An RV site with 30A power and water hookup, but no restroom available fo the RV site. A one room cabin with a queen bed is available with a separate full bathroom. Come visit our friendly donkey (Henry) and Scottish Highland cow (Wallace). You will hear roosters, braying and some mooing early in the morning. The Withlacoochee Trail is a mile east at the end of the road. This is a biking, hiking and equestrian trail. Florida Classic Park is roughly 2 miles north on Lockhart. The Croom Recreational Area is also 3 miles away. If you are traveling with farm animals, we do have (2) 2-acre cross-fenced paddocks available for an additional fee. We opened to the public on Labor Day 2014. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). Note that GPS can be very mean in our rural area; make sure your turn off Highway 50 is onto paved High Corner Road, which is 2 miles west of I-75 (if GPS tries to turn you down unpaved, dead-end roads, DO NOT LISTEN..you will get stuck!). If you don't have your own RV, you can rent one from Ray Day's RV Rentals (229-515-7008), which is literally around the corner.

This was such a nice place to stay. There’s a large field where RVs can hook up and in the back corner there’s a little private nook for tent campers. It was so pretty with lots of Florida greenery surrounding the area and there was a fire ring and picnic table. It is by a road so there’s a bit of road noise but not enough to bother me. Depending on the size of your tent you may be spiking it into a sandy area so bring sand spikes. There was a beautiful walking trail behind the house.. if you continue on up through the little pavilion it takes you to a boardwalk by the river. It was nice to have a place close by to take a nice morning walk, it was fairly short so I walked around it a few times to get my steps in. The bathroom and shower room were very nice and very clean and much appreciated. Host gave me some recommendations for local places to eat. I enjoyed my meal and my stay here. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We had such a great time! The set up is so nice and romantic! Bed was so comfy and warm, especially after camping for several days. Hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Lovely farm and great RV layout! We booked 3 nights but only stayed 1 due to our dog. There are some sort of lil dingle berries all over the farm that were matted into our dogs fur. We literally pulled out hundreds of them numerous times. They are about the size of a peppercorn. I assume it is a grass seed of some sort. Great place just not for pets & dogs.

Robert was friendly and responded promptly when we reached out to him. His place is quiet and within close proximity to plenty of the local attractions to Tampa.

Just as the name says this was a very quiet place to stay. Away from the busy areas but close enough to many attractions within 45 minutes (Zoo Tampa, Busch Gardens, Florida State Fairgrounds, Seminole Hardrock Casino just to name some of the places we visited. Robert also was kind enough to pump our tanks before we left.

28 nights at Smokey Acres

This is a nice quiet location with plenty of room between sites. It is initially a little hard to find and the restrooms and showers could use a little TLC, and I would stay there again.
