Our guests are welcome to kayak, canoe, swim, fish, and paddle board from the shores of The Queen’s Property, or one of 5 Right of Ways on Watkins Shores Road owned by our Association. Access to your private waterfront is a short stroll through our woods. Nearby places you will like: We are within walking distance to downtown restaurants and public swimming area on Long Lake. There's also porto potties next to the walkable country store, which has everything you forgot to bring. Also a great ice cream shack, and an above-average watering hole, The Olde Mill Tavern. The summer weather was great for camping. A large Bell Tent and a small portable camper was purchased for those who are seeking more of a glamping experience. This is one of those rare finds that you don’t want to leave. Our campsite was on a grassy knoll overlooking the river/lake and surrounded by acres of lawn. We could watch the water from our bed. Just beautiful. My husband enjoyed a chat with the owner and got some of the history of the place. Our dog was in doggy heaven.

This was a sweet place to stay. Krystal was a wonderful host and I enjoyed spending time around her horses and pups. The place was very close to lots of great hiking and a short way to Lincolnville Beach. I would definitely recommend!

Toad Hall was great! Amazing place to stay in the fall/winter. Cozy for 2 people with provided cots & camping chairs! The heater and shelter from the rain was great. Hearing the creek water at night was relaxing. Mike was so nice and communicative! Would definitely stay here again!

We spent an amazing couple nights tenting out right next to the Androscoggin River at John's 3rd camp site. Our hosts were wonderfully welcoming and accommodating — when we arrived we found our canoe that we rented was already waiting for us by the river's edge. Which is truly a must if you visit here as there is plenty to explore offshore. If the water doesn't entice you, there are also over 12 miles of trails a rock throw from the site that you are able to explore. Because of the kindness and helpfulness of our hosts, the undeniably beautiful views of the river (add on the fall foliage as a major perk), as well as the ability to explore an amazing area, is why we have full intensions of coming back again.

Beautiful private place with a 360 view of the mountains! Completely impressed by the stone picnic table! The turn is a bit hidden so drive very slowly — we reached the top of the mountain and had to turn around because we went too far. I think the sign is a little hidden within the bushes. Otherwise, such a lovely stay! Would return!

Without hesitation, this is one of the top 2 sites we've ever stayed at. The tent sites were private, peaceful and well spaced looking out over the river. The porta-potties were spotless. A system of well marked hiking trails on the property elevates it to the next level. John and his families' commitment, stewardship, and sharing of their land is exemplified by the experience you get when staying here.

Road leads to a lookout point. Lookout is a 1 mile hike from campsite.

Perfect campsite! Clean, level, easy parking and set-up. Full hook-ups easily accessible! Firepit, grill, picnic table with umbrella all right there ready to go! Very private secluded spot, with trails to walk and explore. Lake was just beautiful with nice dock and stairs making for easy water entry.
