This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. The pond is Spring-fed at the headwaters of Marsh Branch Creek which begins at our property and flows West about five miles in to Tampa Bay.
Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites.
Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants.
Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too.
Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand.
Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas.
The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish).
Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property.

As a family who has towed campers across the US a couple times utilizing Hip Camp we know others will appreciate the ease of pulling into our little 1 acre urban oasis just a couple miles off the interstate in Floridas Coolest City.
It’s an ideal location to explore St Pete as we are right between the beaches and downtown (5 miles to St Pete beach, 4 miles to downtown -$10 Uber ride), Sarasota and/or Tampa. Ours is an urban spot based on ease, safety and location, not a wilderness "experience"
We have a paved circular driveway overlooking our beehives, henhouse and seasonal garden where you’ll find a table with chairs and plenty of space to cookout and enjoy a quiet evening with a great sunset by the blowing bamboo.
This is one of South St Pete’s oldest neighborhoods- it surrounds an active former PGA golf course and lively country club. It’s a great place for safely biking or walking with green spaces, tennis courts, playgrounds and dog parks nearby.
There are many owls, raptors, green parrots, purple martins and osprey overhead as we’re just a few blocks from the beautiful Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. - not to be missed!
The Pinellas Trail is just a short bike ride away too and can lead you to downtown. It is a cyclists favorite!

Our property is 15 minutes South, from I75, 10 minutes from any restaurant or publix. We are a 2 mile drive down a dirt road, through the state forest. We offer 2-3 acres of a choose your own spot camping area. Located within the Picayune Strand State Forest, full of peace and quiet, and plenty of birds. We have a facility building that runs off a generator for running water. With that, we have a washroom, that consists of a large shower, and 2 bathroom stalls. we have then propane heated hot water for a nice hot shower. The sites are very " free range". Nothing that is too designated, so you have a free choice of where to pitch your tent, or park your camper van, or your RV.
Come and stay within the Evergaldes in Naples, of SWFL. A special private place like no other. You may have the place all to yourself, or share with others. It is not populated like other campgrounds.
The property is a designated farm, and we do have chickens.
Day time check-in is 100% recommended.

We have an amazing location to share AND we also have neighbors to the left, and across the creek. We value and respect them. We wish to share our space with quiet and mindful campers.
The property is 0.5 acre. You will be parking in part of the yard, under the shade of one of the oaks, slightly tucked back away from the house. We can be available to help/welcome you, and offer local guidance if you like.
**A sweet but fearful rescue dog lives here and we are not allowing any other animals to camp or stay on the property.** NO DOGS WHATSOEVER. You will be made to leave if you violate this condition.
***Our acceptance rate is lower because people with dogs, 5 people in their party, or no onboard facility of their own submit booking requests, which we must decline.

You can view our palms at all stages of growth from seed to maturity. Enjoy our U-pick varieties of mangos, Caribbean cherries, sugar cane, bananas, coconuts and we’re adding more all the time. There is even a sugarcane maze and bamboo gardens in progress for the kids and adults to enjoy. But don’t forget your veggies! Get up close and personal with where some of your medicines and vegetables come from. We have some small areas for education about different medicinal plants like Turmeric, ginger, saw palmetto and a few others. Take the tours or classes or just sit back and enjoy the view! Our property is 15 minutes South, from I75, 10 minutes from any restaurant or publix. We are a 2 mile drive down a dirt road, through the state forest. We offer 2-3 acres of a choose your own spot camping area. Located within the Picayune Strand State Forest, full of peace and quiet, and plenty of birds. We have a facility building that runs off a generator for running water. With that, we have a washroom, that consists of a large shower, and 2 bathroom stalls. we have then propane heated hot water for a nice hot shower. The sites are very " free range". Nothing that is too designated, so you have a free choice of where to pitch your tent, or park your camper van, or your RV.
Come and stay within the Evergaldes in Naples, of SWFL. A special private place like no other. You may have the place all to yourself, or share with others. It is not populated like other campgrounds.
The property is a designated farm, and we do have chickens.
Day time check-in is 100% recommended.

We have an amazing location to share AND we also have neighbors to the left, and across the creek. We value and respect them. We wish to share our space with quiet and mindful campers.
The property is 0.5 acre. You will be parking in part of the yard, under the shade of one of the oaks, slightly tucked back away from the house. We can be available to help/welcome you, and offer local guidance if you like.
**A sweet but fearful rescue dog lives here and we are not allowing any other animals to camp or stay on the property.** NO DOGS WHATSOEVER. You will be made to leave if you violate this condition.
***Our acceptance rate is lower because people with dogs, 5 people in their party, or no onboard facility of their own submit booking requests, which we must decline.

We loved our stay at Mike and Rachel’s property. We were able to back into our spot with no issues (27’ trailer). We had a nice peaceful stay. It was very quiet, private, and safe, which we always seek out when camping in a somewhat busy or popular area. Close to all Ft Myers Beach area had to offer. They responded immediately to any questions we had about our stay. We would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to stay at their property if in the area in the future. I enjoyed my time here. The nights were peaceful and Ted was great. What caught my eye was the wonderful tent camping price which is the lowest in the surrounding area. Ted said that’s why he set the price at what he did. I really admire and respect people who think like that. It can make traveling and camping more accessible to people.

Seriously a beautiful site with an amazing host who made sure we were taken care of. The site was beautiful and quiet and there was a dock go enjoy. Land to explore. Close to the town if needed. Will be back to enjoy the land more. Went to a festival and camped so didn't get to enjoy the site as much as we wanted, so we're gonna make a separate trip for that! He truly is a wonderful soul!

We had an amazing stay at Moonrise Palms! The site had everything we needed with water and electric hookups, and the setting was peaceful and beautiful! There is a picnic area with chairs as well. One of the absolute highlights was getting to feed the cows on the property. Such a fun experience for our whole family. They even provided a full barrel of hay for us, which made it extra special!
Melissa and Ryan were incredibly kind, welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. You can really tell they care about their guests having a great experience.
We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Moonrise Palms to anyone looking for a unique and relaxing getaway!

What makes Under the Palms particularly special are the hosts, Sylvia and Mike. I received an introductory text from Sylvia the day before my check in. That opened up the communication channel and eliminated thoughts like am I expected, will someone be there, are there going to be any surprises?. I was greeted upon arriving and asked what my interests are and was provided with guidance on places to go and things to see and do in the area tailored to my interests.
Under the Palms is handily located near Manasota Key know for it's beautiful beaches. A unique (to me) beach activity is the hunting and collecting of petrified shark's teeth. I particularly enjoyed going to Blind Pass Beach on Manasota Key where I was able to build my petrified shark tooth collection.
Under the Palms is also located within walking distance of the Dearborn historic district of Englewood. Here you will find various restaurants and cafes some with live music. On Thursdays there are 3 Farmer's Markets close to each other in the Dearborn Street district. I was able to leave my van at the Hipcamp site and walk to the markets avoiding the parking challenge. Best of all, Sylvia and Mike run a booth with breakfast and traditional German food specialties. Their booth is called "German Snack Bar". As you walk west on Dearborn Street they are in the second Farmer's Market on the right. I sampled a variety of things off of their menu. I enjoyed everything I had and it was apparent to me that they both pay p
