🐝 👀check out our EXTRAS👀 🐝 Elderberry/Hot Sauce/Bug Spray/Pickleball/surfboards 🦩WE ONLY HOST VANS/CLASS B vehicles/very small travel trailers🦩 🌈 Everyone Welcome 🌈 As a family who has towed campers across the US a couple times utilizing Hip Camp we know others will appreciate the ease of pulling into our little 1 acre urban oasis just a couple miles off the interstate in Floridas Coolest City. It’s an ideal location to explore St Pete (5 miles to St Pete beach, 4 miles to downtown -$12 Uber ride), Sarasota and/or Tampa. We have a paved circular driveway overlooking our beehives, henhouse and seasonal garden where you’ll find a table with chairs and plenty of space to cookout & enjoy a quiet evening with a great sunset under the bamboo. This is one of South St Pete’s oldest neighborhoods- it surrounds an active former PGA golf course and lively country club. It’s a great place for safely biking or walking with playgrounds and dog parks nearby. There are many owls, raptors, green parrots and osprey overhead as we’re just a few blocks from the beautiful Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. - not to be missed! The Pinellas Trail is just a short bike ride away too and can lead you to downtown.

By the Pond...

11 sites · RVs, Tents33 acres · Ruskin, Hillsborough
Stay by a lovely pond on 33 acre fruit and ornamental tree nursery property with great vibes. Located near I-75 just 20 miles South of Tampa, 35 miles east of Saint Petersburg, 35 miles North of Sarasota, 2 hours West of Orlando. This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. Approximately 33 private acres allows for space and social distancing. Site is loaded with hundreds of fruit trees Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava), and thousands of banana plants. Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too. Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand. Part s of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas. The nursery has plenty of trees, & some fields - large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish). Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property. We think the property is lovely, and definitely want you to enjoy your camping experience!

Cotee River Bend

15 sites · RVs, Tents5 acres · New Port Richey, Pasco
Our RV Campsites are located in a grassy field next to dense woods. Electric and water hookups are included in the RV/Camper sites, but not the Tent Site. All sites have a picnic table. Cell phone service is not a problem, as we are not that remote (although it sort of feels like we are when you are here) - we are 5 min from downtown New Port Richey, 2 minutes from groceries, gas, restaurants. This beautiful slice of Old Florida is named for the Pithlachascotee River that bends along the back side of the property. Pithlo is the Creek word meaning canoe, and chaskita means to dig or chop out, together signifying "place where canoes are chopped or dug out". Seminoles of this area used canoes dug out from the great cypress trees found along Florida rivers. From the 1980s until 2014, this property was owned by the Cotee River Lions Club. They held a popular monthly pancake breakfast fundraiser in the large pavilion along the river. We purchased this 4.9 acres of land in late 2019. It is now where we live and have a woodworking shop. It has been a magical place for us, with no shortage of wildlife, rich jungle forest, a lazy winding narrow river, and even the occasion river otter sighting. We are grateful to all the humans who have occupied this place over the centuries before us for keeping it as nature intended it. It is our intention to do our part to conserve and protect its natural beauty as long as possible. We hope you find it to be as restful and rejuvenating as we do.

Camping for Pawsibilities

5 sites · RVs, Tents1 acre · North Port, Sarasota
I originally bought this piece of property to start an animal rescue. Of course like most first-time home owners I ran into One Financial issue after another. This has set back my animal rescue plans. I have decided to start this hipcamp to create some kind of funds for the property that will go towards the animal rescue goal. Right now this is just a trial run. If things seem to go well I will be adding different features to the property to make for a more comfortable / exciting stay. In the meantime I highly appreciate anyone who's willing to come out and park their RV or put up a tent - you my friend are potentially saving a life in the future ❤🐾 * Please give other guests privacy best as you can. * If you have kids, please do not let them climb trees / things. * If you need anything please let me know before or after you arrive. I like to give guests privacy, so do not feel offended if i do not come out to greet you. * Please clean up after your self before you leave. RV parking : Please check the feild before parking - the back left of the feild is not level. Generators allowed. No sewage dump on property. The gravel area is for RV's that need power and water. Tent camping : in the wooded area - please be aware of poison ivy, down trees from the last major storm (Ian), wildlife, and anything else that comes with nature. Park where you would like but leave the gravel area for RV's that need power and water. Provided For Tent campers: * We have 3 different portable potties with a privacy tent (+ Toilet paper / trash bags / sanitizer wipes ) * Outdoor shower with a tent (+ travel size shower washes / towels / shower floor mat ) * A utility sink (+ hand soap /dish soap / scrubby / hand towel) can provide a bucket if needed * We also have 1 portable fire pit if no one else is using it (+ Grill tools / Plates / plastic wear / cups / paper towels) * Large trash can at front of feild by Fence and small one near shower. * 2 folding chairs (have other types if they are being used) * Dirty laundry basket next to shower * Tarp if you need can be provided Ask for anything else you might need. The pool is not available at this time. (sorry in advance for the pool area being a mess it's hard to keep up on after Ian and my screens being destroyed) Also: * There is very little light out here at night. I have solar lights but Please bring some light of your own. * The neighbors have several farm animals including roosters. * They also have active kids who enjoy riding 4 wheelers, having a fire and sometimes listening to music. * There is a Male dog that likes to come see my dogs, he is friendly just very vocal. I do ask his owners that he is kept put up when i have campers but some times he sneaks out. * I try to make sure no one is in the back yard before i let my dogs out to potty, but just so you know they are all very nice. * Yes we have mosquitoes. Extras: * Pets allowed but must be leashed at all times if outside. * Ask questions !! Thank you !

Bayou Bliss

1 site · RV1 acre · Sarasota, Sarasota
Only 2 miles (5min drive) from downtown Sarasota. This neighborhood has old-Florida charm: lots of lush tropical greenery, on Whitaker’s Bayou. It’s the best of both worlds: peaceful nature on the creek, and easy access to all the best restaurants, beaches, and charming Main St atmosphere. Biking to Main St takes 8-10minutes if you have bicycles! Ten minute drive from St-Armands Circle and Lido Beach; 20-25 minute drive from Siesta Key Beach. The Bayou goes all the way out to the Gulf, in about a 30+ minute paddle. The Bayou is tidal, and paddling at mid to high tide is recommended as some spots get shallow at low tide. We see large schools of mullet here, occasionally turtles, hawks, and herons. We have a 36” campfire pit you are welcome to use that sits near the creek. We are still working on getting seating for the campfire pit, but if you have camping chairs, it’s perfect! We have an amazing location to share AND we also have neighbors to the left, and across the creek. We value and respect them. We wish to share our space with quiet and mindful campers. Back your RV or camper into the property. Depending on the size of your van/rig, you could park to the right or left of the oak that centers the driveway area. We can provide 15amp and 30amp electricity/plug in - plz bring your own adapter if you require one. An extension cord is also needed to reach the plug. We can fill your water tank (city water), but can’t leave you connected to the water. We *do not* have bathroom/shower facilities, which is why we are only accepting RVs/campers who have their own facilities on board. The property is 0.5 acre. As you will be parking in part of the large driveway area, or under one of the oaks near the fence (depending on the size of your rig). We can be available to help/welcome you, and offer local guidance if you like. We will send you a code for the gate the morning of your check in. **A sweet but fearful rescue dog lives here and at this time we are not allowing any other animals to camp or stay on the property.** NO DOGS WHATSOEVER. You will be made to leave if you violate this condition. We work so hard to help him progress - thank you for respecting our needs, at our home. ***Our acceptance rate is lower because people with dogs, 5 people in their party, or no onboard facility of their own submit booking requests, which we must decline.

Rasayana Cove

2 sites · Lodging25 acres · Ona, Hardee
Rasayana Cove is a 25-acre eco-retreat located in the heartland of west central Florida. An hour's drive east of Sarasota surrounded by vast tracts of orange groves and ranch land, Rasayana Cove has been operating as a small retreat center since 1995. The long eastern boundary borders Horse Creek, a major tributary of the Peace River. The property features two spring-fed ponds - one small and the other large.  The cabins are accessible by well constructed shell-topped roads with good drainage and a variety of nature pathways.  A natural ecosystem remains undisturbed in the middle of the property - a Florida bay head of native flora and wildlife. While most of the state is crowded and overdeveloped, this eco-retreat offers a haven of peace in the pristine nature of Florida

Island Retreat Florida

6 sites · Tents2 acres · Progress Village, Hillsborough
After 6 years of my neighbor bugging me to buy this island, I finally took him up on it.  My neighbor bought it in the 1970's but did little with it.  It has been overgrown for years. I am actively work to develop multiple campsites of the island for enjoyment of the river and its surrounding. All money from your stay here is re-invested back into the property. Learn more about this land:Ever wonder what it would be like to stay on a deserted island? This is truly an adventure you will never forget. Once you land in paradise you will wander thru the looping trail system to find your campsite. There are (4) campsite with elevated tent platforms tucked back in the trees.  Now that you are settled in,  time to gather wood and build a fire in one of the (2) 8 foot wide,  2 ton concrete fire pits.  Awake a dawn with a nice kayak/canoe trip on a secluded water trail thru mangrove islands and stop for lunch at River's Edge Bar & Grill across the river from the island.  Having too much fun, take a nap in hammock and rock to breeze and sounds of river. This is an island is accessible via water only so there is some preparation to get here and stay here.  Kayaks, Canoes and a shuttle are available if you don't have your own transportation. Please contact prior to booking to ensure you understand the packages, for example,  if you want to rent the whole island for yourself and need transportation for your group. We offer tailored quote for package based on your needs.
