Close to mountain bike and dirt bike trails, a half dozen lakes, hiking trails, huckleberry and morel spots, but also a 30 minute drive to downtown CDA or Sandpoint for dining, drinks, nightlife, shopping and more. Get ready to unwind on our historical farm that feels a world away but is just a 10-minute drive to downtown! Our cozy Bell Tent glamping site is perched to take full advantage of breathtaking sunsets and moonrises, rolling fields, and wildlife, giving you a front-row seat to nature’s show. A 2-minute drive (or 15 min walk) up the road, you’ll find hiking trails for all skill levels. The same distance down the road is our favorite winery offering tastings and a delightful ambiance for an evening out. They often have live music and food, but they welcome you to bring a charcuterie board of your own. Upon arrival, you’ll see a sign to pull in to our temporary parking beside the upper garden. A short (250 ft) walk to the site and you can settle in your camp. The site is equipped with a basic outdoor kitchen with a potable sink (fed directly from our healthy well), propane camp stove and basic utensils. We ask that you keep food put away in coolers or plastic container to avoid attracting pests. The outhouse is just 35 feet from the site. Our site is designed with eco-friendliness in mind and the outhouse is equipped with a basic composting toilet. Please use wood shavings after each toilet use and dispose of all non compostable items in the provided garbage can on deck. In the tent, you’ll find a luxurious and firm queen size bed and compact tables for storing your items. We provide a power bank of electricity for those that need a c-pap (tested and true), or charging devices. Stay warm all night with our propane heater, down comforter and optional heated blanket. Up for exploring? Just stick to the mowed pathways and enjoy the different settings. A hammock waits in the shade of the cherry plum tree at the bottom of the property. The old homestead site is a nice loop and easy/moderate hike perfect for kids to explore. Guests are welcome to forage fresh berries, herbs, veggies and eggs for their meals during their stay - say hello to our friendly flock of chickens and grab some eggs, just try your best not to let the girls out (It happens). My travel dog Thor and I had an exceptionally warm and cozy stop at this beautiful property en route to Golden BC. The field tent sits on a lovely deck overlooking a beautiful valley. With all the development in Spokane it is amazing that this beautiful semi urban area is so close to the city. We loved watching the sunset, deer in the field and stars at night. The tent and field kitchen are exceptionally well appointed. The bed is super comfy and the tent feels like a boutique hotel with all the hosts thoughtful touches. The host are lovely and great communicators. So glad they are sharing their little piece of Spokane valley paradise with people like me. We will be back with more time to relax, enjoy the tent, deck and the beautiful valley.

We absolutely loved our stay in Angela’s yurt enjoying the beautiful Glenrose area. Everything we needed was provided and farm fresh eggs were a treat. This stay is especially great for locals to have a little time “away” to slow down and be in nature. I cannot recommend enough - we plan to return for sure!

The Belle of Glenrose was a quaint and easy to access place to stay for the night. I enjoyed the warmly decorated inside of the yurt, as well as the deck with views of the valley. It was fun to see the chickens in the yard. Walking on the mowed trails was enjoyable, and having close proximity to the park trail up the road was an added bonus.

Beaver Bay was such a beautiful and fun place for a weekend camping trip with the fam. Kids and our dog had plenty of space to play and explore, and the kayaks were a great addition so we all had the opportunity to paddle on the lake. The water a ways out from the dock is pretty deep which was so refreshing for a quick swim! There was more than enough space for our trailer, two tents, and three cars. The extra table made a nice camp kitchen area. There are a few neighbors nearby, which was no problem especially with the privacy fencing and trees, we were more than able to relax and enjoy the outdoors peacefully. At night, you can hear train horns as they pass through nearby, which didn’t bother us but if you’re sensitive to that you might consider ear plugs if you’re tent camping. Thanks for sharing this spot with us, we hope to visit again soon!

This was the perfect little getaway our anniversary! Everything was so thoughtfully set up from the cozy string lights around the tents interior to the rustic kitchen equipped with all the tools needed to make a delicious breakfast & coffee. This location is an escape to the countryside, but is still so close to lots of local restaurants and adventures. Will definitely be staying here again!

We had such a great time at this spot. Unfortunately the smoke is bad right now but we still managed to enjoy ourselves. The view is incredible, super clean port-a-potty and everything was very clearly laid out for us to effectively utilize the site. We are definitely coming back again! Not buggy this time of year except for some yellow jackets.

What a lovely spot! Our first trip out in our trailer and it was perfect. Such a nice shaded, clean, level spot with everything you could need. So close to Farragut State Park for a day in nature, but also close to a grocery store for the things I inevitably forgot. Ron and Vicki were so kind and easy to communicate with.

Before you book a reservation at the Moose, there are a few things you should know. Our hope, and the reason we opened Lost Moose Campground, is that our guests would have a friendly and fun atmosphere away from life's hustle and bustle where everyone has the opportunity to relax, enjoy nature, and explore north Idaho with their family and friends. Our campground is remote and it does take a little more time and effort to get here. While most of our guests repeatedly tell us it's totally worth it and it's just what they were looking for, others have let us know that they would prefer to be closer to the Interstate and the amenities of "civilization." We just want everyone to be happy! So, before you book a reservation, we want you to know a few things about our campground that way you'll know just what to expect when you stay at the Moose! • Lost Moose Campground is located 8 miles south of Interstate 90. Getting here includes 6 miles of gravel road that can be a little bumpy at times throughout the year. • There's no cell service or wifi at the campground. A landline is available for emergencies and cell service can be found often when traveling nearby roads and trails. • Due to our proximity to Latour Creek we do not have sewer hookups or a dump station. All RV Sites are equipped with power and water hookups and toilets and hot showers are available. • The nearest grocery store is approximately 12 miles away, the nearest gas station 11 miles, nearest dump station 11 miles, and the nearest restaurant is about 12 miles away. It takes about 45 minutes to reach Coeur d'Alene or Wallace. • Latour Creek provides a great place for kids and adults alike to cool off in the summer, but it is not suitable for kayaking or floating. The Coeur d'Alene River is only 8 miles away and is well suited for those activities. • Crystal Lake trailhead is approximately 12 miles above the campground and is accessible by car. The Mirror Lake trailhead is also accessed about 12 miles above the campground, but includes a narrow jeep road that isn't suitable for vehicles not designed for off-roading. • The Trail of the Coeur d'Alene's bike trail parking area is 8 miles from the campground at the junction of Latour Creek and I-90. • ATV's can be ridden from the campground. There are no formal maps of our area, but we are happy to help give directions and suggestions for great places to ride. SO MANY THINGS TO DO Most of our guests come stay with us to get away in the wild. When you are out and about on the trails, chances are you'll see moose, elk and deer - if you're lucky you may even see a bear! It's a real rarity when we hit the trails and don't see at least one of the above! • IN CAMP Play in the river, do some fishing in the creek, play horseshoes and corn hole, eat ice cream, explore the surrounding area, relax, build a campfire, etc. • FROM CAMP Enjoy access to hundreds of miles of ATV/UTV trails directly from camp. Take off upstream or downstream and fish all day. Huckleberry picking in season only a few miles away! • OUTSIDE CAMP Bike trails, kayaking or floating the river, fishing, water parks, theme parks and area attractions. Fun urban adventures are within an hour of the campground! • SILVER MOUNTAIN Try mountain biking in the region's best lift served bike park, go for a scenic gondola ride, hike to the fire lookout on Kellogg Peak or just settle in for some huckleberry ribs and listen to live music at the mountain house grill. How about a round of mountain golf at Galena Ridge, or grab some pavement bikes from Silver Mountain Sports and hit the 72 mile bike path that runs right by our parking lot. Silver Rapids, Idaho's largest indoor waterpark, takes weather out of the equation by creating a perfect 84 degree, football field-sized location to splash, swim and surf on the perfect wave! The sky is the limit at Silver Mountain! • THINGS TO DO IN COEUR D'ALENE There’s something for everyone in Coeur d’Alene. If the sound of children's laughter drives you absolutely insane, you might think twice about booking a stay with us in the fall. Winter camping is available, please note we typically receive a lot of snow. Early spring is the extreme mud season, please be cautious of our soft ground and stick to the roads. July-August can get very dry some years, which means the grass goes dormant and dust starts to fly. Farm=Dirt MAX STAY IS 14 DAYS.
