We built this cabin recently with siblings and a few skilled friends to make a getaway place for the extended family. Just 2 miles off Rte. One our location is quiet and perfect for exploring the midcoast of Maine - a short drive to many favorite places! The cabin is built on property adjacent to our fruit farm which is slowly building up to full production with a kiwi orchard planted, ramps seeded, and a producing strawberry hoophouse for early ripening fruit. We move our horse and pony around to different fields during the warmer months, and keep pekin ducks (the white ones) (now all in retirement!). The farm is 78+ acres with logging roads and is located on a quiet road. Food markets and some good places to eat are within 6-7 miles. There is an outdoor shower, a nice outhouse, a campstove, oil lamps etc - so it's is very old fashion yet comfortable cabin stay! Bring your own towels and maybe some candles. Plenty of board games, and maps of our local hikes and places to explore. If you come in the fall you should know that the roof is insulated but the walls are not - so layer up, bring extra blankets, and hugging the woodstove might be necessary! You'll enjoy the screened porch in all kinds of weather.

In general, this is a delightful setting for swimming, floating, fishing, and paddling among the loons and other wildlife that this water body is home to. The campsite is a short drive to a number of terrific hiking trails that are part of the Georges Highland Path, a 70-mile network of trails, and the St. George River Canoe Trail. It’s also just 20 minutes to Camden Hills State Park and downtown Camden, and 18 minutes to Rockport or Rockland. We built this cabin recently with siblings and a few skilled friends to make a getaway place for the extended family. Just 2 miles off Rte. One our location is quiet and perfect for exploring the midcoast of Maine - a short drive to many favorite places! The cabin is built on property adjacent to our fruit farm which is slowly building up to full production with a kiwi orchard planted, ramps seeded, and a producing strawberry hoophouse for early ripening fruit. We move our horse and pony around to different fields during the warmer months, and keep pekin ducks (the white ones) (now all in retirement!). The farm is 78+ acres with logging roads and is located on a quiet road. Food markets and some good places to eat are within 6-7 miles. There is an outdoor shower, a nice outhouse, a campstove, oil lamps etc - so it's is very old fashion yet comfortable cabin stay! Bring your own towels and maybe some candles. Plenty of board games, and maps of our local hikes and places to explore. If you come in the fall you should know that the roof is insulated but the walls are not - so layer up, bring extra blankets, and hugging the woodstove might be necessary! You'll enjoy the screened porch in all kinds of weather.

We had a phenominal time during a little late season camping trip here. The land was stunning and provided awesome views of the stars at night; the stream made for great ambient sound, all around great area! Sean was super friendly and we even got to meet the goats! Short drive away from Norway and Bethel, would defintiely recommened if you're looking for a weekend getaway trip.

Visit our Remote cabin with all the comforts of home. Cook dinner on the fire pit and then relax and enjoy the warm glow of the lights and look at the stars.

Great car camping site and awesome hosts, super friendly and welcoming, Shane made sure I had fire wood and recommended that I take a short walk down to the pond in the morning to catch the sunrise and it did not disappoint! Gorgeous! I was only there for one night for a quick solo camping trip to go visit the Dambo trolls in the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens also highly recommended going there during your stay!

Weekend Trip to Cabin of the Woods at Tilden Pond

Robert's cabin at Tilden Pond is a wonderfully secluded get away spot with a beautiful woods walk (15mins) to the pond. We were happy about being able to park next to the cabin for easy unloading of gear. We liked making meals over a camp stove we brought and at the fire pit to calls of loons and owls. We brought our own tent but opted to stay in the cabin on the cots provided, which were comfortable with our sleeping pads and bags. Our dog loved having the woods to romp in unleashed. The sunset at the pond was a highlight. On a future trip we hope to take advantage of the double kayak. We saw others kayaking, sailing, and fishing off in the distance. Robert has done a good job repairing the road recently but it is important to have a truck or vehicle with good clearance to drive in. We loved having both Belfast and Camden only minutes away.

I loved Sandi and Brandon"s cabin! The land is beautiful and you feel miles away and secluded from everyone else. The cabin itself is very comfortable, clean and cozy. They thought of everything! The covered porch was great and we enjoyed our fires in the fire . The sheep came to visit and were peaceful to watch. I 100% recommend staying here. It's so relaxing!

Beautiful private place with a 360 view of the mountains! Completely impressed by the stone picnic table! The turn is a bit hidden so drive very slowly — we reached the top of the mountain and had to turn around because we went too far. I think the sign is a little hidden within the bushes. Otherwise, such a lovely stay! Would return!
