewood for the sites when possible and campers are welcome to gather downed wood to use. There is a fifth site (ridge) that is a mile hike through the woods or accessible via 4wd vehicle, this site has room for four tents, has a large firepit, three picnic tables and an outhouse.

This spot was nice and felt secluded and it's in a great location making it easy to access the coast and Bangor. I met a man out there "Tipping" for wreaths which apparently is done after the 3rd frost? It was cool to get a brief run down about it. I would definitley recommend Bruce camps. I stayed at the "Greedo" and it was a short walk in because I have an HRV and not enough clearence but I'd say its about 100' down a slight grade to the tent site.

Wouldn’t feel comfortable in windy weather just due to the shallow rooted trees- but it’s a beautiful spot! Reminded me of camping on the Olympic peninsula.

Really unique and amazing stay, can't recommend this place enough! Learned about three medicinal mushrooms that grow on the property through the walks with Peter and Willie. Some neat evidence of beaver activity was spotted as well. You can hear barn owls in the evening. If you did get any rain or wind while there it's rather pleasant. Was nice to know if you do need anything the cabin and Peter were a short walk away. I even got Peters book which I can't wait to read!

I slept in my tent near the apple tree with the large green apples and the deer were right outside my tent all night and everytime an apple hit the ground they would grunt and prance in excitement and I could hear them crunching down on the apples all night. Learn more about this land: Enjoy our waterfront tenting site! Beautiful views to the tidal Medomak river and broad cove. Clamming and boat access. You can expect to use a composting outhouse during your stay as well as access to water from a hose. The camp site is a short walk from the parking area and you will walk past our house when getting to the site. It is about a 500 ft walk. This is not car camping so if you can’t haul your gear a little ways this may not be a good fit. We will provide info for the abundance of trails, breweries and restaurants that the area offers.

Gorgeous, peaceful, wild and barn animals, all the Maine scenery, dog friendly- but no power or water (Porto potty is adorable though), mosquitoes, Glamping in barn may involve chipmunks. I’m so excited to share the experience of staying on a rural Maine island. On our generational 1860s saltwater farm, you’re surrounded by all the scenery, wildlife, and serenity Maine is known for- old stone walls in the field, pine forest trails, the rocky coastline and private beach. This is a rustic but comfortable stay. **There is no power or water** but for your comfort you’ll find: -Comfortable Queen bed, with mosquito netting and all linens included. Everything, including the comforter, is changed for every stay, so you can just flop on the bed and relax like you’re at home. -Towels and beach blankets provided. -There is an immaculate Porto Potty (only for your use) and hand washing sink with soap located next to the barn, well lit for access at night, **currently no shower (may be adding one for 2026/27 will update reserved guests if so )** -Charcoal grill- lighter fluid and charcoal provided -Small propane camp stove- propane included -Charging station for your phone -Lanterns, flashlights, solar lights -2 gallons of drinking water, -Basic cooking items, plates and utensils, -Cooler for storage provided (please bring your own ice). ***Please note the closest grocery store is in Wiscasset, 15 minutes away. Sunflower Ranch is the name of our home and property. Not only is our cozy, modest house sunflower yellow but in August it is surrounded with sunflowers of all sizes. We share our property with a flock of sweet hens and ducks.....and a few bossy roosters. Eggs are available for purchase if needed. There is a little greenhouse with herbs, greens and strawberries. The field is also an apple orchard that mostly feeds the wildlife. The tent site is privately placed in our cove unseen from the house. We wanted to offer a site that we would enjoy as well and feels like it is in a world of its own. We spend all of our free time outside, camping and paddling the local rivers and lakes. Tommy and I can recommend many beautiful remote Maine adventures for you to experience that are located off the grid and away from all other humans. The sweet city of Ellsworth is only 7 miles away for all of your provisions and Otis General Store is 1 mile away.. they have everything to get you through plus beer, wine, ice and homemade pizza. We can give you a pass to visit the Beech Hill Pond Beach also only 1 mile away (I walk there all the time) which has clear water and a sandy bottom. Great spot to spend the day sunbathing and swimming. I can offer yoga, personal training, boxing and paddleboard lessons or SUP yoga for some onsite physical fitness fun upon request. Learn more about this land: 16 by 12 ft A-Frame on a platform overlooking our private cove on Graham Lake.  Walk through the forest trail to the Beech Hill Pond Stream and find a private little swim spot under a mini waterfall . Great fishing, loon watching, eagles and herons. Enjoy paddling and exploring right from your tent site. Bird watching bliss! Very peaceful and quiet. Canoe or 2 kayaks included.

Located just 3 miles from Unity & 20 minutes from coastal Belfast, Maine, these Yurt style tents are overlooking 5 acre Wolph Pond nestled in the woods in Amish country. Yurts are furnished & linens are all included. Each individual yurt has its own solar shower just outside. Non-potable water, eco-friendly soaps and shampoo are provided at no charge. The bathroom consists of a clean “two holer” for those of you more comfortable with one another, outhouse, toilet paper provided. It’s a 5 minute walk to Wolph Pond where you’ll find some of the best Large Mouth Bass fishing in Maine. You’ll also catch Crappie, Bluegill and Sunfish if you prefer. We only allow catch & release fishing & ask that you bend the barbs on the fish hooks for the safety of the fish. Feel free to enjoy a paddle in one of our complimentary canoes or get in a leg workout with a paddle boat. Life vests are provided & must be worn at all times if you’re in one of the boats. Inquire about fishing gear rentals if you don’t have any or forgot to bring it. Ample parking provided & solar lights will guide you to your yurt. There are three units in total so if there are other guests occupying other units please be respectful and courteous.
