Crooked Run Adirondack
We love Tentrrs for when we just want to throw the camping bag in the car and not worry about setting everything up. Glad to see them popping up on HipCamp since Tentrr folded. This was a nice site next to the water that had the normal conveniences. It was very private and quiet. Judith was friendly and courteous. I do think the listing needs updating and could use some further descriptions. It should be noted that the top bunk doesn’t exist anymore, nor does the mattress. It’s just a queen bed now, which was fine for my husband and I with our 8 year old, but it was surprising that the photo isn’t accurate. There’s also no linens provided, which would be fine either way, but should be noted. We didn’t bring them besides an emergency sleeping bag and we were very cold the first night because we used it to cover their mattress. There is a great propane heater provided, which we were thankful for. We were meeting friends locally so we were able to borrow blankets. We just would have packed a lot differently had we known this information.

Beautiful space for camping right next to a great stream. Our dog loved playing in the water. Easy to get to. You have to check out Over the Moon while you’re nearby.

So secluded and directions were very clear, glad I had a jeep as there’s quite a bit of mud getting in. The site had a shower, toilet, cooler of water for us. Right on the river, fields for the dog to run through, exactly what I was looking for.
