Located on 5 acres in the Ocala National Forest, Hookie's Hideaway is the perfect place to stay for easy access to all of nature's bounty and activities. This property is easily accessible, serene and peaceful. Campsites are in a beautiful grove of pine and sycamore trees. We are surrounded by forested camping areas and close enough to drive into town to pick up groceries or get a meal. We have a "you pick them" blueberry farm when in season. We are pet friendly! Our guests love staying here: "Camping at Gayle’s property was an amazing experience. We shared the field with 3 other campers but there was still plenty of room between sites. Land is flat and has fire pit spaces and BBQ grills. Outdoor shower was appreciated even though we didn’t use it & it was great to have the port-o-potty on site. The best part was getting to see the animals!"

Rennigers Antique Center is located right up the street (less than 5 minutes away) for some great picking. We are conveniently close to the Central Florida Attractions and the beach on both east and west coasts within an hour drivep. A few Campers favorite places to visit are Mount Dora Bike Trail - 2.6 miles, Kelly Park - 11 miles and Kings Landing 12 miles from farm. We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee. Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on. In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property. Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be. Our two level (full hookup) RV pads are on beautiful Anastasia Island within walking distance to the Atlantic ocean, Pier Court Park and the St. Augustine Amphitheater. Anastasia State Park is within a mile. St. Augustine is just over the Bridge of Lions three miles away. Each pad has its own furnished patio and small green yard space. We have a small fishing lake in the back yard (unfenced). There is a national bird rookery preserve a few blocks away so the bird watching is wonderful. There is an alligator farm and a dolphin aquarium on the island., as well as a historic continuous working light house and Maritime Museum. Our pads are just across the Bridge of Lions (2 miles) from the Oldest USA city, St. Augustine, Fl. The historic Fountain of Youth is here along with Castillo de San Marcus National Monument, St. George Street, the historic district plus many other attractions. We have two level paver RV Pads. They both have electric, black and grey water cleanout, fast high speed internet (full hookup). They each have private patios for picnics, socializing, and relaxing. Both pads have high speed internet. Pad 1 accommodates an RV up to up to 32' in length. Pad 2 accommodates an RV up to 34' in length. We accept small Class A Motorhomes (32' and under), Class B, Class C, Small 5th Wheel, Pop-up Campers, Vans and Travel Trailers. Sorry, no tent camping is allowed. There is also a large back deck with picnic area overlooking the small fishing lake in the back yard. We enjoy meeting fellow travelers and sharing our paradise island. We are LGBTQ friendly. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe. The location has easy access to great adventures, history and wonderful memories may be made here. Pets are welcome on leash. accompanied by an adult, Each pet is $5. additional fee. There is an off leash park two blocks away. Most of the beaches are also pet friendly. It is surrounded by acres of Pine Forest so enjoy the fresh air, listen to the birds, look at the wild life. We have about a dozen of chickens and a few roosters.The property is conveniently located 1 mile away from the Interstate 95, and 1 mile away from US1. 3 min drive to the grocery store( Publix).  Plenty of stuff to do around - fishing, canoeing and swimming- within 10-15 minutes to the River, Beaches and the Ocean; tons of natural preserves, parks and historic places. Tennis court, pickle ball courts and a play ground is across the street. 20-30 min to Daytona Beach or historic St.Augustine. A little over an hour to Orlando with Disney, Universal and other parks, Jacksonville or Cape Canaveral. Whatever your interest is - you can find it around - many of restaurants, wine tasting, fresh food market 7 days a week, NASCAR, Auditorium with performances, water sports, bike week, movie theater, and many more.  We have a water and electricity hook ups for 4 spots. Spaces for the boats are available also. No sewage disposal.There is a dog on the property. Dogs are ok but have to be cleaned after and be on the leash.Please no loud noise after the dark, no drugs or heavy drinking.Our guests love staying with us " We enjoyed our stay at Roxie’s place. Really great location close to the beach and grocery stores and restaurants, yet it is still in a quiet place just off the beaten path. Roxie is a wonderful host who met us upon arrival and departure to make sure all was going well. She even gave us some amazing fresh eggs from her chickens that roam freely on the land. (Be prepared for a lot of rooster crowing EARLY in the mornings). Our campsite was level and had water and electric. It was not too close to the other campers who were there and we had plenty of privacy. Star gazing was awesome! Highly recommend."

So serene and pleasant, the host and resident doggy were great!! We had fun relaxing in this spacious site, the walk to convenience stores was super light and we appreciated the boat launch just across the street! I didn't realize exactly how close we'd be to a stunning dock for enjoying morning journaling or sunset paddling on the calm Lake Ida. We felt safe here, the neighborhood seemed welcoming and there were plenty of dogs to meet on our walks! Thanks again!

I highly recommend celestial acres. I’ve been staying on the Venus site and I loved it so much. I booked a couple extra days.. Jen is absolutely a phenomenal host and her farm is absolutely beautiful. She’s very friendly and gives great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. It’s very close to Saint Augustine,, yet you feel like you’re far away from the city! My dog and I loved meeting the animals as well, especially Hickory, the horse!

Gayle’s horse farm is beautiful, clean, and safe . The property is spacious, secluded and gated. The amenities are: A very clean port potty that is cleaned very often and an outdoor shower that provides starry skies and hot water Gayle is very hands off, and respects privacy. I have been to quite a few places where the host could be a bit intrusive. It’s surrounded by swamp lands, where you can gaze at heals, eagles and owls as well as the occasional critter. About 15 minutes away from beach, casino, shopping and restaurants galore, yet tucked away from it all, in case you want to unwind . I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys peace and solitude with beautiful surroundings and safe environment Rudy D

We loved our stay on the farm! The property was well kept and the campsites were set up nicely. We did visit during the off season, so we had the place to ourselves except for one night. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The farm animals were so cute. Lastly, the farm cats were the best! They both came up to us for some love and attention. The one cat, Spurs, sat on my lap at our campsite one of the nights as we sat by the camp fire. We will definitely book again!
