RV camping near Homestead

Great property true urban oasis. Loved the yardbirds, landscape and the lake. John, the host is a delight and easy to communicate with. In the Miami area I don’t know of a better spot.

We had a nice visit! Very quiet, easy to find and set up. Close to the water and nice walking around park. We would definitely stay again.

Wow, what a find so close to Miami centre. I wish we'd stayed longer (arrived evening time and left really early in the morning as had to return RV). John was so friendly. Our little boy absolutely loved the lake, he was out on the canoe within minutes. Directions were spot on. Would definitely recommend.

John's land was amazing! Such a chill spot for some quiet camping near some water, as long as you don't mind chickens and roosters and the occasional cockadoodledoo every so often. Would definitely reccomend coming back here eventually!

1 night at Gods Country in Miami

This was my second time staying at Honey’s place and i need to emphasize that is an urban oasis. Driving there you go through the hustle and bustle of the city but once you arrive all of that quiets down and time slows down. The grounds are kept impeccably, the grass is green, the trees are lush and the lake is tranquil. Went to clear my mind and celebrate my dog’s birthday and came back refreshed and ready to take on life again. Thank you John for having us and being such a great host, definitely will be coming back again.

The place is well situated. Close to the sea, close to bike trails and near the grocery stores and restaurants. James is easily reachable by texto or phone. We didn't have any problems.

This was a great spot to stay in the keys! It was a short walk to the nearby park and ocean. It was very quiet, & we had good directions from James, along with restaurant recommendations!

Great, quiet location and James was very responsive and welcoming. We even extended our stay by 2 days so we could visit the lower keys. We'll definitely stay with James again on our next trip to the Keys!

If you are looking to camp and have a good time in the company of nature, this is a good place. We were a group of friends and had a great time. We were even able to use the BBQ. I recommend it.

2 nights at Islandmorada Water Retreat

This was an amazing stay. The place is as advertised and as beautiful as the pictures. It's wild opening the gate in a dense neighborhood and seeing a lush garden, free range chickens, a spring fed pond, and nicely built tent pads in a hidden oasis. Although you share the space with John & other campers, there are privacy screens & enough space to make you feel secluded. You might wake up to an airplane or occasional road traffic sounds, but that's the only reminder that you're in the middle of Miami. I would stay here again.

We had a great time. The neighborhood was quiet, the host was communicative and helpful, the sunrise from Harris park (a short walk) was stunning.

2 nights at Islandmorada Water Retreat

We loved this location, it was steps away from a public waterfront park. The site was level and the location was quiet. The host, James was very helpful and let us hook up to the electric and water. The directions to the location were very straightforward. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

Great space! Fit our RV perfectly (35ft fifthwheel with slides on both sides). Big rigs consider your skills but don't look past this spot. May need a spotter to watch the loft at the top of the stairs and the fence but we have stayed in campgrounds that are tighter. Back in was easy due to empty parking in front of the house. Grateful that James answered questions about space before arrival! Electric hookup was on the opposite side of the rig so an extension cord may be needed. Nearby park and a quiet neighborhood.
