When purchased the home was a small non descript cottage with a pole barn in the back field. The water is well water, pure and delicious without chemicals. The cabin is equipped with a full size pool table for our guests enjoyment. The master bedroom offers a comfortable sleigh bed, full bathroom with shower and just outside the bedroom is a comfortable patio to enjoy, complete with table and chairs for two and outdoor fire place. Also available is a twin bed tucked in the corner of the area between the main room and bedroom. For guests wishing to continue their exercise routine, a modern treadmill is available as well. Walk the spacious well landscaped yard with multiple seating venues including a large hammock. Neighborhood noises including dogs/cars/roosters/etc are also possible, as are the sounds of wildlife! We've seen deer, heard bobcats, and are stunned by the variety of birdsong we hear in the mornings. We are in the process of restoring our land. Shoes are required on the lot, as there could be remaining debris from the previous owners. For the same reason, we also require guests to stick to the gravel and mulched areas and paths. Other things to note The bus is visible from the road, however we are one of only 3 houses on this street, so traffic is minimal (though it can be fast). 🐾 Pet Policy We’re happy to welcome well-behaved dogs! There is a $50 pet fee per stay to help cover additional cleaning and upkeep so we can continue offering a fresh, comfortable space for every guest (and their furry friends 🐶). I can hardly express just how amazing our little vacation at Deer Camp was. My wife and I were blown away by the cozy and welcoming atmosphere we walked into. The photos on the website hardly did it any justice for just how truly wonderful our stay was. We had planned to explore the area, but instead spent our time at the cabin for our entire stay. Mitch and Lori were fantastic hosts and we can’t thank them enough for the care and love they clearly put into the place. They really went the extra mile to stock the place with everything you need and more. My wife and I are already planning our next visit!

Great place to stay! Not far from Chattanooga proper so we were able to use uber/lyft. Perfect place for me as someone who experiences sensory overload - room was dark and quite also perfect for my girlfriend who is always cold bc they have a heated mattress pad. They are both very talented artists and we enjoyed our tour of their studios& even bought two pieces of art. Will come back!

My partner and I stayed just 2 nights but would have loved to stay longer! The camper was so charming and cozy! I can’t say enough good things about my stay! The farm setting was absolutely serene — nestled along a river and within striking distance of the mountains. The hosts were genuinely kind and welcoming, and they went out of their way to help me plan things to do in the area — from scenic spots to local hidden gems; they went out of their way to make my stay extra special. Weekend Trip to Running Water Creek

First time camping ever and we were absolutely blessed by this site! It was such a wonderful way to ease ourselves into camping, everything was super accessible while still maintaining our privacy and allowing us to fend for ourselves just a bit lol I would recommend bringing extra blankets and pillows, thankfully we did and it made a world of a difference. Would so come back!
