Porcupine Creek Rustic Camping sits in the middle of our 50 acre Tree Farm. Campsites sit at the edge of small open fields are are spaced to give you the feeling of having your own space. We currently have two camping sites a Tree House and Camping Tent. The camping-related structures on our property are built with wood harvested from our tree farm and milled on-site. Deer regularly visit, the birds are constant company and other critters roam.
Accommodations include rest rooms, shower rooms (sites come with solar shower bags) fire pits and campfire wood.

I can’t say enough great things about this spot! My dog and I stayed for two and a half months and easily could have stayed twice as long.
-The location is perfect — tucked in a residential area that offers plenty of privacy and peace, yet surrounded by friendly neighbors so it never feels isolated. You’re close to everything: most Acadia trails on Mount Desert Island are within a 25-minute drive, with many even closer (10-15 minutes). Bar Harbor is just 10 minutes away, offering great restaurants, shops, boat tours, and more.
-The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable — I work remotely full-time from my rig and never had a single issue, even with constant Zoom and Teams video meetings.
-Scott, the host, is fantastic — friendly, responsive, and genuinely welcoming, with excellent local recommendations.
-It’s also a dog-friendly spot. There’s plenty of grassy space for short walks, and the lawn was mowed weekly, which I really appreciated.
-The full hookups were in excellent condition and worked perfectly. There’s even a garden hose attached to the water line for convenience.
-Parking was a breeze — the site is spacious and easy to maneuver into no matter the size of your rig. I live in a 30-foot Airstream and had no trouble backing in at all.
Overall, this was one of my favorite stays — private, convenient, well-maintained, and hosted by someone who truly cares. Highly recommend!

This was a beautiful campground — a stunning field with a cozy corner cove to set up shop for the night. Hannah was friendly and accommodating with a last-minute reservation, and she kindly provided some amenities to help with my stay.

What a great spot! Down off a gravel road, with minimal traffic. There is a house you can barely see through the trees, but plenty of privacy. The hosts were great - good communication and even left us a goodie bag with some sweet treats and a deck of cards! (They even left us a couple of milkbones for our pups!) Would absolutely recommend!

Hillside Campsite South is incredibly convenient for anyone wanting access to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor! There are two sites next to each other that are spacious and level with easy access in and out. The host Scott is very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. The site itself is actually part of a hotel in Bar Harbor, so you have access to the laundry facilities and pool at the hotel. Some folks may not like that the water pressure can vary (not sure if that's dependent on if the neighbors were using water, but there were times when the pressure would drop very low) and garbage needs to be taken to a dumpster about 5 minutes away (not a big deal). Otherwise, you can walk or bike into Hull's Cove on sidewalks and even access the Carriage roads of Acadia! Highly recommend this site!

This place is amazing. I decided to do a last-minute solo camping night with my dog, and was fortunate that this site was still available. It is set far back on the owner's property, so there is nothing but space, privacy, peace, and quiet. The property is also beautiful and well-kept. The description warns of gunshots and fireworks from neighbors, but any gunshots we heard sounded pretty far in the distance. It wasn't bad at all and my dog didn't seem bothered by it. All in all, it was a wonderful spot and I would definitely go back.

The drive in as well as the property itself is beautiful. It’s a little trail that goes behind their house up into a beautiful open field plenty of room to maneuver my teardrop camper. Beautiful fire pit, water station, and picnic table all set up and ready to enjoy.
