A very tranquil and secure property, with an option for walks in the woods. William met us upon arrival with the rest of the welcoming crew of 3 pups. The Pine and Power was an excellent site, and so close the the well equipped bath house. We loved the tranquility and beauty of the property, and William was so accommodating and giving of his time, typical of the host who takes pride in his property and ensures his guests peace of mind. I enjoyed walks in the woods, with Sasha the husky usually tagging along when she saw me on the move. We will go out of our way to visit when we are next in Northwest Florida.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this cozy camper while visiting our daughter at FSU. The camper exceeded our expectations. It was a unique alternative to a hotel stay. It was private, comfortable and fun! The queen bed felt a little more like a double, but the dining table converts to a bed easily. The toilet and shower were easy to use. The shower area was clean and surprisingly provided an area to relax and freshen up. We didn't start a fire but sat in the cozy pit to have our coffee in the morning. Lots of beautiful birds stopped by to check us out. Firewood, kindling and fire starters were provided. We used the A/C so the hum of the fan blocked out sounds at night (so I’m not sure of the noise level at night). We will definitely stay here again!

We loved tent camping with the goats! We camped in the goat enclosure, and had a lot of fun keeping our stuff goat-proofed. We highly recommend ear plugs, as the roosters seem to think Dawn was every few minutes. But it was worth it! We really appreciated the community fridge that we could store some stuff in, and the community supplies (pots, pans, etc) in case you forgot something. The hostess was awesome. I even got to help with a baby goat delivery! Tell Fireball “hi” from me!

This cozy, quiet cabin was the perfect retreat during our 3-day soccer tournament stay. It had everything we needed—comfy beds, a warm shower, and a peaceful setting that made it easy to relax at night. One of the best parts was getting to spend time with the goats—such sweet animals! We even got to see a newborn baby with her mom, which was such a special experience. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend this unique and charming spot!

We loved this last minute camping experience. We were given the option to camp in the goat enclosure or coat to the bathroom and common space. Due to camping with kids and much rain forecasted, we opted to stay close to the bath house. As a working farm, the roosters kept the adults up, but the kiddos slept through the crowing and *loved* spending time with the goats and watching the chickens. We can't wait to return hopefully with clearer skies :)

Goat House Farm is a 501(c)3 owned micro-farm in a rural area of Tallahassee on the beautiful Lake Talquin. The farm has its humble beginnings in the summer of 2015 with four acres, four goats, and four chickens. Founded on the love of animals and a passion for sustainability, we remain committed to compassionate practices and the most natural care of our land and animals as possible. As stewards of the land and herd, we believe we have a responsibility to share nature's blessings. We offer several agritourism opportunities on the farm, from farmstays to day visits. Our primary program is to serve area youth with agricultural education and the opportunities to work with our goats. All proceeds from bookings go toward our programming. It is our goal to create a space where our visitors can have fun and learn about the animals who share that space. We also strive to serve as a valuable resource for first time goat owners. To support that endeavor, we sell chicken eggs, specialty cottage goods, honey, and natural goat milk and honey products. We also sell raw goat milk (for pet consumption only, as per Florida law - Master Feed License #ZOO406).

Planted pine, orchard, untouched wetlands, walking trails, planted fields for wildlife viewing. Quiet and peaceful escape. Close to several state parks, including Torreya, Three rivers, Seminole, Florida Caverns, and Lake Talaquin forest. At this time I can host 1 RV or camper with full hook ups, 3 RV sites with power, water and 1 boondock (no power/water) site but large enough for an off-grid/self-sustainable RV. I'm always happy to show folks around and share the story. Please note: During the rainy season the grass may get a bit long at times. You can also expect to experience a wide variety of agricultural activities, outside of quiet hours of course. Born out of a dream that started 10 years ago when I acquired 40 acres of forgotten and unmanaged rural woods. Having dug right in with the help of the Florida Forestry Service, FWC, IFAS, NRCS and a very knowledgeable private forester; we developed a conservation management plan to restore it to its native state. The neighboring land became available and happily added another 40, I've learned so much on this amazing journey. 25K pines and a great deal of sweat equity later, it is time to share and encourage others to join in on the conservation efforts and make sure it's around for future generations.

Welcome Home to CAMP TALLY! Stay in the most adorable place in all of Tallahassee City Proper. Camp Tally is tucked away in the Holly Hills neighborhood and features a 2023 Little Guy Max Teardrop Trailer. (AKA NYC apartment) Fully equipped with a queen size bed, microwave, propane cooktop, AC, Hot shower, toilet, dedicated workspace, FAST WIFI, TV, Fire ring, comfortable chairs, firewood, and most importantly Privacy all while being 2.1 miles from FSU & FAMU. The mattress was upgraded to a Sealy pillowtop. Our neighborhood is super safe and quiet, great for morning and evening walks or runs. We are a 7-minute drive to Whole Foods, 5 minutes to Publix, and a wonderful ice cream shop is across the street with a drive-through and non-dairy options if you can't do lactose. Our property is riverfront along the Aucilla River, and sits within the Aucilla Wildlife Management area. It is surrounded by nature and old Florida scenery. We are appx 45 mins from the little fishing village of Steinahatchee and 45 mins from Florida's State Capitol ,Tallahassee . Come to relax ! We offer kayaks and life jackets that can used at your risk. Scheduling is required . We have 3 singles, one being a fishing and one two persons. Furnished cottage with large river view windows and a walk around deck. The cottage is an open floor plan with king size bed and a full-size sleeper sofa. A comfy twin mattress bed can also be provided. Enjoy relaxing and watch the river flow by from the swivel rocker recliner. Climate controlled AC/Heating unit. Wall mounted swivel TV for easy viewing 200 channel Dish TV. Wi-fi available The cottage has a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and dishware. BBQ grille located on outside deck and propane is provided. There is a gas fire pit on the north river deck and a wood burning fire pit along the riverbank, wood provided. The space River Rise Cottage is set up to offer a relaxing and enjoyable experience to make lasting memories. The cottage has large windows with outstanding river views and a walk around deck that you can fish from. Should it rain, you can enjoy the sound of the rain on the metal roof. Several feet from the cottage is a screened porch overlooking the scenic river, with plenty of comfortable seating and a daybed... should you want to nap. From this location It's not uncommon to see wildlife. A wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind in the evening bug free. Take a swing on the open porch, sit riverside at either our propane fire pit or have a campfire (firewood provided) which is also along the river nestled in the woods. We encourage guests to use the outdoor seating areas for the ultimate relaxation experience and to find your favorite spot! Bar-B-Q with our easy-to-use propane grill (utensils and grill pans provided). Our fish station makes cleaning your catch a breeze! Also available a full-size fridge located on the screened porch in addition to the mini fridge in the cottage. Guest access Large open deck with ladder access to the floating dock which is perfect for mooring your boat or launching kayaks. Kayaks are available for guest use. Provided are (2) single person (1) fishing single person and (1) two-person tandem kayaks with life vest. We offer a complimentary shuttle service for the 5-mile downstream Aucilla River to the Gulf of Mexico trip. This can be scheduled after your check-in. Use of the kayaks are at your "own risk" with no host liability. We encourage guest to enjoy the common areas porches at back of main house. Camp chairs are provided and can be used at the fire pit and along the riverbank. A public boat ramp is located within 300 yards north of the property and we have ample storage for you boat trailer during your stay. Other things to note: House rules for children staying at the cottage. We gladly accept children with the understanding that all children thirteen and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times outside the cottage due to its proximity over the river and being in a very natural wildlife environment. This is a strict requirement that will be compulsory. This is for the safety of your children while staying at the River Rise Cottage. We are pet friendly but do require that your pets are not left alone in the cottage. We have different size crates available, and these are provided at no extra charge in the event that you should leave the cottage and choose not to take your fur baby with you. There is a $50 non-refundable pet deposit fee for 1 -2 pets. A guest’s animal must not be: Out of control Unhouse broken. Left alone at the listing without prior approval. Allowed into areas that are considered unauthorized to the guest. Allowed in a public space without being harnessed, leashed, or tethered and not under the guest’s control. Please clean up after your pet My wife and I live full time in the main house; however, we respect our guest’s privacy and our interaction is catered to each guests preference. We are both retired, enjoying our little piece of heaven, and hosting River Rise Cottage. We love Florida's "Forgotten Coast" and believe you will as well!
