Forty five years ago, our family started assembling 400 acres of woods and fields on the banks of the beautiful Androscoggin River. We enjoy actively managing the property for wildlife habitat and tree growth. The diverse landscape includes over 1/2 a mile of river frontage, a 10 acre wildlife pond, rolling hills in the meadows and steep forested terrain with more than 10 miles of multi-use trails running throughout. When you arrive at the big posts and posted signs keep driving through because you are almost there. Originally settled in the early 1800's with a few house's, barn's and an old one room schoolhouse. A few foundations are still visible along with a couple old dug wells and dumps with old bottles.
We now own 365 acres that was named Texas Four Corners (no one knows why) in the middle of 1,600 undeveloped acres with the closest inhabited house from our property is over a half mile away. 15 Mile Stream runs thru the property. 16 miles to Common Ground Fair in Unity. 15 miles to Waterville and 28 miles to Belfast.

Anglers will delight in our 2,000 feet of brook frontage with trout by the state of Maine (fishing license required). We also have a stocked fish pond a short walk through the woods to Agape Acres for your viewing enjoyment or a picnic.( no fishing on this pond ). There are a number of GREAT small bass ponds in our area just minutes away! Also, disc golf and 3 local trails- STREAKED MOUNTAIN TRAIL, PACKARD TRAIL, and the LOWELL TRAIL are within a 10 minute drive.
******RV campers will appreciate our 50 amp and 30 amp service options. Best of all, access to all amenities is included with your reservation, allowing you to fully enjoy your stay. The OUTPOST SITE communal outdoor summer kitchen use provided free. Walk in sites are separated well but share the fire pit and summer kitchen and sink and bathhouse-I recommend reserving BOTH SITES for total privacy

This is one of those rare finds that you don’t want to leave. Our campsite was on a grassy knoll overlooking the river/lake and surrounded by acres of lawn. We could watch the water from our bed. Just beautiful. My husband enjoyed a chat with the owner and got some of the history of the place. Our dog was in doggy heaven.

Great car camping site and awesome hosts, super friendly and welcoming, Shane made sure I had fire wood and recommended that I take a short walk down to the pond in the morning to catch the sunrise and it did not disappoint! Gorgeous! I was only there for one night for a quick solo camping trip to go visit the Dambo trolls in the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens also highly recommended going there during your stay!

We spent an amazing couple nights tenting out right next to the Androscoggin River at John's 3rd camp site. Our hosts were wonderfully welcoming and accommodating — when we arrived we found our canoe that we rented was already waiting for us by the river's edge. Which is truly a must if you visit here as there is plenty to explore offshore. If the water doesn't entice you, there are also over 12 miles of trails a rock throw from the site that you are able to explore. Because of the kindness and helpfulness of our hosts, the undeniably beautiful views of the river (add on the fall foliage as a major perk), as well as the ability to explore an amazing area, is why we have full intensions of coming back again.

Without hesitation, this is one of the top 2 sites we've ever stayed at. The tent sites were private, peaceful and well spaced looking out over the river. The porta-potties were spotless. A system of well marked hiking trails on the property elevates it to the next level.

This was a lovely spot tucked back from the road with a beautiful walk to the pond nearby. Heard lots of coyotes and owls, which was awesome. Directions to the site were clear and easy to navigate. Will hopefully come back someday!

We had a great night on David's property. Their garden and field of sunflowers were beautiful and the site was very private and perfect for our group of four people and four dogs. They kindly tied their dog up so that it wouldn't venture over to our grumpy dogs. The tent sites were level and the perfect consistency for putting in stakes, the firewood was very dry and easy to access, and we bought a lemon blueberry sourdough and some jam at the farmstand that we enjoyed! The picnic table, which looked new, was very nice and the toilet is the nicest toilet I have ever seen camping and deserves a shout out of its own. David was also extremely responsive on the app and was very accommodating of our last minute reservation! We hiked up Singlepole Mountain to the quarry on our way out (about 15 mins away) and got a great view from only about a mile of hiking.

My wife and I had the best trip of the year staying at Art’s camp, he has put so much time and effort into ensuring that campers have everything they need. The property is so beautiful and the shower is great. We immediately connected, he is a good man and really cares about the people who come to camp there. He recommended several places to fish and eat while we were there as well as places to hike. All in all a really awesome experience for our first time with HipCamp.
