This was a beautiful little farm to camp for the night. It would also be perfect for someone to make it their base camp to get away from everything then go explore during the day.
We spoke with the sweet couple who own the farm when we arrived. They are amazing 💗.
We camped next to the barns which housed horses. They were quiet and friendly.
It’s a perfect spot if you want privacy away from a campground. It’s considered a single sight so you have all the privacy.
Keep in mind, you are on someone’s farm and pretty much in their back yard, and will hear roosters crowing in the morning. However, it is still a private space for you/your group. We still had a fire, stayed up late, and played music 😊

We loved staying at the rushing river rv site. Very clean, very spacious, kind hosts. Even though it isn’t secluded, it still felt private. The field and sunsets were beautiful, it was a great place to visit the red river gorge area from. Merle(?) the dog is definitely a character!

Great little spot in rural KY. Quiet, peaceful, and well-kept. Host Lola is kind and communicates clearly. Only a few spaces, so it stays calm and low-traffic. Would absolutely stay again.

Very nice and relaxing place, beautiful almost mountains and the hosts were fantastic. It felt very private but not alone. There are several houses on the property. So there were people if you needed them. Also an interesting little town. I will be going back with my wife for sure. Natural bridge is 15 miles away and town is 10 minutes but it doesn’t feel like it. The hookups are in great shape and the lot is easy to get in and out of. Best part was the neighborhood Labrador who was very playful and sweet. Didn’t catch his name, but he tried to steal my water bottle, then the chocks for my camper, and finally some of my firewood. Then he noticed I was cooking pork chops and became very well behaved. LOL. He had to come back for breakfast and say goodbye. Gassiest dog I’ve seen in a long time and well behaved.

This was the second time I had stayed at James’s Cabin. I absolutely love it and plan to come back in the future. It’s a beautiful place deep in the woods and I cannot recommend it enough.
