This is a residential 7 acre property in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We are right off the main road for easy access about 15-20 minutes south of Bangor. It is very peaceful and calm here. We live in the 5 bedroom older farmhouse where you can use the bathroom if needed. You will receive a code for the electronic door lock. There is a small stream and community fireplace by the 4 campsites and another fireplace closer to the garden. The designated campsites are at the rear of the property and are first come, first serve. A tent can be set up anywhere on the 7 acres and does not need to be in the designated campsite area. We have easily acomodated 20+ canpers at once (6-8 groups), though typically you might be the only group here. Car camping, van life, and RVs are welcome! There are some lightly wooded areas, apple trees, a pear tree, and an open field. We are pet friendly and there animals that live here that won't bother you. I also travel a lot as a DJ and audio tech and might not be here, but have a self check in process and video I will send. Roommates are generally here. Maine Savings Amphitheatre is 15 min away (concerts in Bangor). Acadia National Park is just over 1 hour away. Bangor and Bucksport are both about 15 min away. Fort Knox is about 20 min away. From the campsites, the road and house are not visible. We have flowers when in season, deer, turkey, birds, and friendly creatures that visit. Please be ready to be self sufficient and sustainable in any weather. Well water is available at the RV posts and passes all tests - pure and safe for drinking. RV parking may need to be arranged with myself. For RVs, Electric hook up is 30amp and an extra $10/day. Water hook up is $5/fill. Chopped, split, and dried wood (pine) is available included in your Hipcamp fee! You can burn what you need for the day/night. Thank you. Ellie's location allows easy access to both the Mount Desert Island section of Acadia and the Schoodic Peninsula section. Well behaved dogs/pets are allowed on the site for $7 per pet per night. If you would like to bring a pet, please add a pet fee which is listed as an extra during the booking process. All pets on site must be leashed at all times, no exceptions. Campfires are allowed on this site when winds are under 10 mph. Check local weather first. We continue to provide free, locally grown, organic firewood in order to combat inflation and help you stretch your vacation dollar. While Ellie's doesn't have direct water access, there are many shoreline points of access close by. Beaches and water access are everywhere. Wide open space does exist. Come explore the Maine coast. Commuter traffic can be seen and heard from Ellie's RV spot. State route 204 funnels park visitors to Acadia and the MDI area. In 2024 nearly 4 million people visited the Acadia area. Slow down, plan ahead and be patient. 2025 update: You can purchase your park pass online and print it before you arrive. Reservations for Cadillac Mountain are now required due to overcrowding. We have one security camera located on the main fence. This is for your protection as well as ours. For winter stays please send a request before booking. We have 30 or 50 amp electric and sewer only from Nov 1 ~ April 30. Water, wifi and trash removal are suspended for the winter. Snow might prevent access during some weeks. Request first!

Come relax on this private 5 acre waterfront escape. A long driveway will open up into a cleared lot. The end of the driveway is a large crushed gravel parking pad which should easily accommodate any RV or trailer (make sure you back in, there's no room to turn around). The pad is mostly flat, but minor leveling on RV's is probably still needed. Site overlooks Flanders Bay which feeds into Mount Desert Narrows. Watch the family of 5 eagles fly back and forth across the cove and bring binoculars to watch them as they perch in nearby trees. The cove is filled with a variety of seabirds and the occasional harbor seal. You will have complete quiet as you listen to the sounds of forest and coastal life.Property is located 11 miles from Schoodic Peninsula of Acadia National park and a quick 35 miles from Bar Harbor. Learn about the Gateway to Acadia: We now have water! A 300’ well and a hand pump make for some ice cold water onsite, It’s a little rusty in color but great for washing dishes and bathing. I had a nice stay here. The privy was clean and it's only 30-40 minute drive from Bangor. The sites are on a slight grade of a hill but it isn't that bad and they each have a fire ring and picnic table with a trash can.

We had the best time at this site. The views were absolutely incredible. We had better sunset views from the campsite than we even would in Acadia. Having the water, electric plug, and bathroom on site was so helpful, too. We ended up tent camping, but the little house was such an added perk, too for storage, spending time together, etc. I can’t recommend this spot enough!!

Evan is a very gracious host for sharing his space. My stay here was perfect. I slept in my tent near the apple tree with the large green apples and the deer were right outside my tent all night and everytime an apple hit the ground they would grunt and prance in excitement and I could hear them crunching down on the apples all night. It was cool to experience.

This truly is a private oasis. We did not see a single person when staying at Raphaele’s land! The view of the water was awesome, but with a quick hike through the mossy forest you’re down by the water for an even better view. We took our camper trailer, beware you do have to back in from the road with trailers, but it was worth it. We were able to watch harbor seals catching fish at high tide, and the birding is amazing with forest and ocean birds in the same view. The outdoor shower was great, and the sink was nice to wash dishes in. For our camper we had electricity and water. This is a really cool spot with great views and animal activity. I highly recommend if you like privacy and the great outdoors!

A great place to do nothing. But if you must do, there’s plenty to do. The privacy and expansive views are hard to beat. And — while maples and oaks get all of the attention in autumn — blueberry barren fall foliage is hard to beat. You’re surrounded by scarlet waves. The site itself has everything you need: porta potty, fire pit, picnic table, privacy. You’re about an hour and change outside of Acadia NP if you wanted to do a day trip. There are some nice trails on the quiet side by Long Pond. Closer to the site, the Barred Island Preserve trail is one of my favorites. Or grab a coffee at 44 North then head to Sand Beach in Stonington. Food, Drink, Etc: Tinder Hearth, 44 North Coffee, Bucklyn Coffee, Blue Hill Books, Blue Hill Wine Shoo, Blue Hill Co-Op, Brooklin Inn, Brooklin General Store, Pilgrim’s Inn, Roaring Lion, El El Frijoles. Overall would definitely recommend!

Weekend Trip to Piscataquis Point

Perfect place for couples, families, or friends to come together in a quiet and private camp on beautiful river spot. The fire pit with cook top were amazing and wood provided was more than enough for the cool October nights and mornings. The camp is impeccable kept up, the bathroom is cleanest and neatest we have seen yet and we even got a magnet. Very thoughtful! Kyle’s metal work and brothers engraving can be seen throughout the campground giving it the touches it needs to set it above the rest. We booked our next visit on our ride home. We cannot wait to return to watch the eagles frolic and looking to catch their next meal in the river. Kyle is very responsive to messages and directions were easy to follow.
