Some are still traveling further south in Florida. Some are heading home (Wyoming, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio). We offer three Amish built log cabins at our RV Campground. Each cabin has a front porch, one bedroom with queen size bed and a set of bunk beds in the living area. Two burner stove top, full size microwave and refrigerator. Full size bathroom with large walk-in shower. Fully furnished with towels and linens as well as dishes, cooking utensils and coffee pot. Smart TV with Dish Network. Wi-Fi is included. The Campground is fenced and gated and we are pet friendly. There is a laundry facility on site for the guests. There is a fire pit if you want to relax. In the summer we have a stock tank pool (opens in April) to cool off after a long day on the water. Steinhatchee is located in Taylor County Florida along the Gulf of America. Inshore and offshore fishing is year-round. Scallop season is June 15 to Labor Day. More than 20 springs are located within 45 minutes of Steinhatchee. Too numerous to count are the Florida Wildlife Management areas that are accessible by car and allow for bird watching and animal siting of deer and wild boar. Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape on 20 acres of serene rural land. Take a walk to the chicken coop and hear all of the chickens' opinions. Collins Farm is conveniently located 20 minutes south of Gainesville, right off of 441. OR 30 minutes north of Ocala, off of interstate 75. Quick on and off highway, less than 5 miles from exit 384. Private, peaceful camping is available with full RV hook-up that includes sewer, 50 amp electric with a 30 amp adapter, and water. Your campsite is located right in the heart of our farm. While at your site, you will see and surely be entertained by our goats, sheep, horse, Charlie and Dottie Mae our Kunekune pigs, chickens, Eduardo our turkey, and many more. The wildlife that you see is dependent on the season but likely includes deer, sand cranes, and the occasional bald eagles. Pets are welcome. We just ask for the safety of our farm friends that they stay on a leash. A fire pit and picnic table is at each site. We also include animal feed so you can feed the animals through the fence at your leisure. We kindly ask that you only feed them their feed and no other feed to ensure their health. For those needing grocery delivery. Instacart and Shipt delivers to Collins Farm on a regular basis. The historic town of Micanopy is just a few minutes' drive from Collins Farm and offers antique shopping, restaurants, unique gift shops, and entertainment. Paynes Prarie Preserve State Park is also within a few miles and offers hiking trails and wildlife sightseeing. There is also trails for horseback riding within two miles of Collins Farm.

This was our second visit to Capt’s Land and we’re already looking forward to our next trip! The property is private, peaceful, and absolutely beautiful. We love relaxing around the fire pit in the evenings, and having firewood provided makes it even better. The river view is absolutely gorgeous and makes the whole stay feel so special. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature.

Mr. Mike and his wife were supper nice people that made you feel completely welcomed. They answered all of my questions and answered very quickly. They also stayed to them selves while we stayed. So if your an introvert like me, don't get discouraged by looking at the pictures and feeling like your in someone's back yard with no privacy. There is plenty of privacy and I wouldn't hesitate to book another trip with them. Thank you guys for sharing your little peice of heaven with us.

The Hatch Bend Hideaway offers only one full hook-up site.
The property owner, Capt. Cas, has a covered destination trailer permanently on property and does occupy during the evening.

We have reserved 4A River Camp multiple times during February and each time we have loved this beautiful and peaceful site! Being right on the banks of Santa Fe River is amazing! The site is spacious and private as well as being accessible to Ichetucknee Springs SP. We always enjoying canoeing, snorkeling, bicycling right from our camp. Michael is a gracious host and always willing to do whatever he can to accommodate our needs.

Amazing camp spot! Loved the goats! Very well maintained. Appreciated the outhouse. Pick site 1 if you can. It has gravel and direct view of goats and all hook ups are on left side. We didn’t know what to think before we arrived as we were just looking for a place to test out the new RV and Crossroads was very biker friendly. Turns out it was a perfect weekend. There just happened to be jack Russel Terrier races going on so there were dogs everywhere but the wife and I love dogs so it just added to the adventure. The campground was perfectly fine. Everything worked great. The only downside was we wanted full hookups and to get sewer we had to take a location close to annuals, but nobody messed with us or was loud. We walked the grounds and it was beautiful land. The waterfalls were all working and flowing as they should. We don’t drink much but the bar looked excellent. We did have a cheesecake on a stick and it was amazing. All in all it was excellent for the price. The owner was fantastic and very helpful even offering to let us use things if we forgot something.

We loved it at Nealsnest! It wasn't a planned stop but glad we did. Stayed 3 nights in our RV. Quiet and peaceful with tall trees all around the property. Less than 30 min to Cedar Key and beach. I had to work, so set up my laptop on a nearby picnic table for a few hours. Also love the astroturf next to the RV site and badminton court. It may not be natural, but it feels great stepping out onto it and is visually appealing amongst the dry sandy ground. Only a handful of sites, but plans for more are in the works. It's a perfect setting. Owners live on the adjacent property. Tina was very responsive and greeted us when we arrived and later checked in to make sure all was good. Also can't beat the price. I'm sure it won't stay that way as they expand and become more well-known. Highly recommend!

We always enjoy staying at this Hipcamp site. Tina has set up such a warm and welcoming campsite with improvement since we were here last year. We returned due to it being very convenient to go down to Cedar Key for dinner and a beautiful spot on property for stargazing. We will definitely return again in the future.

Absolutely fantastic hipcamp, this is was the exact reason why we love to hipcamp: connection, safety, and adventure. By far my favorite so far. The host was so lovely and immediately made this place feel safe and like home. From the thoughtful details like a tree swing and coffee station to the cozy cabin itself with a fire pit, we felt at home miles from our own. I will most definitely be back with my family and friends.
