Nestled on two acres by the shores of Lake Helen, near DeLand, Florida, Cabin on the Lake presents a distinctive two-story, log cabin-style building. Our expansive grounds feature a lush grassy lawn, inviting gardens, charming statues, and a serene fountain, all available for guests to explore. The property also boasts a deck across the street on Lake Helen, perfect for enjoying the views or hosting small gatherings. Mature trees provide ample shade during warmer months, and a large hedge ensures privacy from the main road. For outdoor enjoyment, a screened porch equipped with picnic tables and a barbeque is available for guest use throughout their stay. Our Accommodations Cabin on the Lake offers four distinct rooms, each thoughtfully designed with its own unique name and theme. Many of the paintings adorning the rooms and common areas are original works by local artists, commissioned to enhance each room's specific ambiance.

The campground sites are huge. The staff is amazing. The amenities are so clean. Robyn and Mike pay such attention to detail and offer intricate special details that I never would’ve thought of but thoroughly appreciate. The animals are a plus.

Definitely served our needs. Dona was easy to communicate with and the place was quaint and in a peaceful farm setting. The main bed was comfortable. The pullout perhaps less so, so maybe bear that in mind if you’re trying to sleep 4. But otherwise, found the place charming and wish we had more time for a farm tour.

The glamping site was in a beautiful setting in the host were super accommodating and generous, providing an extra mattress for my family. The cabin was complete with off grid amenities. There were some question marks with the toilet, but everything worked out fine.

We had a great time there, we used the camper on site and another camper spot next to it. The sites are great. It’s private and surrounded by beautiful nature. The horses came to visit us every morning. The common area with kitchen and bathrooms is very well maintained. Bathrooms fully equipped with everything you’d need (from shampoo/ to towels and even a baby changer), and the complimentary coffee/hot chocolate makes us feel welcomed and appreciated. You can see that Rob and Mike take really good care of everything and they care about their guests. It’s definitely a special place!

The owners were accommodating to my late arrival. I had an unplanned schedule change and had to arrive late, but the location remained accessible. This is a prime hipcamp stay and would strongly recommend it if you want to experience a premium Airstream stay.

Weekend Trip to Lucky U Ranch

We had a great time on the property and around the area. Rob and Mike are excellent hosts and have a great operation. They give a tour of the property on Saturdays so we got to see all the goats, stallions, miniature horses, geese and donkeys! The spots are spread out nicely and the bathroom/shower area are top notch for an outdoor setting! The little touches do not go unnoticed. We stayed in the RV they have availabile and boy were we happy with it since some rain showers decided to come along on our trip. We look forward to coming back sometime. Thanks Rob and Mike!

We had an amazing stay at this campground. Our cabin was comfortable and well equipped, and the on-site amenities like the huge pool, fire pits, and ice cream truck made it extra fun for the whole family. Being only minutes from Legoland was incredibly convenient, and we loved the chance to meet and chat with other campers around the property. We would definitely come back!

Weekend Trip to Glamping @ Lake Louisa

I loved the space. It was comfortable and thoughtful. We arrived bringing very little things with us for an impromptu weekend out for the first time “glamping”. Don’t forget the bug spray and lanterns! I liked that the port-a-potties were nearby and the regular bathroom is also an option down the road. This space is next to a pond so be aware of the wildlife near by (read alligators) and be smart.

It was a wonderful relaxing stay! Dona was a fantastic host and the tour was amazing! To see that many foxes up close, to feed them eggs was a bucket list moment!! Relaxing on the porch listening to the melodic howl of the papa new guinea dingo was something I didn’t know I needed in my life!! Also, the horses literally running around playing together is something I have never seen despite staying at horse sanctuaries before. Book now you won’t regret it!
