Easy Access and Secure Camping
Located directly off Hwy 20, RV sites are at the front of the property, with plenty of room to navigate and clearance from overhead trees. The sites are behind double iron gates on a fenced and secure property.

The Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail runs along the back of the property, this bike, walking, and horse trail was formerly a railroad and now connects Downtown Gainesville to Hawthorne. The camp site it's about an hour's bike ride to Gainesville or a 15-minute drive by car. Hawthorne is just six minutes away.

This is an active Florida Department of Agriculture hemp farm and Homestead.
Animals on-site: Outside the fenced camp area, you'll find pet cows and donkeys—all friendly and never raised for food. Feel free to feed and pet them without crossing the fence! Ducks and chickens may wander near the camping area.
If you're towing horses, they are welcome to graze within the camping area. If multiple guests have horses, we’ll guide you to a larger pasture.
Pets are welcome! Just keep them leashed near the other farm animals.

Campfires are permitted—enjoy a cozy evening under the stars! 🔥
The gates remain locked and you'll have access to the lock code. Gainesville's restaurants and bars close at 2 AM, so you can enjoy a night out without worry.
Riding the Trail
The trail leads to Depot Park in Downtown Gainesville, where you’ll find restaurants, pubs, live entertainment, and the Cade Museum, there're also multiple trails, preserves and attractions along the way, the trail is part of the Paynes Prairie State Park. Electric bikes are allowed on the trail, making for an easy ride.

Set on over 60 acres along the Suwannee River, this historic property (formerly known as Suwannee River Cove) is under new ownership and being thoughtfully restored and reimagined as Oaken River. The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

Spent a couple a nights here and absolutely loved it. The sites are well appointed, bathrooms were clean and honestly best we've been in for camping. Fully stocked kitchen for anything we needed. Stephen was super attentive and helped in so many ways. We will be back many more times and next time hope to bring friends with us so they can experience this great place. Also super close to the springs.

Amazing host, super informative, even gave us a tour and directions at 9:30pm, the arrow head sink is also a super cool a private experience, well worth the price, campsites are standard with a bench, fire pit with metal grate, and compost toilet, very nice and secluded, lots of deer, rabbits, birds. Great spot.

Great spot in the Florida woods! April was amazing with tons of recommendations for paddling and things to do on a rainy day. She even provided us fresh eggs from her chickens! Loved the privacy of this spot, it was perfect for our pups who do better in camp spots without other dogs/people. They had room to roam freely and safely. Would return again!

April was super friendly and accommodating! Loved the laid back atmosphere and kayaking was the best. The springs are so pretty and even swung from a rope swing and saw a gator. How cool is that? The site was clean and had everything we needed including wildlife. It was great and glad we went!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Tom and Judy’s Hipcamp and this place is something special.
From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how beautiful the property is. The wide open field is peaceful and scenic, surrounded by tall, broad oak trees that give just the right mix of shade and sun. It’s the kind of place where you immediately relax and slow down.
The animals were a huge highlight to include friendly sheep, curious donkeys, and gentle cows roaming nearby added so much character and made the experience feel unique and memorable (especially if you’re bringing kids or just enjoy being around animals).
Everything was very well maintained. The campsite itself was clean and thoughtfully set up, and even the outhouse was spotless, which honestly says a lot about the care Tom and Judy put into their property.
On top of that, the location is perfect. There are several incredible springs nearby, and we spent our days kayaking, snorkeling, and swimming in crystal-clear water. It’s hard to beat that combination of peaceful camping and easy access to outdoor adventure.
Tom and Judy were wonderful hosts. Both friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the family farm.
We’ll absolutely be back. If you’re looking for a relaxing, scenic, and genuinely enjoyable camping experience, this is it.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Green Fairy. Detailed instructions and labels within the barn. This location is perfect for exploring Ichetucknee Springs. No more and mostly less than a 10 minute drive to both entrances with stores providing necessities within a 7 minute drive. The property is peaceful with dogwoods on property (beautiful). We were even granted the pleasure of the presence of a fawn and doe at the edge of the property on one occasion. The outdoor shower even provided us with locations to explore, for which we are greatful. We highly recommend this property if you are headed to Ichetucknee or hiking the close by preserves and trails!

Great spot, very centrally located. We enjoyed visiting Cellon Oak (20ish min drive) and Ichetucknee Springs state park (20 mins). William's place was very private and secluded. William is kind and quick to repaint if you have any questions. Wish we could've stayed more than one night. Truly a beautiful area!
