An RV site with 30A power and water hookup, but no restroom available fo the RV site. A one room cabin with a queen bed is available with a separate full bathroom. Come visit our friendly donkey (Henry) and Scottish Highland cow (Wallace). You will hear roosters, braying and some mooing early in the morning. The Withlacoochee Trail is a mile east at the end of the road. This is a biking, hiking and equestrian trail. Florida Classic Park is roughly 2 miles north on Lockhart. The Croom Recreational Area is also 3 miles away. If you are traveling with farm animals, we do have (2) 2-acre cross-fenced paddocks available for an additional fee. This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. The pond is Spring-fed at the headwaters of Marsh Branch Creek which begins at our property and flows West about five miles in to Tampa Bay. Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites. Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants. Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too. Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand. Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas. The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish). Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property. We think the property is lovely, and definitely want you to enjoy your camping experience!

This piece of land is well loved and cared for by pure hearted stewards. Do yourself a favor and stay here! There is nothing like a piece of nature that is being well loved and just wants to love you back. The camper was a perfect nights sleep! I usually sleep restlessly in a new place. But here is slept soundly with only one small waking event. Between the bathroom, shower and kitchen setup they have everything I need to take of myself. I looming forward to returning!

Had a relaxing weekend at this beautiful site. Such a calm and serene vibe all around. I enjoyed seeing the chickens run around and the stars at night. The grill was so convenient to use and the hosts were friendly and helpful. I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. Many places to sit and enjoy a book. Bathhouse was very clean and well located. Exactly as described! Quiet and peaceful. Mini frig included which is very helpful not having to drag cooler(s) and ice back and forth!!! Bed is comfortable, fell asleep quickly, Did some research online before arriving to find places I wanted to for sure visit. Found some great restaurants in the area. There is a Publix nearby for restocking as needed as well as an outside ATM machine. My Australian Shepherd loved every minute of the trip! He was right at home in the cabin and loved all the new places to hike and explore!!

The best stay! We had the absolute best time staying in the camper. The property is gorgeous and the trails are well maintained. The horses and donkeys roam around during the day and came to visit the camper several times. We will absolutely be back!

Weekend Trip to Weeki wachee Sharing the Main river

This Rustic Retreat House is good for "River Rats" -- people who want to spend the most time outdoors kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, lounging on the chairs, having a campfire and smores at night. This place is not for "Swan Princesses" -- it is not fancy or new. It is rustic. There are 2 bedrooms & we loved the firm foam mattress in the Captain's Quarters bedroom. My kids slept fine in the other bed, but it was softer. There is one bathroom & the tub has hot water, but it is a bit finicky to turn on/off. There is no formal kitchen, if you need to actually cook, this is not the place for you. We really enjoyed getting away for the weekend & our primary purpose was to be outside on the water, in the water, visit Roger's Park which was only about a 15-20 minute kayak ride away, & explore the area, eat good seafood. We really wanted to see some manatees & saw a mama and her baby -- yay -- plus lots of birds, some fish, some turtles. We loved getting up in the morning & going right out back to the boats, getting in the water, paddling around the Mud River/Weeki Wachee. Then at night we roasted hot dogs, made smores by the fire. The house is located right at a thoroughfare so you do get to see all the other kayakers, boats, jet skis which we enjoyed. This house is best for people that are more chill & lower expectations. It is not glamorous -- it's old, a bit overcrowded, & the floors tilt, but it's great for getting away, using the boats, & being on the river.

Amazing! It was a hit with the kids and the adults with plans to come back next year. The horses are beautiful and friendly and really do come greet you (and beg for food) at your campsite. The camper was exactly what we needed but the outdoor showers and flush toilets and mini kitchen were great so we used those. Lots of open space to play. Thanks so much for having us!

Weekend Trip to The Scramble On Inn

Colleen greeted us when we got there and gave us a tour. The camp site was exactly as advertised. Everything was accessible and easy. There was another camp site but nobody there and even though owners are on site, there was plenty of privacy. It was the perfect mix of camping and modern conveniences included. We loved it and would definitely come back! 🙂

3 nights at The Olive Grove

Overall my experience was good! Deirdre is very welcoming and helpful. When I arrived the air conditioner was broke and she immediately had it replaced with a brand new one. The cabins and bathrooms and kitchen are very clean and well stocked with essentials. There is a small fridge though the freezer portion doesn’t keep stuff frozen. It’s only a few minutes from town which is continent though because it’s near the highway there is some traffic noise. Also be prepared for a morning wake up call from the New Guinea hens. There’s someone living in a camper right next to the cabins and bathroom/kitchen area, they were very quiet. Overall I had a nice stay, the accommodations are great, just would have liked a little more peace and solitude.

Weekend Trip to Cabin Glamping

Had a great time at the "cabin". Secluded enough for privacy. Very cute and homey. Colleen was a great host. Gave us full instructions on where everything was and how it works. They provided everything you needed. Just bring clothes, toiletries, and drinking water. Would definitely stay again if in the area again.

Weekend Trip to Lucky U Ranch

The RV was a home away from home. It was great for a family of five. We had a separate space from our kids and our kids loved the bunk beds. It’s easy to cook inside and outside. The hosts are extremely attentive and responded quickly to our many questions. We loved hiking through the cypress trees. Just watch out for the roots. Signs warn you of them too. We loved the communal space around the bathroom and showers. Our kids played in the sand for hours. We loved taking the tour to meet the goats, house pig and horses. You get to feed the horses too which is really fun. We can’t wait for our next trip. Our kids were sad to leave.

Weekend Trip to Cabin Glamping

This spot was quick and easy for a camper. The bed was comfy, the outdoor shower was great. The tin roof made the rain loud and lovely. I enjoyed it. Not a fancy place but a kind and welcoming one was what I needed on my first day of the adventure.

2 nights at Lucky U Ranch

The hosts Rob and Mike made us feel so welcome and at home here on their Ranch. The ranch tour was an added bonus, seeing all their animals goats, pigs, donkeys, Miniature horses, and an even an Arabian Stallion and we were able to hold a baby goat. We stayed in the RV Forrest Edge. It was clean and the bed was so comfortable. For us it was the added little touches of clean towels, shampoo/conditioner, coffee maker and a lovely tablecloth on the picnic table all added to such a wonderful stay. There were also separate showers and restrooms at the pavilion, where you could also make coffee or hot chocolate, with mugs provided which was nice touch. Some of the highlights of our stay, we're meeting the Donkeys and horses which would roam the grounds and also visit us at the RV. Needless to say we loved every minute of our stay, and will be coming back in the near future. Thank you Rob and Mike for great hospitality and for us lasting memories!!

3 nights at Jungle Oasis

Upon arrival we were welcomed and situated by Dona's mother. The 2 bedroom Florida Breeze Barndomion, was very clean fully furnished and had homey atmosphere. The screened in porch was a nice bonus., we stayed 3 days. The property is beautiful your surrounded by several different animals, our direct neighbors were horses , a pig, sheep, ram and the coolest deer I ever seen. A beautiful peacock that walks around so gratefully, it took my breath away. There is so much more to see, just schedule a tour with Dona and you will be able to visit other animals on the farm (animal sanctuary) Also it is a domestic animal friendly place too, we had our dog and cat with us, they settled in quite nicely. Plenty of space to walk your dog. Thank you Dona for making our stay very pleasant.
