Hunter Springs is a great little park with a beach area for swimming and kayak rentals too.
There are also several Diving with the Manatee tours available. One we suggest in town is Fun2Dive. These are all only a short drive away.
You can enjoy swimming, fishing, scalloping, snorkeling, kayaking, pontooning just five minutes away, or just relaxing back at camp fireside.
Heritage Village is in town filled with many hometown eateries and shoppes. It's a great way to spend the afternoon and explore downtown Crystal River.

Wildlife can be seen and heard on the Sunflower Farm to include longhorn cows, turkeys and many bird life and sounds with an occasional deer and peacock siting's . This site has 1 RV Spot, a quaint cozy cottage and a tent site. This farm is located in the bend of Florida on the Gulf where there are lots of activities to experience in the area to include; kayaking, biking, fishing, boating, manatee siting's, state parks, natural springs and MUCH MUCH MORE! Along with many wonderful local restaurants with fantastic food and water views that include music and entertainment and beautiful memorable sunsets. And lets not forget Monkey Island on the River where you can dine or boat around the monkeys Island and watch them in their river habitat.
Sunflower Farm is just 6.5 miles to Crystal River going North on Hwy 19 in Citrus County and just 6.5 miles going South where many of the activities are mentioned, to enjoy, along with boat ramp access in those areas to the Gulf. Also you are just a little over 1 hour from Tampa, Gainesville or Orlando Florida where you can experience a vast selection of adventures with just taking a day trip. And just 30 minutes away from the property there is the Buccaneer Bay Water Park, a State Park and Florida's only spring-fed waterpark with slides, a lazy river and mermaid shows located inside the Weeki Wachee Springs State Park. Homosassa is also a great area to stay for Florida's Scallop Season which runs from around the end of June to end of September (check the year schedule) every year. Homosassa is an old Florida fishing town that is a hidden gem along the gulf coast, this site is nestled quietly at the head of the river on our shared residential property. This location is close to the head springs and Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park where you can discover the wild side of Florida with endangered Florida panther, red wolf, manatee and whooping crane, plus black bear, bobcat and, of course, alligator.
The site is located 150 ft from the dock on our private residential property at the head of the springs, the dock is not visible from the site you do have to walk down to the dock area. This is a residential area and is very quiet. You can see the layout of the property in the photos from an aerial view as well as other photos of the setup.
This listing is for the SITE ONLY. Setup your own RV under the shade then enjoy our shared dock into the Homosassa springs for a refreshing dip or paddle. We provide full hookups (water, sewer, 50amp electric) for your RV as well as WIFI service and access to the docks for your boat or swimming. We have kayaks and paddleboards INCLUDED with our site or bring your own to paddle the springs and take a chance at seeing a manatee up close and personal or catching some fish. Wildlife can be seen and heard on the Sunflower Farm to include longhorn cows, turkeys and many bird life and sounds with an occasional deer and peacock siting's . This site has 1 RV Spot, a quaint cozy cottage and a tent site. This farm is located in the bend of Florida on the Gulf where there are lots of activities to experience in the area to include; kayaking, biking, fishing, boating, manatee siting's, state parks, natural springs and MUCH MUCH MORE! Along with many wonderful local restaurants with fantastic food and water views that include music and entertainment and beautiful memorable sunsets. And lets not forget Monkey Island on the River where you can dine or boat around the monkeys Island and watch them in their river habitat.
Sunflower Farm is just 6.5 miles to Crystal River going North on Hwy 19 in Citrus County and just 6.5 miles going South where many of the activities are mentioned, to enjoy, along with boat ramp access in those areas to the Gulf. Also you are just a little over 1 hour from Tampa, Gainesville or Orlando Florida where you can experience a vast selection of adventures with just taking a day trip. And just 30 minutes away from the property there is the Buccaneer Bay Water Park, a State Park and Florida's only spring-fed waterpark with slides, a lazy river and mermaid shows located inside the Weeki Wachee Springs State Park. Homosassa is also a great area to stay for Florida's Scallop Season which runs from around the end of June to end of September (check the year schedule) every year. Homosassa is an old Florida fishing town that is a hidden gem along the gulf coast, this site is nestled quietly at the head of the river on our shared residential property. This location is close to the head springs and Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park where you can discover the wild side of Florida with endangered Florida panther, red wolf, manatee and whooping crane, plus black bear, bobcat and, of course, alligator.
The site is located 150 ft from the dock on our private residential property at the head of the springs, the dock is not visible from the site you do have to walk down to the dock area. This is a residential area and is very quiet. You can see the layout of the property in the photos from an aerial view as well as other photos of the setup.
This listing is for the SITE ONLY. Setup your own RV under the shade then enjoy our shared dock into the Homosassa springs for a refreshing dip or paddle. We provide full hookups (water, sewer, 50amp electric) for your RV as well as WIFI service and access to the docks for your boat or swimming. We have kayaks and paddleboards INCLUDED with our site or bring your own to paddle the springs and take a chance at seeing a manatee up close and personal or catching some fish. We love to share our space with like minded outdoorsy people who respect nature and like to relax in the outdoors. This is not a party place, loud music or late nights aren't acceptable.

Amazing site! We will definitely be coming back. The amenities under the stilt house are beyond anything we expected and made the stay so much more relaxing. The salt marsh trails close by are absolutely stunning. We even had the pleasure of being awoken by a dolphin hunting a fish in the canal at 6:00am lol. Definitely recommend!

Easy to find and set up. Great location and sitting by the water and feeding the fish was the highlight. Used the kayaks were a bonus. Fresh filtered ice was also a bonus. Wi-Fi available but not a great signal. Also, cell service not good but not the hosts fault. Quite street and close to every thing you need.

We had a great stay here! Hosts met us down at our site when we got there in the rain and made sure we were good to go. The property is super quiet and peaceful and we loved the two mini longhorns that curiously watched over us. This is a great little campsite right in the old Homosassa area. The access to the river and up to the springs was great and it was not a very far kayak trip. The site is very well maintained even though you’re around houses it’s very private feeling everything worked great I will definitely be returning to this site.

Camping at long horn was great the site was full hookup with 50 amp electric. The host of the property was great they met us at the gate and made sure we were go to go. They also had 2 long horn cattle that hung out in the pasture next to the site.

Love this place! We enjoyed the dock so much. Paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming. We even saw a manatee. The only downside is the mosquitoes. They are pretty bad. Also, I recommend coming down Fishbowl if you’re in a larger camper. We had a very hard time getting our 40 ft 5th wheel in to the spot the way maps takes you. Coming from the opposite way is extremely helpful. Would absolutely come back!
