Our "glamper" is a 1960's retro camper that has been fully restored. The outside still looks very retro, but when you step inside you'll instantly surrender to the relaxation that awaits. With a large deck on the front you can take in the views of a nearby pond and a meandering creek which serves as a wildlife highway. My great-grandfather purchased this land in 1921 and since then, my family has been farming the best way that we knew how. Our customers drive from all parts of central Kansas to shop at Jako Farm because our food is different than food in the grocery store. We call it JakoPure food.Not only do we share our life-giving, gut-restoring food with others, but we want to share the experience of our farm, too. Bill and Nancy were so kind, you can tell how much work and care they put into their property over the last 40 years to make it a magical experience with an emphasis on kids and families in mind. I loved going down to the creek with the kids and looking for fossils(there is an abundance of unique fossils!) skipping rocks, and jumping across the stepping stones. Watching my son and his friend play so freely made me feel extremely nostalgic, we live in the suburbs and theres not as many opportunities to allow the kids to run around and have free reign the way they were able to on the farm. I got to talk to the owners for a while and hear some of their story, each and every facet of the property has a unique history and personal story behind it, you can feel the memories made in the space. Bill is a very handy craftsman and artist and he was behind many of the structures on the farm along with other creatives over the years. We brought our two small dogs and they did a great job keeping pets in mind with the design, we had a fenced yard that the dogs could stay in while we explored, unfortunately one of our kiddos left our gate open and one of our dogs got out later in the evening, I messaged the owners and they got up and found my dog! I was really worried because of how open the space was. Truly wonderful people, and a truly wonderful farm with many opportunities for family fun and interacting with nature. 10/10 would recommend.

The campground is well maintained and is beautiful. Dusk at Chad and Cindy’s place is wonderful with the last of the varied birdsongs singing, the running of the water in the river, and the occasional lowing cow somewhere off in another pasture. It’s the way the place relaxes me after a long day of driving that make it special to me. This last stay there was even a rain at night that helped lull me to sleep. We absolutely loved this campsite. Despite getting in late, the owners were incredibly kind and accommodating and the land is absolutely stunning. We woke to the peaceful sound of cows moving through a pasture and it was heavenly! Wish our roadtrip allowed us to stay longer and explore as much as this place deserves but so glad to have spent at least one night under the old cottonwood along the river! Thank you to the hosts!

This was my first Hipcamp experience and it couldn’t have been better! Beautiful scenery, so quiet and peaceful. Hosts were super responsive when I messaged for directions prior to arrival. If I come back this way, I will certainly be staying here again!

1 night at C2T Ranch on the Saline River
I loved my stay at the Kansas Sunflower tent! Chad and Cynthia were very welcoming and set up a cozy home away from home. It was very blustery and stormy with lightening the single night i was there, so didn’t build a fire. But the bed was quite cozy and i hunkered down for a good night’s rest. Felt very safe and secure. Wish i could have stayed longer to explore the trails on the ranch. The ranch and Kansas hills are beautiful.
If you are a meat eater, the burgers (from beef raised on the ranch) and brats (local food, too) were outstanding. Looking forward to trying the bread and jelly in the next day.
I had to leave early next day so grabbed breakfast at Pheasant Run Pancake House, a great breakfast spot in Hays.

I loved camping here, the amount of trees at this specific site added an element of privacy which I liked, and overall was very peaceful. I spoke with the hosts briefly and they were very nice! I’d love to come back here again in the future.

This campsite is one of the best in Kansas. The creek matched with the beautiful landscapes always provides an amazing time with family and friends. This is why we keep coming back here after year. I think this is our fourth year in a row of camping here. We absolutely love it and think everyone in this area should go! Chad and Cynthia are amazing hosts and have created a magical campground for everyone to enjoy!

The C2T Ranch was a wonderful camping experience. We were in an RV at Wanda's Place and met family who stayed in one of the glamping tents. We all really enjoyed ourselves. The campsites were spacious and peaceful. Our families enjoyed hiking, games and campfires, and, of course, the starry KS skies. All of the food offered by Cynthia was amazing, and Chad was always very friendly and helpful when we needed anything. We would love to come back.

Chad and Cynthia were responsive to messages and questions! There is a solar battery system in the bell tent that powers the lights and we used to charge our cell phones. The bed is really comfy! We just brought food, clothing, chairs, and basic cooking equipment. They brought us 5 gallons of drinking water in a cooler-type dispenser. We enjoyed the jelly we purchased as an add-on. The river had a lot of reeds in some parts and was more open in others. I bet it changes a lot throughout all the seasons. I saw 10 different wild flowers, turkey, deer, and dozens of kinds of birds. I've already booked my next visit.

This is my favorite place to stay when driving across Kansas. Fifteen minutes off I70 to a peaceful campground with widely spaced sites. My favorite sites are the ones that are along the Salida River with an awesome sight of a towering limestone wall rising out of the ground several hundred feet high. Get there to see a sunset when the light turns the limestone wall golden in color. The host, Chad, is a wonderful host who will take excellent care of you. Best fire rings in the Hipcamp catalogue. ❤️

My husband and I loved the farm! We enjoyed petting the goats and exploring the disc golf course. We loved being able to fish the pond right next to our campsite. The hosts were very nice and we can’t wait to come back!! Was the highlight of our 2 week camping trip, highly recommend.
