The cottage has large windows with outstanding river views and a walk around deck that you can fish from. Should it rain, you can enjoy the sound of the rain on the metal roof. Several feet from the cottage is a screened porch overlooking the scenic river, with plenty of comfortable seating and a daybed... should you want to nap. From this location It's not uncommon to see wildlife. A wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind in the evening bug free. Take a swing on the open porch, sit riverside at either our propane fire pit or have a campfire (firewood provided) which is also along the river nestled in the woods. We encourage guests to use the outdoor seating areas for the ultimate relaxation experience and to find your favorite spot! Bar-B-Q with our easy-to-use propane grill (utensils and grill pans provided). Our fish station makes cleaning your catch a breeze! Also available a full-size fridge located on the screened porch in addition to the mini fridge in the cottage. Guest access Large open deck with ladder access to the floating dock which is perfect for mooring your boat or launching kayaks. Kayaks are available for guest use. Provided are (2) single person (1) fishing single person and (1) two-person tandem kayaks with life vest. We offer a complimentary shuttle service for the 5-mile downstream Aucilla River to the Gulf of Mexico trip. This can be scheduled after your check-in. Use of the kayaks are at your "own risk" with no host liability. We encourage guest to enjoy the common areas porches at back of main house. Camp chairs are provided and can be used at the fire pit and along the riverbank. A public boat ramp is located within 300 yards north of the property and we have ample storage for you boat trailer during your stay. Other things to note: House rules for children staying at the cottage. We gladly accept children with the understanding that all children thirteen and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times outside the cottage due to its proximity over the river and being in a very natural wildlife environment. This is a strict requirement that will be compulsory. This is for the safety of your children while staying at the River Rise Cottage. We are pet friendly but do require that your pets are not left alone in the cottage. We have different size crates available, and these are provided at no extra charge in the event that you should leave the cottage and choose not to take your fur baby with you. The Goat House Farm provided the perfect yet affordable getaway for my partner and I. The farm consisted of friendly goats, adorable chickens, and a dog named Tobi that made us feel right at home. The location of the farm was great, as we were able to go to various springs and state parks during our 2-night stay. The cabin included all the necessities and was comfortable. The host, Melissa, was very sweet and welcoming. It was a short hike to the lake that provided even more beautiful scenery. We quickly made friends with the orange cat that hung out outside the cabin, played fetch with Tobi, kicked our legs up outside, and made the most of our ideal summer evenings on the farm.

Amazing location, just a few minutes from FSU campus. I was visiting my son at FSU and needed a place close by to stay and this worked out perfectly. The camper was vey nice with a bunch of extras like a Keurig, Roku, and a Sega Genesis! The site is private and I was able to make a camp fire with the kindling and fire starters provided. Will definitely stay here again.

We loved camping out in Sandy’s Land. Our campsite Leroy’s lounge comfortably fit my husband, myself and our 6 children ranging from ages 6-15yrs old. We had the option for AC but didn’t take it there was plenty of ventilation and it rained every night so the temp wasn’t too bad. The kids loved feeding the animals, loved the two farm dogs, and had so many activities to do outside such as play in pool, archery, baseball, yard Jenga, badminton, etc. Additionally our hosts Steve and Sandy were super friendly and went out of their way to make this experience unique for us and our kids. They invited us to see their sister Farms horse show which was such a treat for both our oldest and youngest who are horse enthusiasts. My husband and I just enjoyed the peacefulness of their farm, the hosts hospitality, the beautiful starlight, and seeing our kids engage with one another and their neighbors w/out any blue screen for 3 days :)

This was a nice solo travel experience for me. The Rustic Cottage is very cozy, clean and stocked with almost everything you'd need (i.e. cookware, spices, body wash). Goat yoga was fun and the property is serene. Horseflies were in abundance during the day but that didn't dull the experience.

It’s truly a rural experience. The host was very responsive to all questions, before and during my visit. She even offered to let me come out when the goat kids were being bottle fed. The Coop was clean, decorated just like a chicken coop, and had cold A/C. I added in the morning biscuits option which was a tasty treat as I got on the road.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this cozy camper while visiting our daughter at FSU. The camper exceeded our expectations. It was a unique alternative to a hotel stay. It was private, comfortable and fun! The queen bed felt a little more like a double, but the dining table converts to a bed easily. The toilet and shower were easy to use. The shower area was clean and surprisingly provided an area to relax and freshen up. We didn't start a fire but sat in the cozy pit to have our coffee in the morning. Lots of beautiful birds stopped by to check us out. Firewood, kindling and fire starters were provided. We used the A/C so the hum of the fan blocked out sounds at night (so I’m not sure of the noise level at night). We will definitely stay here again!

This cozy, quiet cabin was the perfect retreat during our 3-day soccer tournament stay. It had everything we needed—comfy beds, a warm shower, and a peaceful setting that made it easy to relax at night. One of the best parts was getting to spend time with the goats—such sweet animals! We even got to see a newborn baby with her mom, which was such a special experience. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. This was really fun place to stay. I was in the “Little Coop” which was clean, cozy and convenient to the bathhouse. Basically, it is like camping without having to set up your tent! I enjoyed the goat and other animals on the farm. Melissa was a warm and welcoming host.
