Porcupine Creek Rustic Camping sits in the middle of our 50 acre Tree Farm. Campsites sit at the edge of small open fields are are spaced to give you the feeling of having your own space. We currently have two camping sites a Tree House and Camping Tent. The camping-related structures on our property are built with wood harvested from our tree farm and milled on-site. Deer regularly visit, the birds are constant company and other critters roam. Accommodations include rest rooms, shower rooms (sites come with solar shower bags) fire pits and campfire wood. Weekend Trip to Applecroft

Great car camping site and awesome hosts, super friendly and welcoming, Shane made sure I had fire wood and recommended that I take a short walk down to the pond in the morning to catch the sunrise and it did not disappoint! Gorgeous! I was only there for one night for a quick solo camping trip to go visit the Dambo trolls in the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens also highly recommended going there during your stay!

Weekend Trip to Porcupine Creek Rustic Camping

We went tent camping on Jeff and Cathy's land. Jeff and Cathy were wonderful hosts. I mentioned that it was my wife's birthday gift and they went next level by decorating our picnic area with birthday decorations and a personalized card. They also gave our boys two painted pumpkins to bring home. I didn't know I'd find hospitality at a campground, but Jeff and Cathy delivered. All of the sites offer good privacy so you don't feel like you're stacked on top of another family. The bathhouse is kept super clean. This was our first overnight tent night with our children and it went spectaculary! Thank you Jeff and Cathy. We'll be back.

I only stayed one night, but it was absolutely terrific. The spot is beautiful, peaceful, and really well cared for. You can tell Leketa and Hillary put a lot of thought into the small touches — it made all the difference. I can’t wait to come back! My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this. The set up was perfect, Jeff and Cathy have gone above and beyond with making sure their guests feel comfortable and enjoy their stay. We stayed in the Owls Nest, it was super cozy. There was a whole outdoor kitchen set up with all the kitchen supplies you need. They supplied fire wood, kindling and fire starter! They had jugs of water, a very nice clean bathroom set up. There is a lot of cute animals around too, we saw a few deer, and a porcupine with its baby! We were so impressed with Jeff and Cathy’s hospitality and can’t wait to come stay in the Owls Nest next season :)

Absolutely beautiful spot. Kyle was extremely friendly and made sure we had all we needed. We felt very comfortable here. The trees were in full fall colors and the lake is beautiful just a short walk down the trail. Glacial erratic boulders surround the site and make you feel like you’re in a park. You can’t really see any other homes in the area from the campsite. Spring fed crystal clear lake with beautiful islands on them. Kyle owner above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We plan to return one day. 9 minutes to a full service grocery store with beer, gas, firewood and delicious whoopie pies. If you forget something it’s just right down the road. Good cell service, just bring your own power banks and drinking water. Small portable toilet was handy and not too bad to use once you realize there’s nobody within view.

This was a lovely spot tucked back from the road with a beautiful walk to the pond nearby. Heard lots of coyotes and owls, which was awesome. Directions to the site were clear and easy to navigate. Will hopefully come back someday!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The cabin was cozy with everything we needed for cooking right on hand. Super easy to get to, which made the trip more relaxing. The location was prime, about 100 yards of waterfront to enjoy, with sunny mornings and shady afternoons that were perfect for hanging out. Our two dogs had the best time. We’d absolutely come back!

Jeff & Cathy are kind and lovely hosts. Their campground is wonderful. It has everything you could want and need at a campground. It was awesome to catch up, hike, and cook with one of my childhood friends in rural Maine without having to worry about setting up camp. I’ll take staying at this campsite over staying at a hotel/motel or a large campground. I’ll definitely be back.

We loved tenting here! Our site was private and serene. Porta potty is very clean and a short walk from the sites. We loved spending time on the pond and being woken up by the loon calls. As other reviewers have mentioned, the doughnuts are amazing!
