Weekend Trip to Paradise on Mirror Lake

Had such a great weekend! Nathaniel was very attentive to our needs and was very quick to text back with any questions I had! The kids loved the Enchanted Forest.

This campsite was perfect for me and my dog for an overnight stay. The campground was perfect and the lake was very peaceful and beautiful.

I Stayed at Campsite C and had a beautiful view of the lake. I was also close to the eletrical box which was very nice. I added in the geocaches and those were also fun. My gf made a sketch of the scenery to put into one of the geocache boxes. I hope whoever finds that enjoys! I would love to stay at this campsite again!!!

3 nights at Paradise on Mirror Lake

We stayed in Site B with a 21ft trailer. The site was very spacious but a little awkward to get the trailer backed in close to the plug based on the traffic flow direction and the location of the pedestal. The pad area was relatively flat but did require a little bit of level to the camper. The campground was quiet and secluded. During our stay, there was no one camping near the shoreline, and we were able to enjoy some time lounging in the hammocks. We would absolutely stay here again.

3 nights at Q Mountain Lodge

What a find! We have an off grid rig, but we certainly begin every season on grid in case we find out an unfortunate reality about our equipment. Susie made the mission enjoyable and we had a great time. She has great camping spaces around her grand log mansion. A lot of history and a determined entrepreneur are sure to make your stay a good one!

2 nights at Little Pine Creek Retreat

It is close enough to ride your bike from camp to the Trail of the Coeur d' Alenes, 1.7 miles. It was very quiet. Good internet.

2 nights at Paradise on Mirror Lake

We stayed at site A two nights, and had a lovely time. The enchanted forest and Sasquatch trail were fun, and the birds on the lake were also a real treat. Nathaniel was attentive and kind!

We had such a great time at this campsite. It is perfect if you are looking for something to get outside with some privacy, but not super far off from towns. The porta potty and amenities shed were great condition. The lake was more beautiful in person - we will definitely be coming back!

Easy directions, access, felt safe and the road wasn’t noisy. Close to Spokane valley, post falls, liberty lake and CDA.

It was great. A nice simple building on the lake. It keeps the weather off of you. It's very simple not power(although they are planning on solar panels next year or so.) It was wonderful to watch the sun go down over the mountain. Fire buckets and a nice fire pit and plenty of dead wood around.

This is a wild and exposed setting on a steep grass/dirt driveway that best suits Overland and Truck Camper type all terrain vehicles. This is an adventurous site on the Kootenai River with tall pines, and steep rock scrambles to the water where the fish often bite. There are 2-plus spaces present with room for more if your group is larger. The lower space is good for one rig, and the upper space will hold a few rigs if that is needed. All-wheel/four-wheel drive recommended. There is cell service if you need it, but NO other utilities are present on-site. Turn right just after 86 Tall Timber Rd and drive 1000ft down the grass driveway to the landing area and enjoy! See photo’s for more guidance.

The campsite is off-the-beaten path so you'll be away from the crowds, yet the site is still close to other area attractions like Lake Pend Oreille (10 min. drive), charming downtown Sandpoint (15 min. drive) and Silverwood Theme Park (30 min. drive). The beauty and allure of Mirror Lake led to it being featured in two Hollywood movies -- Dante's Peak (1997) and Mel (1998). The lake itself is excellent for fishing, and stocked with Kokanee, Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Cutthroat Trout. The stocking is typically scheduled for the first week of June each year, so if you are an angler, it's best to come after June 7th for the best fishing. Paying homage to the Bigfoot legend in northern Idaho, the theme of this campground is all things Sasquatch! Can you find all 9 Sasquatch hiding throughout the campground? Swimming in nearby Talache Landing (a.k.a. Talache Beach) on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille is an absolute must-do. The views are absolutely stunning and the water is crystal clear -- and quite refreshing on a hot day. Fishing is best done in a canoe or small boat which can be put in at our campground dock (free) or at the nearby public boat ramp ($5 fee). When selecting your campsite, please take note of the following: Best lake views: Sites A, C and D. (Sites 1, 2, 3, E and F have partially obstructed lake views due to trees.) Easiest RV access: Site B. It's a pull-through site. Most private: Sites A, B, 1, 2 and 3, or Sites C/D or E/F, when booked in pairs. There are 3 rental spots that are all creek side and next to each other. You can wade in the shallow creek, swim in the pond, enjoy a walk on the nature trail around the property and just enjoy your camp spot surrounded by the forest and creek. There are also many trails and adventures within a 15 min drive of the property. We have a few dogs that live on property and like to come say hi to the campers and play fetch. The dogs are all friendly, but we ask that any guests bringing their own dogs please keep them on a leash as we do not know how they would all interact each other or local wildlife.

It's a basically level area with several options for how to park. Large pine trees provide shade but let plenty of light through.
