The Neature Preserve (formerly known as "Tabby's Trees") consists of 74 acres made up mostly of pine forest situated in the coastal plain. A creek runs along the western boundary of the property with an ephemeral (seasonal) wetland to the southwest. The overstory of the forest is dominated by loblolly and slash pine with a few longleaf pine sprinkled in, as well as turkey oak, live oak, laurel oak, and sweetgum. We have ~1.5 miles of trails that wind through a variety of ecosystems (trails can hiked or biked). The property has three primitive camping sites. Two of the sites are for tent camping only (where you would park your car along the hiking trail and then follow a separate path to get to the campsite), with one site that has enough space to park multiple cars or small camper right at the campsite.
The Neature Preserve is all about restoring native habitat! Prescribed fire is used at The Preserve to safely and efficiently restore and maintain productive ecosystems and to support our native plant and animal species. Info about prescribed fire as well as other restoration practices and projects going on at The Neature Preserve can be found below.

We own a small farm on 64 total acres with around 59 wooded. We have 4 primitive camping sites with lots of woods, wildlife, and two small creeks. We are even located on a short dirt road to give you that country feel.
All of our sites are spread out from one another and you will feel secluded in the woods with nature.
On our farm are free range chickens, peacocks, goats and a donkey in a pasture, turkeys (wild and domesticated), honeybees (in the field), and a few outdoor cats.
We enjoy our animals and nature. We want to share this experience with others so we have decided to rent a few camping spots that we have shared over the years with our children.
Enjoy the peaceful nights and the sounds of nature and star lit skies. In the daytime check out our farm animals, walk the trails, or explore the woods. Guest are welcome to pet and feet the animals if they choose.
We are conveniently located less than two miles from a Dollar General, three miles from several restaurants right of I75, 8 miles to nearest Walmart, under 20 minutes to High Falls State Park, under 25 minutes to Dauset Trails Nature Center, and under 30 minutes to Indian Springs State Park. All of this located close to our property while being only 3 miles from the I75 on ramp at exit 205.

We have three nice goats that would love to meet and play with you in addition to the fireflies, deer, hummingbirds, cardinals, hawks, rabbits, squirrels, foxes, and bats for viewing. There is a 1/3 mile track in the pasture for walking and a 1/2 mile mountain trail up to the ridge summit. Near world class river rafting, fishing, hiking, and tubing in the Smoky Mountains.

The Neature Preserve (formerly known as "Tabby's Trees") consists of 74 acres made up mostly of pine forest situated in the coastal plain. A creek runs along the western boundary of the property with an ephemeral (seasonal) wetland to the southwest. The overstory of the forest is dominated by loblolly and slash pine with a few longleaf pine sprinkled in, as well as turkey oak, live oak, laurel oak, and sweetgum. We have ~1.5 miles of trails that wind through a variety of ecosystems (trails can hiked or biked). The property has three primitive camping sites. Two of the sites are for tent camping only (where you would park your car along the hiking trail and then follow a separate path to get to the campsite), with one site that has enough space to park multiple cars or small camper right at the campsite.
The Neature Preserve is all about restoring native habitat! Prescribed fire is used at The Preserve to safely and efficiently restore and maintain productive ecosystems and to support our native plant and animal species. We own a small farm on 64 total acres with around 59 wooded. We have 4 primitive camping sites with lots of woods, wildlife, and two small creeks. We are even located on a short dirt road to give you that country feel.
All of our sites are spread out from one another and you will feel secluded in the woods with nature.
On our farm are free range chickens, peacocks, goats and a donkey in a pasture, turkeys (wild and domesticated), honeybees (in the field), and a few outdoor cats.
We enjoy our animals and nature. We want to share this experience with others so we have decided to rent a few camping spots that we have shared over the years with our children.
Enjoy the peaceful nights and the sounds of nature and star lit skies. In the daytime check out our farm animals, walk the trails, or explore the woods. Guest are welcome to pet and feet the animals if they choose.
We are conveniently located less than two miles from a Dollar General, three miles from several restaurants right of I75, 8 miles to nearest Walmart, under 20 minutes to High Falls State Park, under 25 minutes to Dauset Trails Nature Center, and under 30 minutes to Indian Springs State Park. All of this located close to our property while being only 3 miles from the I75 on ramp at exit 205.

We loved tent camping at the pond!
Perfect for a nice quiet getaway.
There's plenty of trees for a shady spot with a steel fire pit and some cleared brush behind the pond to pick out firewood.
There's lots of wildlife and farm animals to see and plenty of space to walk.
It was a great place to train our dog off leash as well.
There are several dogs that live across the far side of the pond that were loud at times, but not too often.
One of the funniest parts of the stay was hearing a loud "bloop" in the night when the local beaver jumped off the dock.
Overall a serene and beautiful stay.

Nice location on the St. Marys river. If you are tent camping, it's probably wise to check if the nearby mudbog pit (Soggy Bottom) is planning an event, otherwise noise could be an issue. Also, the gravel drive is pretty steep. Be careful to get a rolling start when exiting the gate

We easily towed our Taxa Tigermoth down the narrow driveway and settled into Site #1. Farrah has done an excellent job setting everything up (spacing, signs, lights, fire pit...). The other tent sites and the glamping site were empty during our stay, so our evening was very chill. We enjoyed a fire and viewed the stars. The distance to the house through the orchard is generous, so it feels very private, yet secure. And the airy composting toilet was well executed - no complaints. It is the nicest outhouse my wife has ever used. We saw deer, heard many birds, and loved the chickens & goats (missing our chickens). We would definitely stay again.

Very cool camp site this time of year. Fields were pretty empty due to it being an off-season for pecans. Bathroom was almost out of toilet paper but host was very quick to refill it once notified. Had pretty good Verizon service all around camp and driveway was not too bad to go up, even on a motorcycle. Many bugs in the area but you're camping, what else would you expect? Will definitely be going back if I need to stay the night in the area!

One of the best Hipcamps out there! Mike and Karen are very welcoming, very receptive to all our questions and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Their property is beautiful! They have put a lot of heart and soul into ensuring that your visit is one of a kind, with walking trails, a pond with fish to feed, hammocks, and many sitting areas to relax and take in the sights and sounds of nature. There was plenty of room for our 40’ Class A and toad. Our stay was extremely peaceful, serene and relaxing and we will definitely be back to visit again! Highly recommended!

Tent camping was a great time. It was nice getting to be around all the animals! The cats and dogs were lovely enough to visit us frequently during our trip. My only suggestion would be to maybe add some signs with numbers for the sites and a sign for the bathroom. But everything else was great! Sean was very responsive with any questions we had.
