A small but unique piece of land that was given to a family in the 1920s by the Florida Railroad Company. It stayed in the family until we purchased it. It is unique because the surrounding area does not have much tree coverage. This is
due to the ground underneath, which is a vein of grey marl. This is why the area is called the Allapattah (an Indian word for Alligator) Flats.
We are hoping that our county stays the way it is so people will know what Old Florida really looks like.
Minutes from I-95, but surrounded by the Allapattah Flats Wildlife Management Preserve. Located on Martin Hwy, which was recently designated as a Florida Scenic Hwy. Fifteen minutes to Stuart and thirty minutes to West Palm Beach, a world away from the hustle and bustle.
We realize that people also love Florida for Disney and tropical paradises but if that is what you want then this may not be your kind of place.
Depending on the season and availability we may have local honey and/or firewood available for purchase.

World class deep sea fishing, boating, and some of the finest seafood restaurants on the east coast are less a mile away. We’re just 5 miles from downtown Stuart on the Inland waterway that offers a lovely walkable downtown where you will find a theater, unique art studios, interesting and unique craft and clothing shops, and numerous restaurants offering everything from vegan and vegetarian options, to pizza, steak, and local seafood. If you’re looking for fast food franchises in the downtown areas, you’ll need to look elsewhere!
Only 11 miles from Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Daily excursions are available from the launch site to the infamousTrapper Nelson’s hideaway. A must do for adventurous types who appreciate legends and creative off grid living.
ABOUT US:
This Camp Site is on a 1/2 acre, owner occupied property and located in a beautiful, open, quiet neighborhood setting. It offers a natural walking path with several foot bridges around the lake. Our property has very easy accessibility to all major roads including interstate 95. Our camp sites provide a peaceful stay while still being close to all you seek. This location makes for a great stop over or destination spot.
Guests will wake in the morning to the lovely site and peaceful sounds of the mostly year round residents including pileated and red-bellied woodpeckers, vultures, raccoons, egrets, ibis, hawks, quaker parrots, herons, bluejays, grackles, crows, lizards, mourning doves, gray squirrels, owls, hawks, and occasional sightings of iguanas and turtles. Nights tend to be dark and quiet with minimal traffic noise. We are pet friendly provided your pet is too! Again, this is in a quiet, neighborhood type setting, just a bit off the beaten path. We had a very pleasant stay. The tent platform was nice to have, the porta-potty was clean and there was hot water in the shower area. No picnic table or seating area at the site but a communal table right across the path. Having the miniature horses around camp was very fun!

Really secluded sites at the back of a large property. Yes as others have said there is road noise, that said it's not any worse than most KOA campgrounds ive been in.
We had a great stay met some other Hipcampers, but never met face to face with our hosts. The mini horses stopped by to say HI. Lots of bird song and the stars at night were awesome.
Shower outside the horse barn was very nice.
Would stay again when in the area.

Christine & Cal run a good campground.Their property is inviting and in a good location by the highway and the coastal towns. My trip was about decompressing which I was finally able to do at their campsite! The two mini mares are adorable and their little jack russell is the real owner of the place! Shower and fridge amenities are great as well as the water cooler. At night, yes, there is traffic noise but I wasn’t too bothered by it. I heard cows at night from nearby properties which I was not aware that cows mooed at night! Haha!

I had a great experience on Christine and Cal's property. So great I spent 5 weeks there. Tent site 3 had plenty of shade during the day. Christine and Cal were very accommodating. I totally enjoyed the miniature horses as well being an animal lover and all. Single and traveling alone, I felt very safe.

Molly’s farm is a great spot. Close to the action but not right in it. Pretty area, not a farm but plenty of space. A dump station is 10 minutes away and costs $20. John is a great host and Molly is a sweet heart. You do get a bit of road noise.

One of the most dynamic parks near West Palm Beach is Jonathan Dickinson State Park, home to an extensive network of hiking trails through 16 natural communities and nine miles of dedicated mountain biking trails. You can also paddle on the Loxahatchee River. The park’s two campgrounds have tent sites and RV sites with full hookups, picnic tables, grills, and restrooms.
Lake Okeechobee
Just west of West Palm Beach, the enormous Lake Okeechobee has excellent bass fishing. The 109-mile Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail circles the lake and makes for a scenic hiking and biking route.
When to go
West Palm Beach’s busy camping season is winter, when its mild tropical weather gives visitors a warm reprieve from freezing temperatures in the Northeast. Fall and spring are both pleasant as well, but beware of spring break crowds. Summers in South Florida are hot and humid with heavy rain, making tent camping a struggle. Summer and fall are also hurricane season here, when monitoring weather and storm forecasts is a necessity.
