There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure. Virginia lake is in the White Mountain National forest and is only 6 miles (n a ten minute drive away) Sometimes you have to hike in a bit to get to the beach. Shallow beach is great for children and dogs. Keewayden Lake Dam is a fun place to swim in a local lake. It started years ago my sister and I stayed in a yurt at a campground in Oregon. That was it. I was hooked so I got one. There is something magical about staying in a round structure in the trees. My love of nature and comfort drove me to create this special place to be able to share it with others. My TreeYurt is a platform built high in the trees so it essentially like a treehouse but with a yurt instead. It is located in the back part of my property surrounded by woods. In the spring there is a small stream running nearby. The land is somewhat sloped yet comfortable. There are apple orchards nearby and many hiking trails a short distance away as well as Portland a mere 15 minutes. The kitchenette has a small fridge a toaster oven a coffee maker a cook top with two burners pots pans utensils plates and bowls and kitchen towels as well a propane grill outside. There is a wood stove for heating in the winter as well as a monitor heater that makes it very cozy for chilly nights. The yurt is insulated so it is a great year round glamping (glorified camping) adventure. I provide fire some wood for the wood stove inside but the camp fire wood for the outdoor fire pit is $5 per bundle. The outhouse has a dry flush toilet and instructions at located in the yurt and out house. There is seasonal running water (May through October) for the outdoor sink which is available for use for dishwashing and a bit of cleaning up. Also an outdoor shower is available for use May through October and biodegradable soaps and shampoo are provided. I provide gallons of drinking water and dishwashing water for the colder months inside the yurt with dish tubs sponges and soap.

Welcome to The Field of Faith on Lodge Hill, located in the Western lakes and mountains region of Maine. We are a family run business out in the country on a secluded 10-acre lush field. The area is surrounded by lakes, ponds, state preserves, as well as in-town luxuries. The camp site can accommodate up to 6 people and 3 tents. RV's 20 feet or less are also welcome. The site is privately nestled at the back edge of the acreage and is accessible by vehicle. Included is a 16x12 tent platform, off grid solar lights, fire ring, Weber charcoal grill, solar shower, picnic table and a countertop table for preparing food, etc. The site is also equipped with 10 gallons of potable water from a gravity fed spigot. There is a newly built outhouse, and registered campers may enjoy the string lit patio and barn. The post & beam barn is useful for those rainy days with its farm style tables, rocking chairs, coffee maker, toaster oven, hot plate and guest refrigerator. Available for purchase are items such as ice, firewood, farm-fresh eggs, water, drinks, ice cream and baked goods. Corn-hole and other lawn games are also available for your enjoyment. If you're looking to hang your hammock and forget about the world or have a place that is close-by with lots to do.... Field of Faith on Lodge Hill is truly the best of both worlds.

The cabin was built for me to steal away from the house and enjoy the wildlife, quiet, stars and silence. It is too peaceful to keep to myself so come and enjoy all that Norway Maine and the surrounding area has to offer! Learn more about this land: Welcome to Lulu's. Where you can get a little crazy under the moon or you can take in the peace and serenity of the stillness in the woods. Depends on what you are looking for! No neighbors to infringe on your ideal get away. The large cabin has a welcoming front porch to enjoy the amazing sunrises over Streaked Mtn. 100 acres of privacy to hike, watch wildlife and just relax. Cabin has outside facilities. Off the grid-no electric or running water. Cell service is adequate. 1 gallon of fresh well water provided for drinking and 10 gallons for washing/cooking. Bring your own linens for a queen size bed, twin bunk beds and a full pull out couch. 2 pillows are supplied with a pillow protective cover and pillow case which are washed after each guest. Pots, pans and utensils, are onsite which are washed between campers; trash bags, compost bags, paper towels, dish soap, dish towels and a 2 burner propane stove(green canisters needed) and an older propane table top grill are provided. Camp fire grill on site if you prefer cooking over open flame. There are some battery operated light switches and solar lights in the camp and outhouse. We had the best time at Lisa's cabin. The cabin was super comfortable and accomodating. It had a everything we need for our stay, from plenty of kitchen supplies to extra blankets. The outhouse was also very clean and just a short walk from the cabin. We also enjoyed the walk down to the river. This spot really has it all. We will be back!

Mark greeted us immediately when we arrived and was incredibly friendly and helpful. The cabin is clean and cozy. The composting outhouse was one of the nicest I've ever seen! Relaxing by the firepit on a chilly morning was wonderful. Could not have asked for a better stay.

We had an amazing girls trip night in the yurt! Nicole was so helpful and responsive and the property was stunning. We met 2 of their super friendly dogs, one of whom accompanied us on a walk down to the brook! The yurt was incredibly cozy and we were lucky enough to get to see the first snow that night. We look forward to returning to the yurt again sometime!

I loved camping on Lori's land. All the glamping tents are very private, and you have to walk about 100 yards from the car, so there is no noise at all. The outhouse was super clean and so cool inside. The bed in the tent was very comfortable and had enough room for the dog as well. The land is beautiful with North Conway only a 30 min drive for great food and coffee! I highly recommend this Hip Camp!

We had a fantastic stay in Billy's camper last weekend when we were in the area to bike at Highland. We enjoyed it so much we're going back next week! His property is private with beautiful Mountain View's and the camper was spotless with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. He was an amazing host, even dropping off wood so we could make a fire in the evening. It felt more like a relaxing getaway than staying in a hotel like we usually do, and the camper had plenty of space for several adults to stay comfortably. He isn't kidding that you need four wheel drive to get up the steep driveway - but the views are worth it!

We loved our stay at Emerald Green Cabin. We have stayed at many off-the-grid cabins, and this was one of our favorites. Very clean and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the ease of the kitchen set-up with the propane stove. The woodstove kept us plenty warm during the cold nights. Apart from some of the places we've stayed, you could notice the care and thought put into the design, build, and furnishment of the cabin. The path down to the river was fun and well-marked, though the water level was a little low due to the drought...as we expected. Lisa was an excellent host, responsive without being intrusive. We highly recommend the Emerald Green Cabin.

Billy is a great host! He's bought a beautiful plot of land and is developing it himself, and in the mean time has created a few sites for folks of the hipcamp persuasion. We stayed in the camper, it was super comfortable, and Billy was very responsive and helpful to make sure we had a great stay. I'd highly recommend. Only note would be that when you enter the property, it kind of looks like you're driving into a construction site, Billy's driveway goes straight up hill and the address marker is a small plaque on the road. You're in the right place, and if you have trouble finding it just give Billy a call. 10 min from Tilton, Tilt'N Diner is right there, plus a walgreens and anything else you may need. Great spot, we'll be back for sure!

Amazing stay overall!! Ken and Jen were very communicative and so kind when we arrived. Instantly made us feel welcomed, and their camper was adorable and kept us very cozy/warm even though it was in the 40s at night. Also, the shower was so nice to have access to after a long day of camping/hiking. Highly recommend! We already said we cant wait to visit again.
