Great site for primitive camping. Chip was helpful in ensuring we found the right spot and very communicative.

Nice smaller spot in the woods for a tent or two, very private and cozy. Has some benches and a fire pit to set up around. It is near a low traffic road, but the tree line and location help keep it very secluded.

hip was very hospitable and has an amazing camp setup! finding the site was easy with the guidance he provided and was very welcoming even encouraging a return visit! Site is ideal for car camping and bring firewood for the firepit at the site, Hope you have as good of an experience as I did!

As a frugal solo camper, this is one of the safest feeling sites I've ever stayed at. I was able to arrive late and in the morning Chip invited me to have a cup of coffee and we had a great conversation. I would definitely camp out here again!

Very peaceful. Had a good night sleep and not far from town. Also Chip was very nice and very helpful. If you want some good rest and peace and quiet I really recommend it. I look forward to going back soon.

Very private little spot for yourself.
I'm good with directions and Chip's directions were good but I got in quite late and wasn't confident in what I was seeing in the dark. Part of the adventure of being so "away from it" is how poorly you see in the dark haha! Even it being late, Chip was still accommodating, warm, welcoming. (You just have to split off from the driveway, to the right).
Chip was a clear communicator, thoughtful, polite, and interesting to boot!
Got a great view of stars and the moon, the campsite was level, I saw no poison ivy at all, and fire ant mounds were very few.

Chip was very welcoming and helpful. I arrived after dark and he was kind enought to come out and show me the spot. The site was perfect for a minimalist experience, which was exactly what I needed. Peaceful..slept like a baby and woke up refreshed! I would definitely recommend.

I came down to visit Athens and it was a short drive. Tucked away in along the woods. This would be great for UGA football weekends.

Very primitive spot, good for tents not much bigger than 4 person, 12’x12’. There was a road close by but a total of 3-4 cars drove by the whole night we stayed. Overall, it was so peaceful and I’d stay here again.

Great spot for visiting Athens. Private, simple, quiet, no light pollution. Easy and quick to get into Athens. Host was attentive. I recommend it.
