Hello Campers, We are a 125 acre property that has 36 holes of championship disc golf. The North Oconee River runs through our property as well as three ponds throughout. We have plenty of room to pitch your tents. It really depends on how far you would like to be from the bathhouse. We are 6 miles from Lake Lanier and the Chattahooce River, and a short drive to hiking/mountain biking trail heads. We have a wonderful bathhouse with restrooms, showers and laundry just a very short walk from our sites (maintained by the staff at the park). We're also pet-friendly and love our furry campers! Our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit campsite has soft opening under way! This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate). We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s. We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need. You will see the hand cut terraces put in by the farm workers and then the forest has spent the last 50 years taking it back. Still lots of old growth trees around though. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. There is a 14 mile concrete trail that runs behind the property and all the way out along the south river. Quite the hike or bike if you fancy a good walk. There is a 18 hole golf course, sports fields, public pool and YMCA type community center all along the trail and walking distance from the campsite. We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on. We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral. You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). We make a lot of our infrastructure from windfallen and site development trees that are cut and shaped on our own electric sawmill. Weekend Trip to Brooks Lake, A Peace of Heaven

Bill & Laura's hospitality was amazing! They made every effort to help us find a great spot right on the lake! Moved and leveled the picnic table while we enjoyed conversation. Communication details were very detail and a great help. The views were beautiful and serene, we even had access to a gazebo next to our camp. We slept in our tent and felt very safe. We caught two nice size catfish just before leaving which was great! I can't say enough about this private camp site, except we will be back again soon.

However, to Aaron's credit, he has chosen NOT to develop his gorgeous property and keep it pristine and instead turn it into an RV haven. Coming in from the highway with a large rig, it was a little nerve wracking coming in through town and into his property, but if I can fit ANYONE can fit. Lots of separation from others. Wonderful space.

Beautiful area! Host was very communicative (such fast response times). Area was lovely and incredibly dog safe. Booked it knowing I would be going on a cold and rainy camping trip. Still had an absolute blast. Amazing plot of land - large enough for guest limit with tons of extra space. I brought my dog and she absolutely loved it.

3 nights at Risin' RV

My husband & I spent 3 nights at Risin’ RV. This is a cozy, urban camping experience. Location is great because you feel as though you’re in the country, however you are minutes from downtown East Atlanta. The community here is at a soft open. There is some construction going on, however it really didn’t interfere with our stay at all. You need to be self-contained to stay here because there are no bathrooms or showers. However, there are full hookups for RVs/trailer camping. The camp has a cat & chickens wandering around & that was really fun. Communication with the camp hosts was easy. The camp is secure & safe. There are 2 security gates & we were given a code for the keypad so we could come & go as we pleased. There was a little bit of road noise, however not significant. We had a quite, peaceful stay at Risin’ RV.

Francisco was very welcoming and I felt at ease. I didn’t spend too much time at the campsite except to sleep, but it was nice to be in the woods at night and still have access to a modern-rustic toilet/sink. He offered to give me an awning during the rain as well, which I saw too late haha but was appreciated.

Loved this little spot! My hubby and I chose the more primitive location. It felt super secluded at night with a gorgeous view of the lake. Will definitely be back!!

Weekend Trip to White Dog Farm camping

A peaceful site in a grassy field beside a gently flowing stream. Nice fire pit and host sells wood. Lots of horses nearby for company. Anna was helpful with arranging my arrival time. The only thing needing improvement is the porta-potty. It's slightly tilted and too crowded with accessories (bins, sanitizer dispenser, etc) getting in the way of the main purpose for visiting. A good location for visiting hiking trails, wineriess, etc. Lots to do in the area. I would definitely return.

We absolutely loved our stay! The property was immaculate — easily the cleanest and most well-kept campsite we’ve ever visited. The pond, the fishing, and the barn were all highlights of our weekend. Everything was so thoughtfully maintained, and the host was incredibly responsive and friendly. We can’t wait to come back — this is hands down our favorite Hipcamp property ever.
