Welcome to our page! Oak Grove Campsite is a beautiful, private campground near Savannah Ga. The campsite is nestled underneath one of our large oaks completed with plenty of room to roam around. Some of the features include a picnic table, large lighted firepit, hammock, wood swing, etc. We also have swings sets and a few other features for the kiddos. Oak Grove Campsite is located approximately 30 min from downtown Savannah and 40 min from Tybee Island. The site has 30/50 amp and clean water hookups. We do not have sever hookups but here is a dump station located 15min from site.

We knew our property was a special place when we found it during our search when we decided to move our alpaca farm from FL to GA. We have raised alpaca for last 17 years. They are a fiber producing animal (similar to sheep) as well as just a beautiful animal, have great personalities and it is amazing to watch the herd dynamics. We have 2 very spoiled donkeys (sister and brother-gelded) - have had them for about 18 years. We are committed to provide the best care possible for our animals and love to educate people about alpacas (and donkeys). There is a large covered deck overlooking the alpaca pastures - come hang out with them. We have a farm store onsite with various items for sale made out of the alpaca fiber (socks, scarves, sweaters, hats, plushies, etc). As part of your stay, we provide a short alpaca farm tour! There is a 2 acre pond on our property which is adjacent to the campsite area separated by a fence. The campsite area is located away from our main house and the alpaca barn. There is a picnic table available. We have a bathroom facility onsite (and in the future a shower) - a short walk from the campsite area. A creek runs along the western boundary of the property with an ephemeral (seasonal) wetland to the southwest. The overstory of the forest is dominated by loblolly and slash pine with a few longleaf pine sprinkled in, as well as turkey oak, live oak, laurel oak, and sweetgum. Here’s a short and sweet campsite review based on your notes: --- Only stayed one night, but it was perfect. The property was spotlessly clean, (especially the portapot), very private, and wonderfully quiet. Highly recommend buying the excellent firewood—burns great and made the stay even cozier. Would definitely return!

If I could live here, I would. As it is, I’ll just visit while I can! The IGA is 6 min away but when you’re there it’s 600 miles away. There is wildlife and neighbors. My only complaint is I’ve discovered I’m allergic to no-see-ems and they live here. So strong bug repellent, but if you have a problem with that, camping isn’t for you anyway :D

Great host! Durand helped me back into position at the site. Site is landscaped, neat, clean and peaceful. Friendly horses! Bring some carrots and apples for them and you’ll have two new friends. This was our 2nd time there and Durand met us as we arrived and assisted my backing into the spot. This place is a working farm and it's neat, clean, landscaped, and scenic. Our site was ready when we got there and we loved the horses (bring carrots and apples), loved the peace and quiet, and the night sky. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Cassabl Farm

We had amazing time tent camping here. We got to meet Steve and April as they brought wood to our campsite when we first arrived and they were very kind and answered all our questions. They told us all about the budding vineyard visible from the campsites and how it will soon support a winery that will be opening next year. We were lucky enough to be able to try a few of their wines and they were all delicious. We'll definitely be coming to visit the winery once it opens up! The camp sites were all well mentioned and felt safe and secluded. There was plenty of firewood available to purchase and the porta potty was clean and centrally located. My wife and I explored the property a bit with our dog and it was very nice. The sunset view of the marsh at the far edge of the property was absolutely gorgeous and it was really cool to be able to walk around the vineyard and check out that area of the campsite. We will definitely be coming back to camp here regularly!

Steve has a beautiful, big back yard near Savannah ready for a visit. Just 20 minutes from everything you can't find a better place to park your rig if you're in the Savannah area. Easy in and out for any size camper with plenty of space to camp without feeling like you're encroaching on the family. Definitely a great place to stay!
