1 night at The Loft At Praise Acres
I got in late and left early so I didn't get the full experience. That said, the communication and directions were good. It was close enough to rt 95 to make the quick overnight convenient. The place was clean and well appointed. You are staying on a farm so I would expect the normal farm sounds like cows and roosters. Plenty of parking and room for my small boat and trailer.

Camping at Pastimes Cabins and Camp near the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge was a peaceful and enjoyable experience. The campground is quiet, well-maintained, and surrounded by natural beauty, making it a perfect place to unwind and disconnect.
The sites are spacious, clean, and thoughtfully laid out, offering both privacy and comfort whether you’re camping in a tent or staying in one of the cabins. The owners and staff are friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful—they make you feel at home from the moment you arrive.
One of the best parts of staying here is the location. Being so close to the Okefenokee allows for easy access to boating, wildlife viewing, hiking, and photography, while still having a calm place to return to at the end of the day. This was an excellent experience. The family vibe at Hostel in the Forest was incredibly welcoming. They have been around 50 years and their systems were clear and my orientation was lovely and complete. The land is really happy and magical. I am so grateful for the opportunity to land in this place for a night, and will certainly return again if the time aligns.

2 nights at Okefenokee Pastimes Cabins and Camp
If you’re going to the swamp to kayak, this is a great location. It is right across from the National Wildlife Refuge entry. I stayed in the most basic cabin, whites just two beds, a mini fridge, microwave, fire pit, and small screened porch. Cabin is the size of a bedroom, basically. Communal shower and bathroom was satisfactory for a camping experience. Don’t expect hotel quality in the bathroom, that’s not what this is about. Charlene, a caretaker, was kind and helpful. I stayed her with my adult son. Perfect for two people. We brought a portable grill to make our own food and also went to Folkston for one dinner. It is quiet and family friendly. The swamp is an amazing natural wonder.

Absolutely love sunny oaks! One of the nicest RV parks in the Jacksonville area! Highly recommend, it’s clean, quiet, the residents and management are extremely friendly and accommodating, there bathrooms and showers are kept immaculate, laundry on site and they don’t gouge you on the prices of anything! If u need a place to stay with your rv or travel trailer in Jacksonville don’t go anywhere else!!
