7 nights at Turtle Marsh- secluded wooded site.
Really unique and amazing stay, can't recommend this place enough! Learned about three medicinal mushrooms that grow on the property through the walks with Peter and Willie. Some neat evidence of beaver activity was spotted as well. You can hear barn owls in the evening. If you did get any rain or wind while there it's rather pleasant. Was nice to know if you do need anything the cabin and Peter were a short walk away. I even got Peters book which I can't wait to read!

Weekend Trip to Turtle Marsh- secluded wooded site.
Due to impending weather, we had to change our plans and make a last minute booking. The site was perfect for us. The property is beautiful with a network of small trails crisscrossing it. The site is peaceful and private, and even during a significant downpour we were able to stay dry in the canvas bell tent.
Peter is everything you could want in a host. He went out of way to be helpful, he's friendly, genuine, and responsive to communication, while still respecting his guests space and privacy. Plus his dog is the best!
We would highly recommend staying here.

Weekend Trip to Boomtown Rustic Camp
This place is awesome! Super comfortable tent and bed with all of the thoughtful touches, screened in tent for eating, great fire pit spot, amazingly well stocked cooking & dishwashing station. Hosts are wonderful - friendly and helpful. I wish I could’ve stayed for a week!

We loved camping on Mark and Bonnie’s land. It was the perfect getaway! Everything was so organized and all the cooking ware was labeled, which made it super easy to find things. Our pups enjoyed running the trails and exploring. We are definitely planning to come back!

Weekend Trip to Boomtown Rustic Camp
I loved staying on Laurie and Dana’s land! Laurie is truly a warm and welcoming host. She goes out of her way to ensure guests arrive safe and prepared. Fern Side is stocked from towels to Tylenol, Laurie truly makes sure you have it all. My guest and I made sure to take advantage of the hot shower after the long day outside. We are looking forward to coming back to Boomtown Camps again for our 3rd stay!

2 nights at Shaky Barn Farm
My partner and I had an absolutely amazing time staying at this campsite. All the little touches are so thought out and they really provided everything we could think we need. 100% recommend the flower bouquet because they’re beautiful and now we get to hang and dry them to keep 🙂 the lower field was fun to sunbathe and relax in and has an extra fire pit with a picnic table if you wanted to make lunch or something in the field. We thought we would be eaten alive by bugs but that wasn’t the case at all, however we did bring several citronella candles( in addition to what they supplied) so that probably helped. Cell service was a lot better than expected as well! Highly recommend going to nezinscot farm while you’re here as well. We will absolutely come back to this campsite as much as we’re able to. We loved it so much last year, we came back! A year later everything we loved is the same, and better. Bonnie and Mark are such a great couple - hospitable and responsive. They gave us the space we desired this trip. The camp really is a little gem perched on a hill in the forest, with all the amenities you need for a comfortable, peaceful, and fun stay! The bed in the tent is really comfortable, and the solar powered fan came in handy on a muggy night, before the breeze blew it out for picture perfect weather. The camp is shady on a hot day, yet the sun trickles through the trees beautifully. A huge bonus is the large sunny field you have to yourself for playing lawn games. The kitchen canopy offered everything you need to prepare a full meal, although we opted to use the fire pit area with optional cooking screen to cook most of our meals - a great way to slow down. We love the fragrant carpet of dried pine needles to go from space to space - it really is an experience to remember and we vow to add more days on next time. And be sure to treat yourself to a bouquet of flowers - I am enjoying camp memories here back at home. Don't hesitate to hit the BOOK NOW button - you will be happy with staying at Bonnie and Mark's!

Weekend Trip to Boomtown Rustic Camp
We arrived late in the evening, road-weary and uncertain, and were instantly welcomed like old friends by Laurie at Boomtown Rustic Camp. Her kindness and warmth were the perfect antidote to a long travel day. The tent she had prepared for us was absolutely beautiful—thoughtfully set up with all the creature comforts, cozy and inviting, and surrounded by the peaceful charm of her property.
To top it all off, her sweet husband had a fire already built and crackling when we arrived—such a simple gesture, but it meant the world to us. The care and love they’ve poured into this place is palpable, and though we wished we could’ve stayed longer, a long drive called us away far too soon.
This is the kind of stay that lingers in your memory—comforting, genuine, and touched by the generosity of two wonderful people. Thank you, Laurie, for turning a simple overnight into something truly special.

This was such an amazing place to stay! It is very private and very spacious, which was perfect for me and my dogs. It allowed us to enjoy the space without being right next to others, which sometimes makes my dogs a bit anxious. There were a lot of storms while we were there but the site has lots of trees so we stayed fairly dry and there is also a screen house where we could go to hang out while it was raining or to get away from bugs for a bit. The hosts were so nice and very responsive, and have really added so much to this site to make it feel like a home away from home. I can’t wait to come back again and I highly recommend to anybody who is staying in the area.

3 nights at Boomtown Rustic Camp
This was my second time here at Boomtown and I loved it even more than the first time! Laurie and her husband Dana are so sweet and have put so much time, thought, and love into this place to make it so special. Laurie thought of everything that would make someone’s stay here more comfortable and welcoming, so much so that I could have left much more stuff at home! There’s also so much cool stuff to do right on the property, from the lawn games, trails to roam and a wicked awesome pond area with a beautiful view of the mountains, that it was hard to not want to forgo exploring the area and just staying right there! Do yourself a favor and book a stay in one of the glamping tents or a spot in the field for your own camping equipment, because you will not be disappointed.

This site was fantastic! Aside from being quite aesthetically pleasing, the site was set up very well. We appreciated the convenience of the electricity, large bug-free spaces, and the thoughtfully set up kitchen area. I would recommend the flower bouquet option - it was gorgeous!

Weekend Trip to Turtle Marsh- secluded wooded site.
Turtle Marsh hipcamp is exactly as pictured, serene and beautiful, nestled in the woods. I particularly enjoyed falling asleep to the frog song from the marsh!
I stayed here after a concert at the Waterville Opera House and found it very easy. Peter has very thoughtfully placed reflectors on several trees for those arriving at night. And while it rained during my stay, the bell tent kept me dry as a bone. What a luxury!!!

We had an amazing time camping over Memorial Day weekend. Peter was very nice and his dog Willie is so cute. It’s the perfect place to get away and enjoy nature. The birds sound really beautiful during the day and the stars are so bright at night! It’s very cozy and I highly recommend going
