This is a very private and quiet place, more of a sanctuary and not a party place. The only thing you hear is nature, a breeze through the pine trees, the birds, and the creek. This property was and is an organic permaculture farm in the forest. There are two orchards and an organic garden. The water is from a spring. The La Luna cabin is no longer off grid, but if the power does go out, it's a great place to be.. Hot Showers at my cabins are private and outdoors. There's nothing more wonderful than a hot spring-fed shower. The toilets are composting. (No water is wasted here)! Two of the cabins were built from the trees on the property by the first family that lived here in the earlier 1900s. The Birds Nest cabin was originally a tool shed that needed a LOT of Love to be in the condition that it is today. It does have power, running water and wi-fi. There is the option to take an acrylic painting class, banjo, guitar or fiddle lessons, paddleboard lessons, and have a real old-timey campfire with a glass of wine or two with live music performed by our famous Fiddlin Red on the fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Your experience here may change your life forever! We haven't added all the experiential options yet, so if there is something you are interested in please inquire. Every year we make it more and more magical and interesting. It's four miles up a county-maintained dirt road and one mile to a non-motorized lake. I can't see my neighbors, but they are awesome artists and musicians and some of them are off the grid! If you're bringing a pet, they must be on a leash and be quiet pets. If you are bringing a child they also need to be quiet and respectful. I want to keep my neighbors and my other guests happy with a peaceful atmosphere. Thank you!

Available only on HipCamp for a larger group: the one bed/one bath with kitchen vacation home can take up to four persons while up to four may camp in the front yard (RV/tent). Two week maximum stay for this type of arrangement. Otherwise the home and RV spot may be rented individually and separately. The rentable large front yard is enclosed with a fence about .5 of an acre. The overall property is about eight acres. There are tall fir trees, grassy area, a firepit, pull-through driveway, shade. There is a large firepit, water, 30A power pole. No sewer for the RV. Most suitable for a vehicle pulling a RV up to 30-foot long. Driveway is flat with wood chips / gravel. Has a picnic table. The house on the property has a front porch with a pergola and another outdoor table with a shade umbrella. No access to the house. There are two driveways, North and South. Enter through the North driveway. There is a long-term tenant that lives in a detached shop on the South of the property and who also uses the South driveway.

A quick trip to Sand Point was easy and convenient for a short exploratory afternoon away. Lori was very friendly and gave a quick tour upon arrival.

Great experience. Live in Spokane and had been looking for a quick getaway spot. Amazing staff. Very professionally run operation. Something for the whole family—pool, dog park, kayak and paddle boat rentals—close to the wonderful city of Coeur d’Alene, surrounded by nature at its finest. I’ve already made a list of my favorite sites for next time!

This was my first camping experience at Camp CDA. I hope to return again in the near future. The campground has lots of cozy-looking cabins, a reasonably-priced store with necessities, a laundry, swimming pool, showers, kayak and canoe rentals, dog park, tons of walking and hiking trails. Everything is clean and ship-shape, and the lake proper is just a stroll (or short kayak ride) away. While most of the camping spots were close together I still had privacy and also ended up meeting many fellow campers. (I think I may have made one new true friend!) But what made this the best campground ever were the wonderful employees. Mandy checked me in with so much care and kindness and gave me the whole rundown on how and where to access everything I needed. Jeff, the manager, was more than kind when I had big car problems that were surely a headache for him. He very well could have made me feel like crawling under a rock for all the trouble I caused with the mechanical problems, but he never did, not at all. To the contrary, he checked in on me and made sure all was well. That's real; you can't fake it. Most of all, I cannot thank Bailey enough for everything he did to make our stay truly great even though I broke my foot (compounding the car problems). It could have been a disaster and Bailey used his own time to take me to the urgent care. Bottom line: it is a beautiful, big and well-appointed and cared-for camp with genuinely nice folks running things. Thank you all!
