Weekend Trip to Camp_Tally

Amazing location, just a few minutes from FSU campus. I was visiting my son at FSU and needed a place close by to stay and this worked out perfectly. The camper was vey nice with a bunch of extras like a Keurig, Roku, and a Sega Genesis! The site is private and I was able to make a camp fire with the kindling and fire starters provided. Will definitely stay here again.

We loved camping out in Sandy’s Land. Our campsite Leroy’s lounge comfortably fit my husband, myself and our 6 children ranging from ages 6-15yrs old. We had the option for AC but didn’t take it there was plenty of ventilation and it rained every night so the temp wasn’t too bad. The kids loved feeding the animals, loved the two farm dogs, and had so many activities to do outside such as play in pool, archery, baseball, yard Jenga, badminton, etc. Additionally our hosts Steve and Sandy were super friendly and went out of their way to make this experience unique for us and our kids. They invited us to see their sister Farms horse show which was such a treat for both our oldest and youngest who are horse enthusiasts. My husband and I just enjoyed the peacefulness of their farm, the hosts hospitality, the beautiful starlight, and seeing our kids engage with one another and their neighbors w/out any blue screen for 3 days :)

This was a nice solo travel experience for me. The Rustic Cottage is very cozy, clean and stocked with almost everything you'd need (i.e. cookware, spices, body wash). Goat yoga was fun and the property is serene. Horseflies were in abundance during the day but that didn't dull the experience.

It’s truly a rural experience. The host was very responsive to all questions, before and during my visit. She even offered to let me come out when the goat kids were being bottle fed. The Coop was clean, decorated just like a chicken coop, and had cold A/C. I added in the morning biscuits option which was a tasty treat as I got on the road.

2 nights at River Rise Cottage On the Aucilla

The cottage was extremely clean and well laid out. Literally right over the water, so the view was beautiful and oh so peaceful. We were really able to unplug. Michael and Audrey have really done a great job creating a welcoming, peaceful, clean and comfortable environment. They are excellent hosts.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this cozy camper while visiting our daughter at FSU. The camper exceeded our expectations. It was a unique alternative to a hotel stay. It was private, comfortable and fun! The queen bed felt a little more like a double, but the dining table converts to a bed easily. The toilet and shower were easy to use. The shower area was clean and surprisingly provided an area to relax and freshen up. We didn't start a fire but sat in the cozy pit to have our coffee in the morning. Lots of beautiful birds stopped by to check us out. Firewood, kindling and fire starters were provided. We used the A/C so the hum of the fan blocked out sounds at night (so I’m not sure of the noise level at night). We will definitely stay here again!

Great experience for the family. The kids learned a lot about animals. We learned about homesteading. There is so much for kids to d, which helps for a relaxing time for parents. Very nice people there as well.

This cozy, quiet cabin was the perfect retreat during our 3-day soccer tournament stay. It had everything we needed—comfy beds, a warm shower, and a peaceful setting that made it easy to relax at night. One of the best parts was getting to spend time with the goats—such sweet animals! We even got to see a newborn baby with her mom, which was such a special experience. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend this unique and charming spot!

We had the BEST time with Sandyland this weekend! We made a last minute decision to have a girls night for my birthday and we are so glad we did! We got to play with all of the furry friends, make smores by the fire, and the hosts could not have been more welcoming! Would definitely recommend this experience and we cannot wait to book again in the future! A true hidden gem in the Tallahassee area.

This was really fun place to stay. I was in the “Little Coop” which was clean, cozy and convenient to the bathhouse. Basically, it is like camping without having to set up your tent! I enjoyed the goat and other animals on the farm. Melissa was a warm and welcoming host.

I was in town with my adult daughter for a football game. We stayed in the cottage. What a unique and fun place! A perfect rustic getaway if you love animals. The bed was super comfortable and the cottage had every convenience needed. I call it glamping but even better. We paid for biscuits and soap that we did not receive, but in all fairness we were not around much and I did not ask before we had to leave.. I considered it to be a donation to the farm. Roosters start crowing very early in the morning. And goats have a distinct smell. Not bad, just like goat haha. We had read that in other reviews and knew what to expect and did not mind at all (knowing we were staying on a working farm).. This place is not everyone’s cup of tea, but we loved staying here.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself! With a daughter In her third year at FSU I had had enough of college town. And staying At the goat Farm was perfect. Just a Short drive into town, then back to the peace and quiet of nature. I had a nice hike with Toby the farm dog. And we both got a beautiful sunset on the lake. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. And Melissa makes the best cookies ever.!

Most excellent! Highly recommend! Charming, clean, comfortable and close to everything! We were surprised by a welcome package with stuff to make s’mores on the Fire Pitt just outside the camper. The camper was clean and the bed was very comfortable. If you are over 6ft tall or heavy the bed may be a little tight for you. I’m 5’9 and my girlfriend is shorter so it fit us perfectly While it is in the middle of a neighborhood it does not feel like it. We will be back for sure.

The farm's infrastructure is still present today, and we’ve started to uncover it after 20+ years. Purchased in 2023, Our new farm will provide a place to learn about sustainability as we practice being a good steward of the land. The backbone of the farm. We aim to serve the growing interest in ECOtourism & AGRItourism, by educating the public with farm tours. We will practice *Permaculture * Food forest *Low carbon footprint *Regenerative Farming & Rotational Grazing with *HERITAGE animals. Most of our HERITAGE animals are “MINI” and part of our traveling therapy program (zoo). The farm animals aid in the conservation efforts and create awareness of historic farm animals going EXTINCT, due to industry practices. WATER is available. *Need room for more occupants?? See optional add-ons for rental tent/screen rooms we will set up to allow for additional occupants at our units. Or pay small tent fee to bring your own and place near your site. KITCHEN- *We have a small outdoor kitchen area with grill, griddle, stove, utensils, and picnic table. Basic cooking supplies are provided in your unit (oil, salt, pepper, etc) basic cookware, utensils, disposable and washable cups and plates. You are welcome to pick from the garden when its complete. There is also a common area, to eat and hang out. We will soon have a community fire pit for all to enjoy. BATHHOUSE- In the Homestead area we have a small rustic community bath house with a hot shower and a running toilet. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, and fresh towels provided. The Primitive Orchard area has cold water faucets and compost toilet. Both bath houses are close to all overnight areas. CHECK IN/Check-out time may be flexible depending upon concurrent bookings! We ask that you clear your campsite by 11am, but you are welcome to spend the remainder of the day hanging out with the goats, riding or just relaxing. Check in time is 2pm or later. Unless you are a returning guest please arrive before 7pm. (ALL late arrivals must be approved ahead of time, unless emergency.) I want to make sure everyone knows it happens! We love our domes and tents, but you should know this isn't an apartment in the city :)
