Anglers will delight in our 2,000 feet of brook frontage with trout by the state of Maine (fishing license required). We also have a stocked fish pond a short walk through the woods to Agape Acres for your viewing enjoyment or a picnic.( no fishing on this pond ). There are a number of GREAT small bass ponds in our area just minutes away! Also, disc golf and 3 local trails- STREAKED MOUNTAIN TRAIL, PACKARD TRAIL, and the LOWELL TRAIL are within a 10 minute drive.
******RV campers will appreciate our 50 amp and 30 amp service options. Best of all, access to all amenities is included with your reservation, allowing you to fully enjoy your stay. The OUTPOST SITE communal outdoor summer kitchen use provided free. This is one of those rare finds that you don’t want to leave. Our campsite was on a grassy knoll overlooking the river/lake and surrounded by acres of lawn. We could watch the water from our bed. Just beautiful. My husband enjoyed a chat with the owner and got some of the history of the place. Our dog was in doggy heaven.

From a spacious RV site, (or in our case, a full size school bus) to a tent site for the more adventurous, to a cozy cabin with many amenities to make your stay more comfortable. Orange Gate Sites is clean, has ready to burn firewood, sturdy fire pits that you can even cook your meals on, and clean outdoor toilets. We spent an amazing couple nights tenting out right next to the Androscoggin River at John's 3rd camp site. Our hosts were wonderfully welcoming and accommodating — when we arrived we found our canoe that we rented was already waiting for us by the river's edge. Which is truly a must if you visit here as there is plenty to explore offshore. If the water doesn't entice you, there are also over 12 miles of trails a rock throw from the site that you are able to explore. Because of the kindness and helpfulness of our hosts, the undeniably beautiful views of the river (add on the fall foliage as a major perk), as well as the ability to explore an amazing area, is why we have full intensions of coming back again.

Without hesitation, this is one of the top 2 sites we've ever stayed at. The tent sites were private, peaceful and well spaced looking out over the river. The porta-potties were spotless. A system of well marked hiking trails on the property elevates it to the next level.

Absolutely incredible! Would definitely book again. We got lucky enough to have the whole camp to ourselves. We brought the kayak down to the water (about a 5 min walk) and paddled around all afternoon. Little walking trails all around the property. Grill for cooking and plenty of fire wood although I did bring my own. Quiet but close enough to town. Super response host and beautiful land. Thank you for having us!

We had a great night on David's property. Their garden and field of sunflowers were beautiful and the site was very private and perfect for our group of four people and four dogs. They kindly tied their dog up so that it wouldn't venture over to our grumpy dogs. The tent sites were level and the perfect consistency for putting in stakes, the firewood was very dry and easy to access, and we bought a lemon blueberry sourdough and some jam at the farmstand that we enjoyed! The picnic table, which looked new, was very nice and the toilet is the nicest toilet I have ever seen camping and deserves a shout out of its own. David was also extremely responsive on the app and was very accommodating of our last minute reservation! We hiked up Singlepole Mountain to the quarry on our way out (about 15 mins away) and got a great view from only about a mile of hiking.

My wife and I had the best trip of the year staying at Art’s camp, he has put so much time and effort into ensuring that campers have everything they need. The property is so beautiful and the shower is great. We immediately connected, he is a good man and really cares about the people who come to camp there. He recommended several places to fish and eat while we were there as well as places to hike. All in all a really awesome experience for our first time with HipCamp.

If you haven't been here you are all missing out!! This is one of the BEST camp sites for tenting i have been to. Danyl and Alpha are absolutely WONDERFUL hosts too!! If you want privacy and have the real authentic feel of camping I would suggest this place! Depending on where you book on site, we had the View and could see not only Sugarloaf mountain but, the stars at night were absolutely breathtaking. The sky was so open with the landscape of mountains in the background. The camp has a series of little outlets to actually spread your stuff out so its doesnt feel cramped. The porta potty is super clean and the town is a half hour for all your needs! My partner and I will definitely be coming back as regulars and this is now one of my favorite places to camp! Book now!
