Learn more about this land: We have a suburban hobby farm hidden away in the undeveloped acreage at the back of a 1960s subdivision. Everyone who comes down the driveway says "What?! How is this here? This is so cool!" And they are right. 4 friendly adult goats, 2 indoor-outdoor cats who like belly rubs, and a vegetable and ornamentals garden that hosts several Georgia natives and pollinator species. It's a happy and peaceful place! The woods around us support several owls, Coopers hawks, some deer and an occasional red fox. There is a small nature trail that features several beautiful places to meditate by the babbling creek. Access to our neighborhood's recreation area as our guest to the swimming pool is available for an extra fee of $5/person (May-Oct). (For the safety of our goats, your fur babies larger than 10lbs are not permitted. One of our goats lost an eye once to a dog, and she's never fully forgiven me. ) We have several housemates, so parking is limited to street parking (one vehicle for you).  Amenities on-site- Animal cuddling. Nature Trail. Wildlife Watching. Creek wading. Gardening help. Wi-Fi Amenities Nearby- Bike Path (The PATH Foundation) - 5 min. Stone Mountain Park - 13 min. Downtown Tucker Restaurants - 7 min 2025 Construction notice: the county is still finishing up there pipeline replacement project, so there’s a bit of a construction scar going through our property now. The project being finished by Thanksgiving, but you never know with county delays.UPDATE: We now have 240V/50A power for our RV guests! RV site is good for a small to medium RV. This is like a forest camping spot yet close to everything Atlanta has to offer. Adam was a great host and we're sure to stay here again. Highly recommended!

Awesome host! Very responsive and the check in video tells you everything you need to know. The property is quiet and there's a fair bit of privacy for the urban setting. Would definitely return.

I loved tent camping here! They were so kind when I arrived, arrived pretty late too and still super welcoming and showed us all possible locations to camp out wherever we felt most comfortable. The goats were so cute and sweet!

We loved spending the night here! Adam is an amazing host and awesome person. His property is beautiful and the weather cools down a lot because of the trees around it. The goats were the cutest thing ever. They gave us a good night and a good morning. Plus only 15 min from the stone mountain. We will definitely go back another day! ❤️

Adam is a great host, very accommodating. The stay was nice. We had our tent in a secluded area and the girls had a blast visiting the goats and chicken.

Overall we had a good experience! Adam was a very nice host, however he lived with several other "housemates," which we were unaware of until we arrived at the site. This made us feel a little uneasy, as we camped in the host's backyard, which didn't feel very secluded. If this doesn't bother you, you'll have a great time! The goats were hilarious and his cat, Theo was very sweet:). We also really enjoyed seeing the horses.

We wanted a nice and safe place to stay the night right outside Atlanta. We found that at Adam's farm! We had a great stay. We arrived late, but could still use the bathroom inside Adam's house. In the morning we went to see the goats for a little bit and then went on our way! We also saw Adam and talked to him a little after waking up. Thank you Adam for the safe place on your property!

We had a nice time camping on Adam's property. The goats were a fun touch! His welcome video was very descriptive and answered any questions I might have had. We never met with Adam but he was able to be reached by phone if needed. Camping here helped us save so much money on lodging while visiting Atlanta!

Great spot for tent camping on a road trip or even if you just want a night outside. Adam was super communicative and the directions were easy to follow. Felt very comfortable as a woman traveling solo.

Adam and his family are awesome hosts! Very flexible, easy going and helpful. I loved the vibes of the whole area, it’s a perfect hideaway place to decompress. The campsites are private and tranquil. Goats, the birds and all the nature around are icing on the cake. Take some banana peels and the goaties will be your best friends ;)

We really enjoyed camping at the Goats and Birds Hideaway. We had a secluded spot which was nice. I loved listening to all the birds as we woke up in the morning. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

My 8 year old and I spent New Years eve at Adam's place. We were delighted to see 2 new baby goats! My daughter spent time visiting the goats and chickens. The ducks seemed to have other plans and kept waddling away! There was a trampoline and a creek for us to explore and enjoy. Adam gave us great recommendations for local fare. We found some yummy take out close by. We knew it was raining this weekend so we didn't bother with a fire. Although there was a fire pit. We actually live in Atlanta but wanted a Covid safe StayCation. This hit every box. We went to see a movie at the local theater. The whole theater was empty. Another score! Overall, a great little weekend. I recommend the place and would go again.

Had a nice time here. Lovely land. Easy arrival. Great communication. Cute goats! Friendly, easy going people. Helpful host! Folks may want to know you don’t have your car right at the site. I didn’t mind because walking back and forth with my stuff felt good after being on the road for so long. I felt a little awkward going into the home and through the family’s homelife whenever I needed to use the bathroom, though they were very welcoming and chill. I don’t mind going outdoors usually but my site didn’t feel super private from the neighbors. Maybe in the summer there’s more foliage. It’s not far from the suburban conveniences (was able to get some errands done) plus Atlanta is very close! Overall peaceful place to rest and with the wi-fi got some work done as well!

Camping here and spending time with the baby goats was wonderful! The space provided was quiet and secluded. We couldn't even tell we were near downtown Atlanta.

Goats and Birds at Hideaway Farm
Huge goat pen with 2 week old baby goats and several adult dwarf goats, all of which are very personable and affectionate. The chickens are much the same. We stayed near the pen (rooftop tent camping, camping area not accessible by car) and had no problems. Adam is super accommodating and willing to get in the goat pen and show you around and introduce you to the animals. It honestly just felt like being at a boarding house with all the different people, all of which are friendly and welcoming. Hard to beat running water and a flushing toilet when camping.

This farm setting is definitely unexpected, but we had a great time with the goats and chickens on the farm. Our tent was hidden among pine trees which made it pretty private despite the suburban setting. The host was not on the grounds but was an excellent communicator throughout our stay. All in all we had a good simple and quiet stay. And the kids had lots of fun with the animals!
