Kelli’s land truly exceeded my expectations. What stood out the most was how peaceful and spacious everything felt. The little house and the entire property have beautiful details that reflect so much love in every corner. We had a fantastic time staying at this lovely tony house as our base for a weekend of camping and adventures. We loved that we could enjoy the wilderness during the day and return to exactly what we needed to relax after a long day outdoors. A wonderful firepit and beautiful sunsets. The property was clean, comfortable, and the host Kelli was easy to communicate with. Lots of privacy. We had a blast feeding the goats in the property. I would highly recommend staying here. I surely will be on my next trip to Arcadia!

We found ourselves “homeless” for a night. Aaron’s spot was perfect for our needs. The sight was on his small fruit tree nursery, with a chicken. It was easily accessible, provided electricity, water and was gated. It was close enough to amenities yet was in a rural area. Aaron was very personable and spoke with my husband for quite awhile about his property and his plans. We would stay again.

Great quiet site with power and water. Close enough to get anywhere you need to during the day, but far enough out to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Definite hurricane damage in 2024 in the area, but owner is working hard to rebuild and get the site back to its beautiful greenery again. I would stay again.

We had a nice time camping at Aaron's place. It was quite and peaceful. Our English Setters loved to walk around his property. We had a issue with our water heater in our RV so we had to use his outside shower for a few days. It got us by until our new one arrived. The on site camper that was supposed to have a toilet and shower was damaged during the last hurricane so be sure your camper is fully self contained if you camp here or check first to see if repairs have been made. We Kayaked on the Orange River out of the Manatee Park about 5 miles from the campsite. We saw lots of wildlife including several Manatees. We also rode our Harley to Fort Meyers, Everglades City, and Sarasota. There all less than 2 hours away. It's a good centralized lication. Aaron was polite and helpful with any questions or concerns we had.

This property was the best Hipcamp experience we have had- out of 8 locations. The beautiful, rural Florida property is located down a dirt road, surrounded by fruit trees, and other natural vegetation. It is very well maintained/ Raised gravel site to park RV or trailer, with access to water and 50 amp electric. It’s beautiful and quiet. Close to our family on ft Myers. A great alternative to the crowed, overpriced commercial campgrounds. Our dog enjoyed long walks. I highly recommend staying here. Aaron is the perfect host.

My daughters and I stayed at Brittany's spot for the three day weekend and loved it. The space was clean and Brittany was such an incredible hostess! The amenities are great. The bathroom was immaculate, the water was clean thanks to the ro filters, the property is well kept. There was even a barrel sauna, could plunge and washer and dryer, but didn't end up using any of them. We also got to feed the chickens, the cows and donkeys were off somewhere else but the chickens came running! I'd highly recommend this spot and if I plan to be in the Fy Myers area again I wouldn't hesitate to book this one again!

Aaron’s RV spots are a few miles from I-75. The property is quiet, partially because of the short dirt road to get to his place and large lots. Also, the road was great for walking our dog and also a small dog-friendly county park with a trail nearby, too. Very convenient to Fort Myers! We stayed for a week. One note: we needed an extension cord to reach the electrical box on the second site from the gate. Would definitely stay again!!

I had an amazing stay at this lovely campsite! The host was incredibly friendly, responsive, and made sure I had everything I needed. The lot was clean, well-maintained, and felt very safe, which gave me great peace of mind during my visit. One of my favorite parts of the stay was the beautiful bamboo tree on the property—it added such a peaceful and scenic touch to the surroundings. My two dogs absolutely loved the freedom of exploring the area and enjoyed all the nice walks we were able to take. Overall, I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thanks again for providing such a great experience—I look forward to returning!

Where to go

Alafia River State Park

A reclaimed phosphate mine that’s now home to trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, Alafia River State Park features tent campsites, RV campgrounds, cabin rentals, and yurt rentals. Just make reservations online to ensure a spot during the busy months of June, July, and August. While here, kayak or canoe on the river while reeling in fish for dinner, or spend the day picnicking near the playground.

Peace River

Flowing adjacent to Arcadia, the 105-mile Peace River features fast-flowing water best for boating rather than swimming—a chartered airboat is a great way to explore. In August and September, though, water levels are lower and swimming is possible in shallower areas. The Northern Watershed area (known as Bone Valley) is a popular place for fossil digging, too. Find a waterfront campground nearby, and keep an eye out for alligators, turtles, and native birds.

Gulf Coast

Only an hour's drive west from Arcadia, the Gulf Coast is home to dozens of beaches where tepid waters make swimming, scuba diving, fishing, and strolling sandy shores enjoyable year-round.
